Cara Delevingne Is Team Angelina Jolie: ‘I Admire Anyone Who Transforms Their Pain Into Power’

#GirlCrush alert! Cara Delevingne declared herself Team Angelina Jolie with a tribute post to the Maleficent actress via Instagram on Tuesday, October 11.“My admiration for Angelina Jolie is endless, I also admire anyone who transforms their pain into power,” the 24-year-old captioned a stunning shot of Jolie, 41, as part of the U.N.’s Girl Up campaign. “I admire unruly activists. I admire her continued involvement with the UN as a goodwill ambassador.”“She is ruthless, determined and unforgiving in her efforts to make a difference for Refugee’s,” she continued. “She also inspire me to follow my dreams into acting and have higher goals of one day becoming a director. I have chosen her as my #GirlHero today!”Earlier in the day, Delevingne posted a throwback snapshot of feminist Gloria Steinem, similarly praising the political icon for her “perseverance” and “her fight for gender & race equality.”The Suicide Squad actress’ praise comes amid Jolie’s headline-making split from her husband of two years and partner of 12, Brad Pitt. As previously reported, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday, September 19, citing irreconcilable differences. In the days that followed, reports surfaced of marital strife, and that the Oscar-winning actor had allegedly become physical with one of their kids aboard a private jet. (A Pitt insider told Us that “the abuse allegations are inaccurate.”)Pitt, 52, and Jolie reached a temporary parenting plan on Thursday, September 22, for their six children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — in which the pair share legal custody but Jolie has temporary physical custody.“[It’s] a logistical thing,” a source told Us of why the children are living with their mom. “They have six kids and want things to be as uninterrupted as possible. It didn’t make sense, all of a sudden, for the kids to have two different households. You don’t just immediately create a new world for those children.” The parenting plan will be put in place until October 20, when the Department of Children and Family Services will determine whether the conditions stay in place, and whether it will continue to investigate Pitt for alleged child abuse.
