The Eternals co-stars celebrated Hayek's 55th birthday together.Looks like Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek are the newest Hollywood friendship.The Frida actor shared a video of herself celebrating her 55th birthday last Wednesday, which showed the Maleficent actor attending the gathering among Hayek's family and friends. In the clip, Jolie is hesitant as Hayek shows her how to perform the Mexican tradition "mordida," when the celebrator's face is pushed into their own birthday cake for their first bite.Jolie wears a black suit with a lace camisole in the clip, while Hayek is dressed in a metallic jumpsuit and black ankle boots. Eventually Jolie pushes her Eternals co-star's face into the cake, as the other attendees chant "Mordida!" The Hitman's Bodyguard actor marked her 55th birthday with a post of herself standing on a tropical beach in a blue halter-neck one-piece swimsuit. "Happy 55th birthday to me looking forward to new adventures #grateful," she wrote in the caption.Jolie and Hayek appear to have become close friends while filming director Chloe Zhao's upcoming MCU film, Eternals. The final full-length trailer for the Marvel Entertainment movie The Eternals dropped on Thursday. After the defeat of Thanos, the Eternals have to take on the strange-looking Deviants but it will take all their power to defeat their enemy.Angelina Jolie as Thena stands out in a white dress as she prepares for war while sharing, 'We have loved these people since the day we arrived. When you love something you protect it.' Gemma Chan’s Sersi, Richard Madden's Ikaris and Salma Hayek's Ajak are also heavily featured. Directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao, the long-awaited Eternals will hit theaters November 5, bringing some of Marvel comics' strangest characters to the big screen. The trailer begins with Hayek riding a horse in an open field. She arrives at an old farm house, which is their safe house.'Five years ago Thanos erased half the population of the universe,' says Hayek to Madden. 'The people of this planet brought everything back with the snap of a finger. A sudden return of the population provided the necessary energy...' Salma tells Madden they have only seven days to fix it all.'We're Eternals, we came here 7,000 years ago to protect humans from the Deviants,' says Gemma Chan.She is asked why they did not fight Thanos, and Chan said she was told to not interfere. True to form, Jolie underwent urine and blood tests, which she passed. The film execs also hired people to look after her physical and mental health too, and it was well worth it because "Tomb Raider" was a massive success and Jolie became a worldwide star.

Angelina Jolie’s Lara Croft: Tomb Raider reigned as the highest-grossing video game adaptation ever made for close to a decade after releasing in the summer of 2001, with its box office haul of $274 million remaining the genre’s benchmark for nine years until it was surpassed by Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.The sequel didn’t fare quite as well, though, with earnings dropping by over $100 million when The Cradle of Life arrived just two years later, but it was inevitable that we’d see the console favorite undergo a reboot eventually. Taking the ‘if it ain’t broke’ approach, 2018’s Tomb Raider hired an Academy Award winning actress to play the lead role, with Alicia Vikander proving herself to be a capable action heroine, delivering a perfectly functional if hardly memorable blockbuster that made exactly the same amount of money in theaters as the original, give or take a few hundred thousand dollars.A sequel is now working its way through development as we speak, with Lovecraft Country creator Misha Green replacing Ben Wheatley as director and confirming earlier this month that the first draft of the script has been completed under the working title of Tomb Raider: Obsidian. That’s the extent of the official information we have, but insider Daniel Richtman claims that the studio wants Jolie to play a role in the second installment.Unfortunately, that’s all he has to share on the matter, and these sorts of legacy cameos can often be jarring and detract from the story being told while inviting comparisons to what came before, especially when you’re talking about someone as recognizable as Angelina Jolie. The star has also scaled back her workload significantly over the last few years, but nothing can be definitively ruled in or out until Tomb Raider 2 edges closer to getting in front of cameras.
