One of this week’s tabloids claims Angelina Jolie has been “quietly crushing” on David Beckham for years and recently began sending him secret texts. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the made-up story. We’re told it’s completely untrue.According to NW, the actress has been messaging the former soccer star about collaborating on a charity project together, but it’s really a scheme to get to know him better. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Ange and David came very close to working with each other several years ago for an ad campaign, and she’s never been able to get him out of her mind since. She’s always had a crush on him.” The outlet’s supposed source goes on to say Jolie “got his contact details from one of their mutual pals and is trying to set up a get-together.” A second ulterior motive for teaming up with Beckham, according to the tipster, is to repair her image amid her custody battle with Brad Pitt. “Everyone loves David. He’s very popular with the fans and she would look good standing next to him,” adds the suspicious source. “He can do no wrong, so hitching her wagon to him would be a smart PR move.” The seemingly nonexistent “insider” also maintains that Jolie “thinks they have lots in common – besides beauty and brains,” and hopes he’ll “teach some of his soccer moves” to her daughter Shiloh, “who’s a keen player.” From there, the outlet speculates that Beckham’s wife Victoria won’t be happy about the actress reaching out to her husband, “given Ange’s ‘man-eater’ reputation.” The “source” adds, “Victoria pouts and kicks up a stink whenever David is seen getting friendly with other women, so there’s little doubt she is telling him not to sign up for any projects with Angelina.” Despite what the magazine’s anonymous and untraceable “insider” claims, Gossip Cop checked in with Beckham’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the story is untrue. We’re assured that Jolie hasn’t reached out to the soccer star about teaming up on a charity project.Meanwhile, it’s been reported by several reputable outlets that Jolie “has no interest in dating” and is only focused on her six children. That remains especially true now that the actress’s custody battle is expected to go to trial. It certainly wouldn’t bode well for Jolie’s “image” or legal case if she were to try and steal a married man who shares four kids with his wife of nearly 20 years. The outlet’s premise is both flawed and absurd.It’s worth noting, NW is the same unreliable tabloid that Gossip Cop busted last month for falsely claiming that Jolie was dating Keanu Reeves. This latest phony article makes no mention of what happened to that supposed romance. And earlier this year, the outlet made up a story about Jolie “crushing on” Chris Hemsworth. It’s clear the tabloid just enjoys arbitrarily linking the actress to random famous men.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are trying to settle the custody of their six children out of court, Gossip Cop has learned. The estranged spouses are currently scheduled to go to trial on December 4, but we’re told both parties are working together to come to an agreement before the court date. A source close to Jolie also tells us she’s not fighting for sole custody, as some outlets have reported, and her “goal is that the kids have a relationship with their father.” On Monday, the exes filed court documents requesting to extend the appointment of Judge Ouderkirk as a temporary judge in their case through June 30, 2019. The retired judge, who’s handled all pre-trial issues between the exes, is expecting to oversee their case privately and not in a public courthouse. Gossip Cop, however, is told that the December 4 court date will only commence if the two can’t hash out a custody agreement prior to it.Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, and the two have been fighting over custody and money ever since. This past June, a judge ruled that the actress could lost primary custody of her six kids if she didn’t allow them to spend more time with their father. In August, the actress filed papers accusing Pitt of not paying any “meaningful child support” in the time since they separated.The actor’s lawyers dismissed the claim, calling it “a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage.” Pitt’s team further stated that he’s paid more than $1.3 million for the kids and also loaned his estranged wife $8 million to buy a home. Jolie’s camp shot back by saying a “loan” is not child support, “and to represent it as such is misleading and inaccurate.” The actress’s lawyers also argued that Pitt’s counter-claim was “a blatant attempt to obfuscate the truth and distract from the fact that he has not fully met his legal obligations to support the children.” In addition to all of the real-life developments, there have also been countless false tabloid stories surrounding the ex-couple’s high-profile divorce. One phony scenario that’s emerged several times is that the two are getting back together. The history of their custody battle would prove otherwise.Jennifer Aniston has also been dragged into the fold on countless occasions, with several tabloids alleging that she reconciled with Pitt amid his divorce. A few particularly egregious articles even claimed that Aniston was going to court with her ex-husband to help him win back his kids from Jolie. That’s not happening. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are heading to trial next month for a courtroom showdown in their bitter custody battle.The two Hollywood stars are set to duke it out in court, according to TMZ Monday, with December 4 set as the date for the start of a custody trial. They were reported to have reached an interim custody agreement regarding their six children in late summer. But negotiations appear to have broken down, and next month, the couple will ask a judge to rule on the custody battle over their six children, as well as their shared property, after it was revealed they had no prenup. The celebrity exes have filed paperwork in Los Angeles asking to be given until next June to hash out the details of their split with the help of a retired private judge.The proceedings will take place behind closed doors with Jolie seeking sole custody of the children while Pitt wants shared custody.The two, met on the set of the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, married in an intimate ceremony on August 23, 2014 in Correns, France, and separated in September 2016. They share Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.The private judge will also oversee the division of property as part of the divorce settlement since Pitt and Jolie didn't have a prenup.Meanwhile, Jolie, 43, has been in South Korea where she was seen taking son Maddox to visit a university in Seoul and then eating out at a local restaurant with son Pax. Jennifer Aniston is now caught in a wave of fake news stories that are wrongly linking Angelina Jolie to Justin Theroux romantically. It all began with a tabloid report that’s already been proven to be untrue. Still, a number of outlets are regurgitating the phony premise that Aniston and Brad Pitt‘s exes are dating without bothering to fact-check the claim. And to make matters worse, they’re profiting off the lie. It all began on Wednesday when a completely untrue Life & Style cover story hit newsstands, maintaining Jolie is dating Theroux and Aniston will be “devastated when she finds out.” Gossip Cop actually quickly debunked that made-up narrative, which is why respectable outlets didn’t repeat the fabricated report. A source close to Jolie, on condition on anonymity, assured us the tale about the Oscar-winning actress and “The Leftovers” star going out on dinner dates in New York was pure fiction. Meanwhile, Theroux’s rep, speaking on his behalf, told Gossip Cop on the record that the tabloid’s article was 100 percent “false.” It’s also the same magazine Gossip Cop exposed when it ran covers that wrongly asserted Jolie and Pitt got back together. That was followed by an entirely ludicrous front page report about Jolie getting married to husband number four. Mind you, it’s the same publication that staked its reputation as well on a bogus cover contending Theroux was dating Selena Gomez. Gossip Cop was the first to rightly bust each of those articles and dozens of others about Aniston, Theroux, Jolie and Pitt.
We don’t post articles until we’ve contacted several people related to the claims and have come to a determination. Conversely, outlets such as Celebrity Insider seem to rarely if ever fact-check reports, and instead appear to often just either cut-and-paste concocted articles published elsewhere or spin new angles to them. What’s worse is somehow that site is being rewarded with traffic and presumably revenue for throwing up fake news stories.In this particular case, Celebrity Insider posted two phony articles about the topic within hours of each other. One has the headline, “Angelina Jolie Is Reportedly Eyeing A Relationship With Jennifer Aniston’s Ex-Husband After Brad Pitt Divorce,” while the other is titled, “Angelina Jolie Secretly Dating Justin Theroux? This Could Be Jennifer Aniston’s Worst Nightmare.” In neither of those pieces does the blog mention having contacted anyone connected at all to Jolie, Theroux, or Aniston. Both tales are simply rooted in the already discredited Life & Style cover story from earlier in the week.And this is not an outlier. Just a few weeks ago, Gossip Cop shot down a fake news story from that website, which absurdly alleged Aniston and Theroux were getting back together. We also nailed the blog when it posted a work of fiction about Pitt turning to Aniston to navigate his divorce from Jolie. As opposed to those fabricated reports, in every single one of our pieces, we had on-the-record comments. Unfortunately, if you search for articles about Aniston, you might likely end up with manufactured nonsense, which is why if you want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, come directly to Gossip Cop.
