Brad Pitt Demanded Angelina Jolie Let Him Take Kids On Vacation?

Brad Pitt demanded Angelina Jolie let him take their kids on vacation? That’s the latest rumor going around about the estranged spouses. Gossip Cop looked into the claim and can bust what seems to be a made-up story.According to the National Enquirer, “manipulative” Jolie is the reason Pitt hasn’t been seen in public with their six children since their separation more than a year ago. “But at his mom Jane’s urging, Brad demanded Angie grant him a vacation getaway with their brood, and she caved,” contends the supermarket tabloid. A so-called “insider” alleges that previously, “Angie has insisted Brad only spend time with the kids behind closed doors, and usually with two nannies present.” The gossip magazine claims Jolie “set up the arrangement to prevent Brad from garnering any more sympathy by appearing with his kids” in public. Asserts the supposed tipster, “The last thing Angie wants is for Brad to be seen as a doting single dad.” But when Pitt spent time with his family over the holidays, the outlet alleges his mom was “appalled at the arrangement he’d accepted from Angie” and “ordered Brad to confront his ex.” “Jane told him this was an unfair arrangement. Angie has paraded [the kids] around at premieres and film festivals. It dawned on Brad that he was being a coward,” claims the purported snitch. The “maternal pep talk” supposedly led to a “heart to heart with Angie,” where he “wanted to make her see his side of things.” It’s specifically alleged Pitt “asked to take all six kids away on a trip over spring break” and “miraculously, Angie agreed as long as a bodyguard went along.” Tellingly, though, the publication never says just when this vacation is allegedly taking place or where. Perhaps that’s because such a trip isn’t actually in the works. No one with whom Gossip Cop spoke could confirm there are any such plans at this time, though anything could happen in the future. There’s also a few noticeable flaws with this story, starting with the contention that Pitt’s mother has been urging him to fight Jolie on custody. That claim originally started in the Australian tabloid NW and Gossip Cop busted it last week since it had no merit.
Now another Aussie tabloid, New Idea, has wrongly picked up these latest claims about Pitt demanding more time with his family. But while the National Enquirer is making it seem like Pitt hasn’t stepped out with his children because Jolie has prohibited it, the magazine never considers that he simply doesn’t want to put the kids in the spotlight. If they were to go to a public place, they’d be subjected to media scrutiny, and his camp has indicated that he prefers to keep his life with daughters and sons as private as possible.Furthermore, it is not unilaterally up to the actress to decide under what circumstances Pitt sees the children, be it at home or on vacation. The former couple has been working with attorneys and child care specialists to determine suitable arrangement for the Jolie-Pitt kids’ visits with their dad. It is not solely her decision, and permanent custody negotiations are still ongoing.Lastly, Gossip Cop must remind readers that this is the same publication that egregiously made-up a story in 2016 about Pitt beating his wife and children, even going as far as photoshopping bruises onto Jolie’s face. The headline on this newest article? “Brad Beats Angie!” But he never physically beat her before and he is not figuratively beating her in a custody battle now. This all appears to be fabricated.

Angelina Jolie had a packed day in the city of lights on Tuesday. The director and activist, 42, visited the French capital to film a commercial on the Champs-Elysées for perfume house Guerlain and took the time to squeeze in sightseeing with her six kids at the famous Louvre museum. Jolie has been a spokesmodel for the brand since 2016.Jolie also met with the French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron during a visit to the presidential Elysées Palace, in the afternoon. A source tells PEOPLE Jolie and the first lady met for an hour and discussed several topics Jolie is actively involved in, including “education, violence against women and [Jolie]’s activities as UNHCR Special Envoy and her visit to Jordan.” The two were snapped saying goodbye by the first lady’s chief of staff Tristan Bromet on his Instagram.Jolie’s trip also including an outing to the Louvre with all six kids in tow earlier in the day. Jolie and the kids — Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — toured the museum for two hours before heading back to their hotel. The outing comes days after Jolie visited a refugee camp in Jordan on Sunday. The actress was joined by Zahara and Shiloh during a UNHCR trip to the Zataari refugee camp in the city. There, they met with Syrians who fled the violence of the ongoing civil war in the country, including girls around Jolie’s daughters’ ages who were part of the TIGER (These Inspiring Girls Enjoy Reading) project, which focuses on education and empowerment.Jolie spoke to the refugees about how they inspired her and gave her hope.“After seven years of war, most Syrian refugees have exhausted any savings they had. The vast majority of them already live below the poverty line, on less than three dollars a day. Imagine what that would mean for your family,” she said in a speech. “Here, it means families going without sufficient food; children unable to get medical treatment; young girls vulnerable to early marriage; and many Syrians facing their seventh winter without proper shelter.”

Dakota Johnson instantly became the subject of a viral meme after she appeared to glance over at Angelina Jolie during Jennifer Aniston’s speech at the 2018 Golden Globes earlier this month — but the Fifty Shades Darker actress insists she wasn’t being shady.“Truthfully, I don’t think that I was really looking at her,” Johnson, 28, said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 29. “If you look really closely at the angle of my eyes, they’re kind of, like, over here … [looking at] the Stranger Things table. And I really love Stranger Things.” “The thing that I hate the most is when people are in restaurants or whatever, when they try to take a sneaky picture of you. … So, I did that at the Golden Globes,” Johnson said with a laugh. “Everybody there is a famous person. I was, like, trying to take a video of these kids — but they’re children, I know! I was, like, zooming in and zooming in, but then I also accidentally caught … Ridley Scott was asleep. I think maybe he was just looking at his phone, but it looked like he was asleep.”In Johnson’s defense, she wasn’t the only person who initially appeared to stare at Jolie, 42, as Aniston, 48, took the stage with Carol Burnett to present the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series — Musical or Comedy. The 21 Jump Street actress pointed out, “I’m not the only one. [Armie Hammer’s wife] Elizabeth [Chambers] is, like, very blatantly looking at her.” Aniston was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005. Their relationship crumbled after he met Jolie on the set of the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Rumors swirled at the time that Pitt, now 54, and the Tomb Raider actress began dating while he was still married to the Friends alum. The actor and Jolie — who share kids Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9 — wed in 2014. She filed for divorce in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
