Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt 17 months ago in September 2016.Negotiations over money and custody must be exhausting for the Oscar-winning actress, especially now that the two have reportedly filed for an extension. On Tuesday the 42-year-old beauty looked down as she descended the stairs of a building in Los Angeles.Angelina split from Brad in September 2016 after a fight aboard a flight on a private plane when out of the country. It seemed like the divorce may wrap up soon as they were only married for two years. But the proceedings drag on.It has been claimed by multiple outlets that the two have been in therapy together and with the children.Together they have Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, nine.Last week, Jolie and Pitt have received court approval to extend their ongoing private divorce negotiations. The actress and the Troy star, 54, recently filed court documents seeking to prolong the 'temporary judge' in their divorce case, according to an article on Wednesday by The Blast. The former couple have been in private talks as they continue to discuss custody and distribution of assets. On Tuesday, Jolie looked chic in her outfit as she took meetings. The Salt star had on high-waisted slacks and her hands were in the pockets. She added stiletto heels, a spaghetti strap top, knee-length coat and oversized designer shades.A designer purse hung from her shoulder.
Last week she told Elle magazine what advice she gives her daughters Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne.'I tell my daughters, "What sets you apart is what you are willing to do for others. Anyone can put on a dress and makeup. It’s your mind that will define you,"' she said. The By The Sea director added that she also told her children, 'Find out who you are, what you think, and what you stand for. 'And fight for others to have those same freedoms. A life of service is worth living.' Angelina's life changed in 2001 when she visited Cambodia for Tomb Raider. Soon after she started working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).In 2012 she co-founded the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative. For Elle, the Salt actress sat down with former Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss her continuing campaign against the use of rape and sexual violence as weapons of war.She first met Kerry in April 2013, when he was Secretary of State and she was urging world leaders to commit to action to end impunity for sexual violence against women and girls and men and boys in conflict zones. She also said she is hopeful that men and women working together can achieve positive change for women’s rights globally.'I think of how hard women fought to get us to where we are today,' said the First They Killed My Father director.'Everything counts, from the way you hold yourself in daily life and educate yourself on your own rights, to solidarity with other women around the world.'
She continues her campaign against sexual violence in conflict because there is so much left to do.'When it comes down to it, we still treat violence against women as a lesser crime,' added the LA native. 'In some countries, sexual violence is less of a taboo discussion. It’s something more people expect their leaders to act on. 'Over 150 countries have signed a commitment to end impunity for war-zone rape. 'There are new teams in place to gather evidence and support prosecutions.'I was in Kenya last summer as UN peacekeeping troops received new training, since peacekeepers have been part of the problem. We’re working with NATO on training, protection, and getting more women in the military. But there is so far to go.'Angelina was on the cover of Elle in honor of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8. The issue, which is the first official issue under ELLE new editor in chief Nina Garcia, will be on newsstands nationwide February 20.

Though curling may not historically be the buzziest event in the Winter Olympics, one Russian athlete is bringing a whole lot of spotlight to the sport.Making her Olympic debut in mixed doubles curling on Feb. 8, Anastasia Bryzgalova has had the Internet buzzing over her looks, despite taking a rare tumble during one of her latest curling matches. Ever since stepping out onto the ice in Gangneung, South Korea, the 25-year-old athlete has been drawing comparisons to Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox due to her dark hair, light eyes and movie-star looks.“The Russian curling mixed doubles team is led by Anastasia Bryzgalova, who looks like Angelina Jolie at 21 if she ever picked up a broom,” one admirer gushed.“Unable to win at #curling by #doping, #Russia has decided to distract the opposition by sending #supermodels,” another quipped.“Watching the curling with Russia’s Anastasia Bryzgalova. I’ve no idea whats going on, but hey,” another user chimed in.According to her Olympic profile, Bryzgalova holds a master's degree in Physical Education, Sport, and got involved with curling in 2009 following an invitation to join a curling club at an ice sports complex.Admirers shouldn't get their hopes up too quickly, however, as Bryzgalova tied the knot with her curling partner Alexander Krushelnitskiy in June 2017, according to her Instagram.Competing for the bronze medal on Feb. 13, the couple defeated Norway 8-4 to take the prize, even though Bryzgalova took a staggering tumble on the ice.“It is very rare for a curler to fall in professional curling, and the spill drew gasps from the stunned crowd,” ESPN reports, but that didn’t stop a “tearful” Bryzgalova from later celebrating their victory. The outlet notes that the pair’s victory marks the first Olympic medal for mixed doubles curling for Russia, as the game — a quicker spin on typical single-gender curling — makes its Olympic debut at Pyeongchang.
