Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's relationship is to be the subject of a new documentary by filmmaker Ian Halperin. The 52-year-old investigative journalist has promised to expose the intimate details behind their break-up and has claimed the Hollywood duo were estranged for more than a year before their split in September 2016.A source told The Sun: 'This is the definitive film about Brangelina and a lot of secrets are going to come out.'Ian has covered every cough and spit of their relationship and will reveal the real reasons behind Angelina filing for divorce.'The biggest shock will be his claim that the couple were apart for more than a year prior to their break-up.'Brad, 53, and Angelina, 41, are currently in the midst of a bitter, high-profile divorce and the documentary has been described as 'the last thing they need'. Meanwhile, Brad is reportedly 'much happier' because he has been 'spending more time' with his children in recent weeks. The Fury star is feeling more upbeat since he has started seeing his kids - Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - more often.A source said: 'He seems to have a more positive outlook. Things seem much better now ... He can spend more time with them ...'He seems much happier. He has missed his kids terribly. The kids are his whole world. It's all he cares about.'And the Hollywood star is happy to work with his estranged wife in the hope it will make the split easier on their children. The insider said: 'Brad is willing to work with Angie so they can have peace for the kids. What it ultimately comes down to is that he just wants to be with the kids.'Earlier this month, the former couple released their first joint statement since the actress filed for divorce in September. They signed agreements to keep court documents sealed in their custody battle and divorce proceedings to protect the privacy of their six children. The estranged couple said in a statement obtained by DailyMail.com: 'The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues.''The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification,' the statement concluded. The 53-year-old is currently allowed supervised visitation with his kids - Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - under the terms of a temporary agreement with estranged wife Jolie. Private judges are often used in high-profile divorce cases, keeping many details of a breakup out of the public eye while a final judgment is negotiated. The Maleficent star recently slammed Brad in court documents while agreeing to his request that documents relating to their custody battle be sealed from public view. The Moneyball actor filed documents last month that accused the actress of compromising the privacy of their brood. He claimed in court docs that Jolie 'appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest, and ... is attempting to clear the way to put in the public eye any allegations she can, without regard to the impact on the minor children.'The Oscar-winning actress slammed his statements as audacious in her own response paperwork. In the documents, she accused Brad of lashing out because he's 'terrified that the public will learn the truth' about his behavior behind closed doors. The Inglorious Basterds star was exonerated in November by officials with the FBI and Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, amid accusations he was physically abusive to Maddox during a Europe-bound flight in September.'There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse,' the actress said in court docs.Jolie added that the Fight Club star is trying to 'deflect from [his] own role in the media storm which has engulfed the ... children.' Pitt and Jolie were married for two years and together for 12 years after becoming close while filming 2005's Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Both actors have kept a relatively low profile since their breakup was announced, although Pitt made an appearance onstage at Sunday's Golden Globes to spirited applause.Meanwhile, a source with Page Six claimed that Brad's most recent public appearance was swift, as the actor promptly went home after appearing onstage and skipped the festive afterparties.

Angelina Jolie adopted her first daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, in Ethiopia in July of 2005 when she was just 6-months-old. Now, 12 years later, Zahara's biological mother is asking to reconnect with her daughter. Mentewab Dawit Lebiso spoke to the DailyMail and explained that she's hoping to be a part of Zahara's life. "I just want her to know that I am alive and here and long to be able to speak with her," Lebiso said. "I do not want my daughter back but just to be in contact with her and be able to call her up and talk with her."Though Lebiso is not too proud to admit that Jolie has give her daughter an incredible life, that hasn't helped the longing to have a relationship with her child."Angelina has been more of a mother to her than I have ever been," she said. "She has been with her since she was a baby, but that does not mean I do not miss her. I miss her all the time. I think about her every day and long to hear her voice or see her face. I know when she has a birthday, but I am sad because I can't celebrate it with her. I would so much want to celebrate with her on her birthday and other special days." She continued, "I would like Zahara to know she has a mother who loves her as much as Angelina. I know her life is with Angelina is in another country and she speaks another language than me. She has a life that I could never give her, but I would still like to have some contact. I would like to see her face. She has grown into a beautiful woman, and I am so proud of her. My heart bursts because I am so proud." elivering her final plea to reach Jolie, Lebiso concluded, "We all die sometime and before I die I would like her to know about me and that she has family here in Ethiopia. I would ask Angelina to let me speak with her. I do not think it is too much to ask."Lebiso's plea comes in the middle of Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce and custody battle over Zahara, 12, and their other five children, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 15, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 13, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10, Knox Jolie-Pitt, 8, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 8.Though the famous exes currently have a voluntary temporary custody agreement in place—granting him supervised visitation rights as Jolie maintains primary physical custody—they're still working out the official custody arrangement, which has become a very public matter. After Jolie filed for divorce, federal and local authorities investigated allegations that the actor was abusive toward Maddox on a private flight. Pitt was later cleared of any wrongdoing. They were due back in court on Tuesday, but E! News learned the scheduled date was taken off the calendar.Meanwhile, last week, Pitt and Jolie released their first joint statement together since their divorce news, explaining that they'd be moving forward in a private forum."The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues," their statement read. "The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

She’s got dad’s support. Jon Voight spoke exclusively with Us Weekly, saying that he is “rooting” for his daughter, Angelina Jolie, her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, and their six children even though the pair split last year.“It’s a difficult time, and I don't like to talk about it, but of course, I'm thankful for everybody's good wishes and prayers,” the 78-year-old actor told Us at the Hallmark party at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California, on Saturday, January 14. “And I hope things work out.” Asked about Jolie, 41, and Pitt’s custody agreement, Voight told Us that he is remaining hopeful about the future of the former couple’s relationship for the sake of his grandchildren, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.“I’m rooting for them. I don't want this thing to dissolve. I'm rooting for the kids,” the Ray Donovan star told Us. “My heart is with everybody, and my daughter, certainly, and the children.” Voight and Jolie were formerly estranged, but have since repaired their once-volatile father-daughter dynamic.Pitt, 53, sought to make custody details relating to their kids private, after Jolie’s lawyer filed paperwork outlining the pair’s temporary, voluntary arrangement with the court back in December. The Allied actor's request was denied by a judge at a hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court on December 7. As Us Weekly reported on January 9, Jolie and Pitt reached an agreement to keep their divorce and custody battle out of the public eye, which they revealed in a joint statement."The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues,” the actors’ reps told Us. “The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."Despite his fight over custody with Jolie, a source previously told Us that the Fight Club hunk is focusing on his health in the new year. “He lost a bunch of weight,” an insider said. “He’s focusing on himself again, watching what he eats and has a chef making him healthy meals.” Back in November, Pitt was cleared of child abuse allegations by the FBI — just months after Jolie filed for divorce on September 19, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested full custody of their children, and Pitt temporarily agreed to abide by a therapist's decision on whether to grant permission for visits.
