She has reprised her anti-heroine role in the Maleficent sequel Mistress Of Evil.Yet Angelina Jolie was worlds away from her famed evil character on Thursday as she put on an incredible display while touching down at the Japan premiere of the movie, held at the at Roppongi Hills Arena. The stunning actress, 44, looked incredible in the fringed Ralph & Russo Couture gown as she strutted down the red carpet with her daughter Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 14, and son Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, 18.Angelina looked incredible in the silver dress which stood out boldly against the green backdrop, which was erected in a nod to her character. The dazzling gown boasted tiers of frills which hung off her figure perfectly while the delicate neckline helped highlight her svelte limbs. She allowed her brunette locks to fall in cascading lengths down her back while she slicked her famously plump pout with a taupe lipstick. Proving to have inherited their mum's sense of style, Zahara and Maddox looked trendy in all-black while supporting their family matriarch.Disney beginners may not recall that Maleficent is the evil fairy in the classic 1959 animation Sleeping Beauty, and that Angelina played her in a 2014 live-action film.Just five years on, Jolie is playing her again in Mistress Of Evil, still wearing black horns, fighting fairies and sorting out her conflicted maternal feelings towards sweet Princess Aurora (Fanning). This time she has competition from the neighbouring Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) who causes a rift between our anti-heroine and Aurora, when her son Prince Phillip returns to the kingdom and proposes to the Princess.Unbeknown to Aurora, Ingrith is plotting to use their marriage to divide humans and fairies forever, and it is up to Maleficent to try and stop the impending war.
Chiwetel Ejiofor joins the cast as the leader of an army of fairies just like Maleficent, while Harris will replace Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip. The original 2014 film grossed a whopping $758million worldwide, and brought another success addition to Disney's series of dark fairy tales. The premiere comes after a source told UsWeekly last week that the actress felt 'pressured' into marrying her estranged husband Brad Pitt. 'She felt that Brad pressured her,' said the source.Their wedding was small and intimate with only their six kids in attendance, though the photos were shared with the world through People.Their split in 2016 was not amicable with the FBI involved over an alleged physical fight on a private jet. They resolved their custody issues this year. The Oscar-winning actress has been married a total of three times: To Jonny Lee Miller (1996 until 1999), Billy Bob Thornton (2000 until 2003), then Pitt (2014 to 2016).Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil will be released on October 18.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were getting along just fine after meeting on the set of the 2005 film Mr And Mrs Smith. They lived in his large compound in Los Feliz, California with their six kids while their careers thrived. But then the two became engaged in 2012 and decided to make their romance official when they wed in 2014 at their chateau in the south of France. But on Wednesday a source told UsWeekly that the Maleficent actress felt 'pressured' into saying 'I do.' And the pain of another divorce has caused the LA native to vow to never wed again.'She felt that Brad pressured her,' said the source. Their wedding was small and intimate with only their six kids in attendance, though the photos were shared with the world through People.Their split in 2016 was not amicable with the FBI involved over an alleged physical fight on a private jet. They resolved their custody issues this year. The Oscar-winning actress has been married a total of three times: To Jonny Lee Miller (1996 until 1999), Billy Bob Thornton (2000 until 2003), then Pitt (2014 to 2016).She and Brad have raised Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.Though the Vogue cover girl is only 44-years-old, she does not want to ever marry again, added the source.Meanwhile, Brad has been linked to jewelry designer and spiritual healer Sat Hari Khalsa, 50.This claim comes after Pitt admitted that he had to do a lot of soul searching while preparing for his latest role as an astronaut in Ad Astra. The 55-year-old actor sat down with NPR to discuss his character and how his divorce from Jolie impacted his ability to process the emotional movie. When asked if his divorce had any effect on creating his character for the James Gray-directed flick, he disclosed that he would be remiss to not dive deep into his previous relationship.'I would be exploring it whether there was a script that allowed that or not,' the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star said. 'A breakup of a family is certainly an eye-opener that as one — and I'm speaking in general again — but as one needs to understand, I had to understand my own culpability in that, and what can I do better,' he said. 'Because I don't want to go on like this.' He admitted to The New York Times that he gave up drinking and joined Alcoholics Anonymous following the end of his marriage.'I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,' he said.

While walking the red carpet of her new film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Angelina Jolie revealed why she wore her iconic Versace dress to the Oscars in 2012.The 44 year old actress spoke to Extra, when she revealed that she was also wearing a black Versace dress to the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil premiere on Monday night. When Extra's Renee Bargh said she was looking for a slit, to see if she was mirroring that iconic dress, she explained why she wore that dress with the slit.'There’s a whole longer story behind that — I had a more complicated dress and I wore the more comfortable dress, which was that one,' Jolie said. She added that she, 'was just so comfortable that... I think when you feel comfortable, when you feel yourself — which is very much the theme of the film, and we know this in life — you embrace it.' 'And sometimes, maybe it appears to be a thing, I don’t know,' Jolie added of the dress. She added that the black Versace dress she wore to Monday night's premiere had, 'some panels that are see-through, so we have a secret slit, actually.'Jolie arrived to the premiere with five of her six children, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.Her oldest, Maddox, 18, is currently in college in South Korea, though Jolie added he's flying to meet her in Japan. He is flying to meet me in Japan, so I am two days away from my hug. He's great, he's solid, he's fine, but I need it,' Jolie added. The actress recently said that she has recently 'discovered herself,' and when asked what she felt she re-discovered, she said she goes through stages with her kids. 'When your kids are a certain age, you go through stages, and you want to make sure they're safe and you want to make sure they understand certain values... and then you get to a place where you've done a lot of that and you feel that they're good and you also want them to know joy, and it brings back a part of you that is fun and alive and silly,' Jolie said. She added that she has it, 'in waves when they're little,' but added that, 'when they’re older, they want to know you because they need to get through life and all the hardships in life, and they need how to weather those punches.' 'And so you don’t just teach them how to survive it, you teach them how to thrive and manage it, so that takes a different level of spirit,' she concluded.Jolie's new film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which she co-stars in with Michelle Pfeiffer and Elle Fanning, hits theaters October 18.

She may have been celebrating her latest portrayal of Cinderella's iconic Disney baddie, but Angelina Jolie's greatest role is as a doting mother. The 44-year-old actress looked every bit the proud mother as she was joined by nearly all of her children at the Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil premiere in Los Angeles on Monday night. Her eldest son Maddox, 18, was the only one not in attendance as she recently sent him off to college in South Korea. The premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood was still a family affair as Jolie was flanked by five of her children. She was joined by Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, whom she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt.At the premiere, Angelina revealed she's had times where she has felt not 'free' and not "safe" over the past four years. The screen star went through a divorce and custody battle with ex Brad, which was finalised this year, and has admitted that she had kept those thoughts of not feeling 'free of harm' and 'cornered hidden' from the public. Speaking about her character Maleficent, she told Daily Pop on E!: 'I think Maleficent is wild, I think there is that thing in all of us that is just not safe and not fine, that wants to just have fun and be our best self."And speaking about herself, she added: 'There have been times in my life where I have felt - and maybe I've hidden them well from the public - where I have not felt free, I have not felt safe, I have not felt like free of harm. I have felt small. I have felt cornered.'And it has taken a lot to find that again, probably more of that today than I was in the last four years.' Elsewhere at the event, Angelina's co-star Michelle Pfeiffer admitted she always fears getting fired from movie roles because she never had 'formal training'. The actress suffers from imposter syndrome as she never studied acting and would perform 'purely' on her 'instincts' and she confessed that she never felt like she was 'really enough' for the parts she has landed over the past four decades, but in hindsight she feels she has been overcritical of her abilities. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she explained: 'I think it comes from not having a background of formal training, you know, in the beginning. 'And I think when I started out, a lot of actors were coming out of Juilliard and I was just this young person from Orange County, kind of just getting by on my instincts purely.'I think, for the longest time, I felt like it wasn’t really enough and maybe didn’t give me the credibility and maybe because I had to find my technique as I went along.'
She also admitted her lack of confidence came from knowing that she 'didn’t sort of start from a real secure place'.About a month ago, Jolie revealed she had to be consoled by her oldest son Maddox, 18, when she dropped him off at college in South Korea.'I just sent one off. I'm so proud of him,' Jolie gushed during an interview with her Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil co-stars, Pfeiffer and Fanning for ET on Sunday.'I'm so excited, I feel like my world expands as their world expands. I learn so much from them and I love this stage.' Visibly excited about the notion of learning more about herself and her children, the Oscar-winning actress did admit the experience will likely be different for her because her kids are at varying stages and age in their lives. 'It does make it easier,' she said of the age gap. 'I'm excited but maybe it's also different. It's going to be different for different kids. Maddox was so ready and his choices were so detailed.' Jolie looked ravishing on the red carpet in a shimmering black one-shoulder floor-length gown. The skintight dress featured a flowy piece of fabric draped from the shoulder to the waist and down the skirt. It was clasped at the waist with a silver jeweled scorpion broach, a glam nod to her wicked leading character. The dress also featured a subtle leg slit, revealing a glimpse at her classic black stilettos. Elle Fanning embodied her character as well in a gorgeous green gown, fit for a princess. The sage dress featured jeweled spaghetti straps and long billowy off-the-shoulder sleeves with loose ruffles at the end.The bodice was pleated, featuring pastel floral accents, which also ran down the sleeves with hanging plum ribbons. She completed the look with a pair of sheer white gloves, embellished with sparkling red drops on the right hand and down the skirt, a nod to her character. Michelle put on a stunning display in a floor-length square halterneck burnt orange gown.
