Definitely not a name you hear everyday — that is, if you live under a rock.In celebration of the Jeep brand’s 75th anniversary, Ciara confessed that she named her first Jeep after one of her biggest girl crushes from the silver screen, Miss Angelina Jolie.“When it came time for me to go to the dealership, I got my two-door, Jeep Wrangler, all black, I called it the Jolie,” says Ciara. “It was so bad, fierce, fly, sexy, cool, edgy, everything all-in-one!” The artist explains in the #MyJeepStory below that her love for the Jeep brand came as a result of inspiration from her father, who was involved in Operation Desert Storm. My love for the Jeep brand started in my early days, when I would listen to my father’s military stories, and remained prevalent to the days when I drove my Jeep Wrangler to the studio at the start of my dream career as a musical artist.”

Angelina Jolie is better than her Arab counterparts according to infamous Jordanian cartoonist

Jordanian cartoonist Emad Hajjaj, famous for his spot-on satirical political and social cartoons, criticised Arab artists in a new doodle this week. The cartoon was inspired by Hollywood starlet and humanitarian Angelina Jolie's visit to Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Turkey, which marked the fifth anniversary of the tragic Syrian War.Hajjaj's drawing compared a what he portrayed as a "humble" Angelina and her efforts for a better world, to a "shallow, fame-crazed" Arab singer. However, the infamous cartoonist's caricature, titled "Angelina Jolie," wasn't quite accurate. The caption above the award-winning actress's drawing reads, "Angelina Jolie lives through refugees' suffering." The second caption reads, "Meanwhile, an Arab singer lives in a crazy people's world."t's easy to criticise Arab celebrities for their lack of involvement in international human rights issues, but it doesn't make it fair for Hajjaj to make such a comparison. While the brilliance of Jolie's humanitarian work cannot be disputed, let's not forget that she is an international figure with an overflow of high-profile contacts and access to resources that have allowed her to carry out this type of work for many years now. Hajjaj, don't overlook your local talents' charitable gestures while turning a blind eye to the dozens of Western celebs whose only concern is cash in on their fame.If you're happy to sing Jolie's praises, don't ignore the Arab artists who are doing their fair share as UN Goodwill Ambassadors, such as Lebanese starlet Nancy Ajram, Palestinian superstar Mohammed Assaf, Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and Tunisian actress Hend Sabry.
