The exes do not currently co-parent amicably and have been battling in court over custody for several years. Angelina just returned back to the states after working in her capacity as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy in Burkina Faso for World Refugee Day. Highlighting how the number of displaced people in the world has doubled in the past year, she said in the West African nation: 'There is nowhere I would rather be today than here, with refugees, the people I admire most in the world.' More than 1.2million people in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa have been forced to flee their homes since 2019, according to the United Nations. Speaking in Burkina Faso's Goudoubo refugee camp, in the central city of Kaya, Ms Jolie added that she had 'never been as worried' about displaced people as she is now. 'We have to wake up to the track we are on globally, with so many conflicts raging and the very real possibility that climate change will force tens if not hundreds of millions of people to have to leave their homes in the future, with no possibility of return,' she warned. Jolie's personal life has been in headlines quite a bit recently as she has been spending time with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller at his apartment in New York during a recent visit. Angelina and Jonny were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of their movie Hackers a year prior, but separated shortly after and officially divorced in 1999.The actress and Pax were spotted heading into Miller's Brooklyn home last week for a visit. Angelina Jolie RETURNS to former husband Jonny Lee Miller's Brooklyn apartment to introduce him to her son Pax… amid custody battle with ex Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has been spending quite a bit of time at the home of her ex-husband Johnny Lee Miller, 48. The 46-year-old Oscar winner was pictured heading into Miller's Brooklyn apartment building for the second time this week and had her 17-year-old son Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt in tow, on Tuesday.Over the weekend, Angelina, who just celebrated a birthday, got together with Johnny for an intimate reunion over dinner and drinks.Jolie looked every bit the movie star as she arrived to Miller's apartment building in a long lantern sleeved black silk maxi dress. Her brunette tresses were down and sleek in a fresh blowout and, despite mask mandates being lifted, the building still required them so the actress kept her face covered.By her side was son Pax who kept it casual and trendy in a pale pink T-shirt under a pink flannel top with charcoal jeans and trainers. Pax also sported a baseball hat and a face mask. The mother-son-duo were escorted by their security guard and reportedly spent about an hour inside the Dumbo-neighborhood building where Johnny Lee Miller lives. Jolie shares Pax with her other ex-husband Brad Pitt - along with their five other children, Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivian. Brad and Angelina are embroiled in a messy, years-long custody battle over their brood.  However, things are much more copasetic between Jolie and her other former husband - Johnny Lee Miller - as the pair have been spending one-on-one time together. On Friday, the actress was spotted leaving her ex's apartment following an intimate dinner and night cap.  The two were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of their movie Hackers a year prior, but separated shortly after and officially divorced in 1999.Jolie was seen arriving to the apartment alone and without security on Friday evening with an expensive bottle of Peter Michael wine with her and a Louis Vuitton bag.The Girl Interrupted star spent about three hours inside - where the pair reportedly enjoyed dinner - and was then spotted exiting the premise at 10:30PM.  Though Angelina is based in Los Angeles, she was said to be in NYC for a belated birthday trip where she was joined by all six of her children.  They first met on the set of Hackers in 1995 and swiftly fell in love. At the time of their 1996 nuptials, Angelina was just 20-years-old and their wedding made headlines for its oddities. Instead of a wedding dress Jolie wore a pair of black rubber pants and a white T-shirt which had the Trainspotting actor's name written in her own blood.  She later said that the blood was supposed to represent a willingness to sacrifice for their love and shared that she drew the blood herself with a surgical needle.  The pair separated in 1997 after their busy schedules caused them to be apart from each other. The divorce was official in 1999 but they still remained friends. She had expressed regret about not being able to make it work. 'Jonny and I never fought and we never hurt each other. I really wanted to be his wife. I really wanted to commit,' she reportedly told the Calgary Sun in an interview. And she also shared at the time of their divorce that she thought they could get 'married again' in the future. The actor later went on to marry Law & Order star Michele Hicks, but they split after a decade together in 2018.  Angelina went on to marry Billy Bob Thornton in 2000 where both wore vials of each other's blood around their necks, but they divorced just two years later. In 2014 she finally married Brad Pitt after falling in love on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith in 2005. She filed for divorce in 2016 citing 'irreconcilable differences' and it was finalized in 2019. The former pair have been in a lengthy custody battle with Jolie wanting sole custody and Pitt fighting for joint. In late May, the court ruled that Brad and Angelina will have shared custody of all their children with the exception of Maddox, who is no longer a minor. According to reports from US Weekly, the actress feels she can 'never forgive' Brad and believes their legal battle is 'far from over'. A source told the publication: 'She will never forgive him... She maintains it's far from over and still believes that justice will prevail.' It was also claimed that the Maleficent star will give 'everything she's got' to appeal the decision in court. She is set to appeal the decision 'to  demonstrate clear, reversible, prejudicial legal error,' on behalf of the judge — who she tried to remove from the case entirely — and a hearing is set for July 9.

Angelina Jolie wears chic trench coat as she jets out of New York with her six kids after birthday trip... following legal war with ex Brad Pitt

All good things must come to an end.Angelina Jolie was seen departing from JFK Airport on Thursday with all six of her kids after a trip to New York City for her 46th birthday. The Maleficent star kept her look simple as she sported a long brown a Christian Dior trench coat over a black maxi dress and brown Salvatore Ferragamo leather sandals. She donned a black protective face mask as she held onto a large white and navy blue monogrammed tote from Celine and lugged along a large black Louis Vuitton rolling bag.Her signature raven-colored dresses were worn down and no doubt the family were taking an international trip as her right hand was full with passports and boarding passes.Angelina was joined by all her children including sons Maddox, Pax, 17, and Knox, 12, as well as daughters Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and Vivienne, 12.The star was in town with all six of her children to celebrate her 46th birthday. It was likely a welcome retreat for Jolie, who was left 'bitterly disappointed' last month when her ex husband Brad Pitt was awarded joint custody of their children following a long and very nasty legal battle. In late May, the court ruled that Brad and Angelina will have shared custody of all their children with the exception of Maddox, who is no longer a minor.According to reports from US Weekly on Tuesday, the actress feels she can 'never forgive' Brad and believes their legal battle is 'far from over'. A source told the publication: 'She will never forgive him... She maintains it's far from over and still believes that justice will prevail.' It was also claimed that the Maleficent star will give 'everything she's got' to appeal the decision in court.Brad's representatives declined to comment when approached by MailOnline last week and spokespeople for Angelina were also contacted for further comment.Sources believe Angelina will continue fighting the custody arrangement, as she reportedly thinks there were 'issues' with the way Judge John Ouderkirk handled their court proceedings. The source added: 'Joint custody is not the issue that Angelina objects to, there were other issues of concern, but the court proceedings are closed and sealed.' Angelina and her legal team claimed the judge wouldn't allow her children to testify in court. A filing made to California's Second District Court of Appeal read: 'Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children's health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case...' 'They have failed to adequately consider a section of the California courts code, which says it is detrimental to the best interest of the child if custody is awarded to a person with a history of domestic violence.' Angelina believes the court should be able to 'hear the minor teenagers' input as to their experiences, needs, or wishes as to their custody fate', but this has been refused. However, Brad's lawyers believe the proceedings have been conducted fairly.
