And as usual, the actress and director had a touch of class in the fashion department when she stepped out in a white summer dress, which she covered up in a brown raincoat by Everlane. The Oscar-winner rounded out her ensemble with a pair of brown open-toe heels and her dark brown tresses style long and flowing well past her shoulders and a part near the middle. Her 16-year-old daughter followed close behind carrying with a yellow bag.Zahara opted for a much more casual and sporty outfit in dark brown leggings with a black top and matching sneakers. In keeping with her go-to style throughout her young life, the teen had her raven tresses styled in long braids that she pulled back off her face and had flowing on her shoulders. Both mother and daughter decided to keep up with their safety first mentality and wore protective face masks over their mouths and noses amid the still dangerous COVID-19.Jolie has made a point of also spending one-on-one time while out shopping with Zahara's five brothers and sisters:  Maddox, 19,  Pax, 17, Shiloh, 15, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.            Angelina Jolie was seen out on Saturday bonding with her children while finding some new furniture pieces. The 46-year-old actress was joined by her son Pax, 17, and her daughter Zahara, 16, for a trip to West Hollywood to take care of some design work. Her family outing comes shortly after she took Pax to visit her friend The Weeknd during a recent trip to New York City.Angelina looked sleek on the outing in a simple black sweater and a matching set of black cropped jeans. She contrasted her dark ensemble with pale pink flats, and she wore a gray mask to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. The A-lister wore her brunette locks resting over her shoulders, and she had on a set of black sunglasses. She carried a sizable black leather handbag with a golden clasp, along with a stack of paperwork.Pax was dressed casually in a white T-shirt with khaki pants and white sneakers, plus a plaid baseball cap. After leaving the store, Angelina appeared to stop to take a call outside. Later in the evening, the two went out for some upscale sushi in West Hollywood with the actress' daughter Zahara. The 46-year-old actress cut a very sleek figure while heading into the restaurant, and the three were later seen keeping close to each other while leaving the establishment and driving off. Pax beat the night breeze with a red, white and blue plaid shirt, while Zahara appeared to match her mother in a black sweater and black pants. She had her hair styled in delicate braids that were tied back and low slung.Angelina's trip with two of her children comes shortly after she introduced Pax to her friend The Weeknd.According to a source for The Sun, the actress met up with the pop superstar when she went to New York in June with her family, and Pax got to come along to meet the singer (born Abel Tesfaye) in person.'Ange has been in contact with Abel for a while, he was in New York at the same time as her and the kids,' a source told the outlet.'They met up for lunch in private. She took Pax along because he's a big fan and they got along really well, he was obviously thrilled.' The source denied that there was any romantic connection between the Changeling star and the Can't Feel My Face singer, though they didn't rule out the possibility further down the road.'They are just friends, but who knows it could be more in the future, he's made no secret of the fact he has a huge crush on her.' After the previously unreported New York meetup, Angelina and The Weekend dined at the popular Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica earlier this week, where they reportedly spent hours together before leaving separately. It's still unclear how the two celebrities became friends, but the Weekend has previously referenced Angelina in his lyrics. The actress recently suffered a loss in her legal battle against her 57-year-old former husband Brad Pitt, who was awarded 50/50 custody of the couple's children.
Prior to becoming involved with the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star, the actress was married to her Hackers costar Jonny Lee Miller. The two solidified their union in 1996 and separated the following year, although they have since remained close friends.Following her split from her former castmate, Jolie began dating Billy Bob Thornton after they met on the set of the 1999 feature Pushing Tin.The pair went on to marry the following year and began the process of adopting Jolie's first child, Maddox, in 2002. The former couple split up before the legal details were finalized, however, and the actress chose to raise her now-18-year-old son as a single parent for the time being. In 2005, the actress became involved in a controversy surrounding her relationship with Pitt, whom she met on the set of the action-comedy feature Mr. And Mrs. Smith. At the time that the performers met, the actor was still married to his former wife, Jennifer Aniston, from whom he later separated. Many sources openly speculated if Jolie was the reason for the pair's breakup, although she strongly denied that the two had engaged in an affair. She did not make any public comments regarding her relationship with Pitt until 2006 when she confirmed that she was pregnant with his child, and she later gave birth to a daughter named Shiloh, currently aged 15, in May of that year.Prior to their biological child's arrival, the actress adopted Zahara, to whom the actor later became a father in 2006, and they welcomed Pax into their family the following year. The pair went on to add a pair of twins named Knox and Vivienne, both aged 12, to their family in 2008.The couple remained unmarried for several years before they tied the knot during a ceremony that was held at their chateau in France in 2014.However, the couple unexpectedly separated two years after they held their wedding ceremony and began a lengthy legal battle concerning the welfare of their children. The split was partially attributed to an alleged incident in 2016 when Pitt reportedly became inebriated and began a confrontation with Jolie and Maddox, although he was later cleared of any charges of abuse. The two reached a tentative agreement in 2018, where the actor received less than 50 percent custody. The former couple returned to court two years later, with Jolie alleging that the judge presiding over their case was in contact with her former husband's attorney, although the justice remained in place.Pitt eventually came out on top during the pair's most recent legal faceoff, where he was awarded 50/50 custody of the pair's kids during a court appearance in May.The decision was met with controversy as it was revealed that none of the couple's children under the age of 18 were allowed to testify during the case, and Jolie's legal team indicated that they would continue to fight the outcome in the future.

She is known for her closeness to her six children, three of whom she adopted. And on her recent trip to New York City, Angelina Jolie was spotted spending time with her daughter Shiloh, 15, and her son Pax, 17, while visiting visual artist Daniel Arsham's studios in the Queens borough. The 46-year-old actress was first seen strolling around before entering the space, and she was seen briefly removing her face mask prior to being escorted in to meet the designer.Jolie was outfitted in a flowing white dress that obscured much of her shapely frame while spending time with her kids. The Girl, Interrupted performer contrasted the light tone of her main article of clothing with a sizable dark gray cardigan sweater that featured partially rolled-up sleeve ends, as well as a pair of light beige shoes. The Academy Award-winning actress' beautiful brunette locks gently fell onto her shoulders and the nape of her neck and added an element of color to her neutral-toned outfit. She was seen wearing a light gray facial covering, which she later removed during part of her outing with her kids. Jolie began the process of adopting her eldest child Maddox, aged 18, in 2002 and was married to her second husband, Billy Bob Thornton, at the time.Prior to becoming involved with the Sling Blade actor, the performer was involved with her Hackers costar Jonny Lee Miller, and although the two divorced in 1999, they remain good friends.Although she and her second husband initially intended to raise Maddox together, they split up in 2003, and she decided to bring up the child on her own.She went on to adopt a daughter named Zahara, aged 16, in July of 2005 before beginning a relationship with her Mr. & Mrs. Smith costar Brad Pitt in October of that year. The two were the subject of much media attention due to the fact that the now-57-year-old actor had previously been married to Jennifer Aniston, with whom he broke up shortly before dating Jolie. In January of 2006, the actress announced that she was pregnant with the couple's child, and she eventually gave birth to Shiloh in May of that year. The following year, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star adopted Pax, aged 17, from Vietnam as a single parent, and Pitt legally became his father upon his arrival in the United States. The Fight Club star would go on to officially adopt all of Jolie's adopted children before they welcomed a set of twins named Knox and Vivienne, aged 12, in 2008.The pair went strong as a couple for several years and went on to announce their engagement in 2012 before they solidified their union two years later. They only enjoyed marital bliss for a short period of time, however, as they separated in September of 2016 when the Maleficent star filed for divorce. The actress cited an alleged incident when Pitt became drunk on a plane and began physically abusing his children, and although the actor was investigated by several agencies, he was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing. They engaged in a lengthy legal battle regarding their kids before a tentative custody deal was reached in 2018, which remained in place for two years. In October of last year, the couple went back to court, as the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor requested that a 50/50 arrangement regarding his parenting be reached.Although Jolie objected to the tentative plan, a judge ruled that Pitt was to receive partial custody of his biological and adopted children last month. The actress has spoken out regarding the outcome of the case, as her children under the age of 18 were not allowed to testify at the trial.

Angelina Jolie treated daughter Zahara to a shopping spree at an upscale boutique then bought bagels from a street vendor... before making the teen's health battle public

Angelina Jolie was spotted spending quality time with her daughter Zahara in New York City earlier this month. The mother-daughter duo was first seen shopping at designer Gabriela Hearst's store on Madison Avenue before leaving with a large bag of purchases and making a quick stop at a bagel cart. The 46-year-old actress' trip with her eldest daughter, 16, comes not long after she claimed that her child recently had surgery and was the focus of racial bias because of her skin color.Jolie was dressed in a stark white t-shirt that was tucked into a sizable and flowing gray skirt that obscured her sculpted legs. The Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star continued her neutral-toned ensemble with a pair of light beige high-heeled shoes that added an element of flat color to her outfit. Her beautiful brunette locks cascaded onto her shoulders, and she kept a purse with a chain-link strap over her left shoulder as well as a large bag of purchases on her right. The Academy Award-winning performer kept a light gray face mask on for the length of her outing to keep herself protected from COVID-19. Jolie shares Zahara with her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, from whom she filed for divorce in 2016.The performer recently spoke about how Zahara was the focus of racial bias from a medical practitioner while conducting an interview with Malone Mukwende for Time. During the sit-down, she noted that, as her kids come from different parts of the world, she understood that skin conditions would look different on each of them.'I have children from different backgrounds, and I know when there was a rash that everybody got, it looked drastically different depending on their skin color,' she noted. However, Jolie expressed that, when Zahara went in for a procedure, a medical practitioner did not take her skin color into account, which she took as an admission of innate racial bias. She recalled: 'Whenever I looked at medical charts, the reference point was always white skin. Recently my daughter Zahara, whom I adopted from Ethiopia, had surgery, and afterward a nurse told me to call them if her skin "turned pink."'Mukwende sympathized with the actress' daughter and noted: 'There's a language and a culture that exists in the medical profession...and because we are still doing it so many years later it doesn’t seem like it's a problem.' Jolie has been single since splitting from Pitt, but before she met him the star had an active love life. Prior to becoming involved with the Inglourious Basterds star Pitt, Jolie was married to her Hackers costar Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 until 1999, although they remained close friends after their separation - she was seen entering his apartment building last week with a bottle of wine.Following her split from her first husband, the actress dated around before tying the knot with her Pushing Tin castmate Billy Bob Thornton in 2000.The two went on to announce that they would be adopting a child whom they named Maddox, currently aged 19, from Cambodia before they split up and divorced in 2003. Jolie went on to become romantically linked to Pitt, 57, in 2005 after they costarred in the action-comedy flick Mr. & Mrs. Smith. The Golden Globe-winning actress subsequently adopted Zahara during a visit to Ethiopia in July of that year, and Pitt stepped in to formally adopt the now-16-year-old the following year. The couple eventually welcomed three biological children of their own during their time together, namely daughter Shiloh, aged 15, in 2006 and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged 12, in 2008.The pair also adopted a son named Pax, currently aged 17, in between the births of their own kids, in 2007. Jolie and Pitt separated in 2019, and the actor recently won a lengthy legal battle where he was awarded joint custody of the children. The actress notably objected to her former husband being able to take care of their kids, citing a 2016 incident where he allegedly abused one of his children on a private jet, of which he was eventually cleared.

Angelina Jolie opens up about struggling to find accurate medical advice for her children 'from different backgrounds' and reveals daughter Zahara, 16, recently had surgery

Angelina Jolie gave a rare glimpse into her life as the mother of six children in a new piece that she penned for Time Magazine in her capacity as a contributing editor. The 46-year-old interviewed medical student Malone Mukwende about his initiative to bridge the gap of medical knowledge when it comes to people of color as most medical books neglect to teach about ailments on black and brown skin.During her piece, Angelina sympathized with the issue, explaining that she struggled to find medical advice for her children 'of different backgrounds' when they all came down with the same rash. She also revealed that her daughter Zahara, 16, recently underwent surgery.'I have children from different backgrounds, and I know when there was a rash that everybody got, it looked drastically different depending on their skin color,' the activist said.Mukwende's handbook, Mind the Gap, addresses those types of issues by aggregating photos and information about various medical conditions on different, non-white skin tones.'Recently my daughter Zahara, whom I adopted from Ethiopia, had surgery, and afterward a nurse told me to call them if her skin "turned pink," Angelina said. 'That’s the kind of thing I started to notice very early on. Almost the entirety of medicine is taught in that way,' Mukwende responded. Adding: 'Like you’ve just illustrated, that’s a very problematic statement for some groups of the population because it’s just not going to happen in that way and if you’re unaware you probably won’t call the doctor.'The actress has three biological children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, Shiloh, 15 and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivian, as well as three adopted children 19-year-old  Maddox from Cambodia, 17-year-old Pax from Vietnam and 16-year-old Zahara from Ethopia. The Maleficent star, meanwhile, is back home with her family after doing some charitable work with the United Nations. Her first order of business when she was back in Los Angeles was heading out to grab a gourmet bite to eat with a few of her children at Baltaire in Brentwood. Jolie was seen Monday night heading into the hot spot with 17-year-old Pax and 16-year-old Zahara following her trip to Burkina Faso for World Refugee Day.  Angelina just returned to the states after working in her capacity as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy in Burkina Faso for World Refugee Day. Highlighting how the number of displaced people in the world has doubled in the past year, she said in the West African nation: 'There is nowhere I would rather be today than here, with refugees, the people I admire most in the world.' More than 1.2million people in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa have been forced to flee their homes since 2019, according to the United Nations. Speaking in Burkina Faso's Goudoubo refugee camp, in the central city of Kaya, Ms Jolie added that she had 'never been as worried' about displaced people as she is now. 'We have to wake up to the track we are on globally, with so many conflicts raging and the very real possibility that climate change will force tens if not hundreds of millions of people to have to leave their homes in the future, with no possibility of return,' she warned. Jolie's personal life has been in headlines quite a bit recently as she has been spending time with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller at his apartment in New York during a recent visit. Angelina and Jonny were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of their movie Hackers a year prior, but separated shortly after and officially divorced in 1999.The actress and Pax were spotted heading into Miller's Brooklyn home last week for a visit. And, a day prior Jolie spent hours with her former flame at home enjoying dinner and wine. The visits came after Angelina was reportedly left 'bitterly disappointed' after a court awarded joint custody to her ex Brad Pitt with the star allegedly set to appeal the decision with a hearing due for July 9.
