Angelina Jolie opened up about the importance of honoring her three adopted children's roots in an interview with Vogue on Friday. When asked about navigating raising adopted and biological siblings together, the 45-year-old Maleficent actresses spoke of respecting all of her children's cultural heritages. 'Each is a beautiful way of becoming family. What is important is to speak with openness about all of it and to share. ‘Adoption’ and ‘orphanage’ are positive words in our home,' the Oscar winner explained. She added: 'With my adopted children, I can’t speak of pregnancy, but I speak with much detail and love about the journey to find them and what it was like to look in their eyes for the first time.' Additionally, she noted that 'adopted children come with a beautiful mystery of a world that is meeting yours.' 'When they are from another race and foreign land, that mystery, that gift, is so full,' she said of her experience. Before giving birth to her three youngest children Shiloh, 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11, Jolie became a mom to Maddox, 18, Pax, 16 and Zahara, 15, through adoption. She also stressed her belief that non-biological children should never 'lose touch with where they came from.' 'They have roots that you do not. Honor them. Learn from them. It's the most amazing journey to share,' the humanitarian urged. In the same interview, the movie star spoke of ending her marriage to Brad Pitt, who she met in 2004 on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith, for the 'well-being' of kids.'It was the right decision. What Happened To Angelina Jolie Getting Keanu Reeves A Part In ‘The Eternals?

About a year ago, a tabloid claimed Angelina Jolie was trying to get Keanu Reeves a role in the upcoming Marvel film The Eternals for her own personal reasons. This was inaccurate. Gossip Cop busted the phony tale when it came out. As we look back on the bogus story, it’s apparent the tabloid had no idea what it was talking about with this ridiculous article. On June 17, 2019, the tabloid Woman’s Day claimed that Angelina Jolie was campaigning for Keanu Reeves to be a part of the Marvel movie just so she could date him. At the time, rumors were swirling that Reeves was in talks to join the highly anticipated movie, but they were never confirmed by Reeves or the studio. There was also no confirmation from any major publications.Still, Woman’s Day alleged that Jolie was pushing for Reeves to join the cast so a romance could bloom between them. The publication further contended that the actress would have been more than happy to mix “business with pleasure” when it came to Reeves. “She's pushing to have him join the cast and playing an integral part in bringing him on board. She thinks they'd be perfect together,” a supposed insider told the outlet. The idea that Jolie would be advocating for Reeves to join the film just so she can date him is ludicrous and insulting. The magazine tried to depict Jolie as a desperate woman looking to find any reason to have Reeves a part of the film to fulfill her own selfish needs. Gossip Cop’s suspicions were validated when we reached out to our source in Jolie’s camp and were told the story was laughable. They also told us that Jolie was not even interested in dating anyone at the time. Additionally, a week before this story came out, Gossip Cop busted a similar tale from Star that claimed that Angelina Jolie asked Keanu Reeves out on a date.It was clear that Woman’s Day was just taking an already debunked story and trying to recycle it — it didn’t work. Also, the publication’s reliability has been more than questionable. Almost two months ago, the unreliable outlet alleged that Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant were already married. There was no real evidence to support this claim, and Gossip Cop found the story to be misleading given the "sources" the outlet used were unnamed and vague.Last May, the sketchy magazine asserted that Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves were in love. The story was fabricated, especially given that Bullock has been in a long-term relationship with Bryan Randall. Gossip Cop wasted no time in exposing the fictitious story, just as we did with this latest tale.

Angelina Jolie urges Americans to address oppression as 'one fight' that goes beyond borders...in new essay penned for TIME magazine

In a new essay penned for TIME magazine on Thursday, Angelina Jolie urged Americans to view the ongoing fight for 'human rights and equality' as 'one fight' taking place across the world. 'As the burning injustice of discrimination and racism in America bursts to the forefront, we must also address persecution and oppression rising globally, depriving millions of their rights, their liberty and their physical safety,' began the 45-year-old actress.Jolie - who is special envoy for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees - revealed that 'nearly 80million' people globally 'have been forced from their homes by extreme persecution and violence, and are living as refugees.' The data, which was published by the U.N. Refugee Agency, is considered 'the highest number since records began, according to available data.''For the first time, forced displacement is affecting more than one percent of humanity, or 1 in every 97 people.'These are people fleeing attacks on schools and hospitals, mass sexual violence, the siege and starvation of whole cities, the murderous oppression of terrorist groups, and decades of institutionalized persecution based on religion, gender or sexuality,' wrote the Mr. And Mrs. Smith star. Jolie marveled at the fact that 'global displacement has almost doubled since 2010' and that 'more people are being forced to leave their homes on a larger scale in more places and at one of the fastest rates in living memory.' As to why the numbers have increased so rapidly, Angelina believes that the economic crash in 2008 'fueled hardship and anger and discontent' globally, which has led to a warped view of refugees. '...Refugees are often regarded as a burden, greeted with xenophobia and racism, and denigrated and dehumanized in politics and the media,' explained Angelina.
She went on to slam nations for not 'regarding human displacement as a temporary, man-made phenomenon we have the power to influence.''But from my personal experience the vast majority of refugees want to return home, and would do so, if their home countries were stable.'Working to solve the conflict in any one of the top five refugee producing countries, from Syria to Myanmar, would bring the overall number of displaced people down by millions.'She called out the United States for being 'quick to criticize the human rights records of adversaries' while staying silent 'when conflicts creating displacement and misery involve our allies.' 'When we start to pick and choose which countries or peoples we help, from our humanitarian assistance to our asylum policies, we ourselves are discriminating: assigning different levels of importance to different peoples, races, religions and ethnicities, violating the fundamental principle that we are all born equal.' Angelina believes that 'Americans are not taught enough to respect and admire the cultures and contributions of countries with histories far longer than our own.'And that without this 'deep understanding' of global cultures, Americans cannot 'have a truly deep understanding of [their] own history, and the acts [their] country was built upon.' 'What has become clear to me through my work is that the fight for human rights and equality is universal. It is one fight, wherever we live, and however different our circumstances might be.'There is a dividing line running across our world between those who have rights and freedom and those who do not. Who we choose to stand with, and how much we are prepared to change and to fight, should not stop at our borders,' she concluded.

The Maleficent star shares six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt.Angelina Jolie has opened up about her family's experience during lockdown in a new interview with Harper's Bazaar, revealing that during their quarantine, her youngest daughter Vivienne's beloved pet bunny had died. The mother-of-six said: "Like most parents, I focus on staying calm so my children don't feel anxiety from me on top of all they are worrying about. I put all my energy into them. During the lockdown, Vivienne's bunny passed away during a surgery, and we adopted two sweet little ones who are disabled." Discussing how the new additions to the family have helped, she continued: "They need to be in pairs. They are so gentle and it has helped to focus on their care with her at this time and on the dogs, and snakes and lizard." The Maleficent actress is isolating at home in Los Angeles with her six children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and just like every other parent, she's been struggling with homeschooling. Opening up about the experience in her column for Time magazine in April, she wrote: "We're all locked in, we're doing all right… Well, the two things that affect children from my view the most being out of school is of course, education, and the challenges of education." The Girl, Interrupted actress continued: "I know parents across the country are challenged with homeschool and maybe that's more a challenge for the parents than the children." The Hollywood star also opened up about her close relationship with her children and how she has learnt that it's okay not to be perfect. "Now, in the midst of this pandemic, I think of all the mothers and fathers with children at home. All hoping they can do everything right, answer all needs, and stay calm and positive. One thing that has helped me is to know that's impossible," she penned. The award-winning actress shares her six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, who lives nearby. During the lockdown, the kids have been spending their time between their mum and dad's houses. There is no doubt that the Jolie-Pitt children are keeping themselves occupied while staying at home too. Angelina has previously opened up about her children's interests and revealed that they all enjoy learning languages. During an interview on BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour, she said: "All the kids are learning different languages. I asked them what languages they wanted to learn and Shi is learning Khmai, which is a Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, Z is speaking French, Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language."
