The 44-year-old actress-and-director - who has Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 11, with former husband Brad Pitt - thinks the next generation need to be "prepared" to tackle global issues but she doesn't just want to educate her own children about it.Asked about values she teaches her children, Angelina told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "Kindness - to others and themselves. It's important to be humble - know the freedoms you have and what you've been blessed with and make sure you help others. And always remember your place - we're all human and very flawed. We're tiny pieces in a much bigger world."As they grow up, I find my children are strong individuals but still open-minded. I try to lead by example and be kind and gracious, as my mother was - and loving and tolerant. But when there's a fight that needs to be had, get in there. We need to prepare the next generation because there's so much happening in the world - they're up against it."I'm working on a programme for children with the BBC. We're counting on our children so we must give them the right knowledge and support."We've made a lot of advances and mistakes - we need to be honest and educate them about the world. And Angelina is also working on a factual book for children about their rights. She added: "I'm also working on a book about kids' rights with Amnesty. It's written for children."Often we can encourage children to know their rights and speak out, but in parts of the world they're hurt or jailed for doing so."We have to be realistic and give children the right tools and information."

She is gearing up for the release of the eagerly-anticipated Disney flick, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. And Angelina Jolie, 44, took time out of her promotional duties, as she enjoyed an action-packed day at Thorpe Park in Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, England on Sunday with her children.Proving to be every inch the thrill-seeker, the Oscar winning actress looked in her element as she got strapped in her seat on a ride at the amusement park - which she also visited last year for her 43rd birthday. Angelina didn't sport any hint of nerves as she got comfortable on the ride Stealth - the fastest roller coaster in the UK.Cutting a casual figure in a all-black look, Angelina had her brunette locks slicked back into a bun and she shielded her features from the sun with a pair of shades.Angelina also appeared to be joined by five of her six children - Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, Vivienne, 11, and Knox, 11.Meanwhile, Disney has shared behind-the-scenes video and images of Angelina's remarkable hair and makeup transformation for the upcoming movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The video shows the brunette's hair being styled into twin buns, which then become Maleficent's trademark horns. In the captivating promo for the movie, which is set for release on 18 October 2019, the ex-wife of Brad Pitt sits in the makeup chair while being shown having her makeup and facial prosthetics applied. Finally she adds some pointed dentures and red lipstick for her character's trademark evil grin. The entire video is set to AD/DC's Back In Black, lending the proceedings a tongue-in-cheek effect.Disney beginners may not recall that Maleficent is the evil fairy in the classic 1959 animation Sleeping Beauty, and that Angelina Jolie played her in a 2014 live-action film Maleficent.Just five years on, Jolie is playing her again in Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, still wearing kinky black horns, fighting good fairies and sorting out her conflicted maternal feelings towards sweet Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning). This time she has competition from a neighbouring queen (Michelle Pfeiffer). The original 2014 film grossed a whopping $758million worldwide.

Marvel’s Eternals has a lot of fans curious since they are relatively obscure characters and were actually killed in the comics not too long ago, likely to make room for a relaunch. The movie will have a big cast, including Hollywood A-lister Angeline Jolie, who will be playing Thena. Since this is a Marvel movie, Jolie is getting in shape since she knows that there will be a need for her to get physical, even with stunt doubles.Funnily enough, talking with OK! Magazine (via Metro), Jolie revealed that she has attended some of her children’s physical activity classes to get in shape. No joke, the Maleficent star stated that she has gone to her son’s weapon classes and daughter’s karate lessons, even taking part in them. This is interesting, to say the least, though she has probably been going to the gym as well. “My son Knox does some weapons classes and Viv does karate so I’ve been jumping into all their classes. I’m the mum that keeps showing up. It’s been fun and going to the gym together is really good.” Some of us might find this cute, cringe-inducing, or simply misleading, but it seems that Jolie is excited to join the MCU. Admittedly, Thena is far from the most popular character in Marvel history but you can bet that Jolie will make her memorable, especially with a little CGI magic. Personally, I’m excited to see what she brings to the table. Jolie has always been a great actress, despite what the Maleficent movies have shown, and she adds a lot of presence to this relatively unknown Marvel movie. Then again, Marvel Studios is huge now and they can make any comic book movie now.Marvel’s Eternals will be coming out next year, on November 6, 2020.

Angelina Jolie has revealed that her doting children go out of their way to make her feel special. Talking exclusively to HELLO! about the importance of self-care as the new muse of Mon Guerlain's Eau de Parfum Intense, the actress discusses how most women often don't make time for themselves or feel guilty when they do. But she says her six children - Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and Vivienne and Knox, 11 know how to make her feel special and ensure that special days like Mother's Day are celebrated to the fullest.
"On Mother's Day my children make me breakfast and pick me flowers – they treat me like a lady," she revealed. "When I do take time for myself, I rediscover that softness I speak of... I also realise I have more fight and resilience in me than I knew. But at my core I'm soft and vulnerable - it's not my dream just to be strong. I want to be allowed to be soft and I don’t want to be harmed or feel unsupported when I am." HELLO! sat down with the actress and humanitarian while she was in Paris with her godmother, the British actress Jacqueline Bisset. The duo were in town for the launch of Mon Guerlain's Eau de Parfum Intense, which has notes of vanilla as the star ingredient."It's wonderful to be back in Paris. It reminds me that I don't spend nearly enough time here," she said. "Sometimes we're somewhere in our lives and can't really imagine something different – we don't take ourselves out of a place. But when I'm in Paris, I feel like a different person – and I’m curious about that side of myself. It’s enlightening here." Angelina's visit to the country is close to her heart – it was where she gave birth to her twins – also coincides with a press preview of the perfume's promotional film, shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki at Angelina's new home in Cambodia.
"When I first started working with Guerlain in 2017, we spoke about how perfume commercials often capture a fantasy life – and we wanted to deliver something that was a little heightened but still real. The first Mon Guerlain film was shot at my home in France. For this new perfume, given its strength and our conversations around femininity, freedom and making bold choices, my new home in Cambodia seemed like the natural setting. My [Maddox Jolie-Pitt] Foundation has been based in Cambodia for 17 years and it has been a dream of mine to live in that part of the world. The film is set in the home that I’ve finally built there." It certainly feels like a new life chapter for the mother of six. Her son Maddox, 18, recently started college in South Korea. Angelina says it has given her a new perspective: "When your children are little you feel more 'mommy'. When they are teenagers you start to remember yourself as a teenager. You see them going to punk clubs and you wonder why you can't go. I'm in this fun moment where I’m rediscovering myself."
Asked about values she teaches her children, Angelina replied: "Kindness – to others and themselves. It's important to be humble – know the freedoms you have and what you've been blessed with and make sure you help others. And always remember your place – we’re all human and very flawed. We're tiny pieces in a much bigger world. "As they grow up, I find my children are strong individuals but still open-minded. I try to lead by example and be kind and gracious, as my mother was – and loving and tolerant. But when there's a fight that needs to be had, get in there. We need to prepare the next generation because there’s so much happening in the world – they’re up against it. I'm working on a programme for children with the BBC. We're counting on our children so we must give them the right knowledge and support." The new Eau De Parfum Intense is the fourth Mon Guerlain fragrance. "I like them all differently," she said when asked how this scent compares to the others. "I just had them all out in the hotel room and I tried to pick a favourite, but I couldn’t. It’s an embarrassment of riches to have these different versions; you don’t know which to wear for day or at night. The new one does seem stronger, though."
