Angelina Jolie: ‘Refugee Situation in Greece is Deteriorating’

Hollywood actress, celebrity, humanitarian, and UNHCR ambassador; Angelina Jolie was in Greece a few days ago to examine the refugee crisis first-hand.On her visit she went to several refugee camps overwhelmed with migrants and refugees fleeing conflict and desperately seeking to find a new home – potentially in other European countries. The FYROM has made a firm decision in closing its border, while Greece wrestles with how to manage several thousand migrants and Turkey hosts over 2 million migrants.PM Alexis Tsipras confirmed in a conversation with Jolie that at least 30,000 migrants are trapped on the Greek mainland due to the unilateral actions of Balkan countries.Jolie said the refugees were stuck in a “deteriorating humanitarian situation” and needed help. She spend about 30 minutes at the Port of Piraeus and also visited a camp in Eleonas.There have been conflicting reports on whether the action of the European Union to broker a deal with Turkey to assist Greece in this refugee crisis has been beneficial, as well as if it is at all “humane” for Balkan countries, such as the FYROM, to firmly commit to not permitting additional entry of refugees or migrants. Many migrants have sought to go to the FYROM through the Greek border of Indomeni but have been sent back.

Angelina Jolie And Charlize Theron Feuding?

Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are NOT feuding, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this rumor. We’re told it’s “not true.” According to OK!, Jolie and Theron see each other as a threat and have been engaged in a “Hollywood turf war” for years. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Charlize wants to be the most powerful leading lady, and Angie, who’s been focused on directing, is threatened.” The magazine’s questionable insider adds, “They complain about each other to the same groups of people. It’s so uncomfortable.” The tabloid goes on to claim that both actresses briefly became cordial during the time Theron was dating Sean Penn, who’s friends with Brad Pitt. Of course, Theron and Penn split last year. Now, says the magazine’s supposed “source,” “Angie thinks Charlize ripped out Sean’s heart, and she’s disgusted with her. Don’t expect to see them sharing the screen, ever.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us there’s absolutely no feud going on between Jolie and Theron, and the tabloid’s story is simply “not true.” Unfortunately, we have spent an inordinate amount of time correcting OK! for its many fabricated reports about both actresses, and we even previously called out the magazine’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for falsely pitting the two women against each other. This latest tale is just another bogus attempt to create a feud, where none exists, between two A-list female stars.

Katie Holmes Makes Her Directorial Debut, Was "Inspired by Angelina Jolie"

Katie Holmes already is an actress and mother, but last night she debuted a distinctively different hat. For the All We Had world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, Holmes unveiled her first movie where she directs.In fact, Holmes was both onscreen and behind the cameras. A feat that impressed co-star Mark Consuelos. "She’s the lead in the film so she would film a scene, run around the camera, watch it, have to give notes, and run back," he told InStyle. "And then have to ask and answer questions from 10-15 people about what’s going on and maintain that control... [I was] super, super impressed. I didn’t know quite what to expect but I was really, really pleased. She’s wonderful to work with."As for Holmes, her move to directing was something she's been musing about. For this film, the plot seemed personal and a right fit. "I read the book by Annie Weatherwax and I optioned the rights," Holmes told InStyle. "I was inspired by the mother-daughter story. I’m one of five, I have great parents, I have wonderful sisters and a brother and it just felt like the characters were authentic and people that I understood." She now joins a prestigious growing legion of actresses turned directors. Particularly, Holmes says: "I’ve been inspired by Angelina Jolie, Jodie Foster, Sarah Polley, and so many actresses."

Angelina Jolie Demands Brad Pitt Take DNA Test To Prove He’s Not The Father Of Melissa Etheridge’s Kids

Singer Melissa Etheridge recently said Brad Pitt was almost — but not — the sperm donor for her two children, but it was enough to make Angelina Jolie suspicious. The Oscar winner reportedly demanded that Pitt take a DNA test to prove he did not father the children. However, this tale comes from the National Enquirer, which claimed last week that Pitt threatened to divorce “dying” Jolie if she didn’t get help for a rumored eating disorder.Not surprisingly, Gossip Cop debunked the rumor about Etheridge’s children the same day National Enquirer published it. The website famously discredits erroneous stories, and Wednesday’s stories were just the latest examples. “Gossip Cop has repeatedly busted the Enquirer for its many false claims about Pitt and Jolie, including a recent made-up tale that the actor was threatening to divorce his wife because she’s allegedly ‘dying,” the site wrote. “[Enquirer’s] latest claim involving Etheridge and a paternity test is equally wrong.”The National Enquirer wrote that it talked to a source who described Jolie as suspicious. “Angie wants closure on the issue, so she’s demanding Brad undergo a paternity test,” the source said. “But Brad says Angie is being paranoid.” If he doesn’t take a DNA test, she’ll supposedly “go straight to Melissa and demand answers.”

The rumor started with Etheridge told Australia’s Studio 10 talk show last week she considered Pitt to be a sperm donor for her children. “Well, actually, [Brad Pitt] was such a good friend of mine. And we did consider it,” she said. “And yet, I looked and I saw how badly he wanted children and I thought, ‘I don’t want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don’t need another parent — they have two.'” She later chose singer David Crosby to father her two kids, Bailey and Beckett. Etheridge and Pitt did not remain close. They apparently had a falling out after Etheridge said Jolie’s choice to undergo a double mastectomy was “the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer." The rock singer battled breast cancer in 2004. Jolie, who has the BRCA1 gene, wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in 2013 after she preemptively had her breasts removed.
