Brad Pitt shows off his wedding ring for the first time after marrying Angelina Jolie in a secret French ceremony

It has just been confirmed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have become man and wife. And the actor was more than happy to put his new wedding band on display as he attended a photocall for his new film, Fury. The 50-year-old star was seen posing at The Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset in his first appearance since he tied the knot on Saturday.Brad and Angelina arrived in Nice on Saturday for their nuptials, believed to have been held at Chateau Miraval.Jolie reportedly walked down the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10, on each arm while her daughters Zahara and Vivienne threw petals, and Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers. After a short family honeymoon in Nice, Jolie-Pitts are headed to Malta to start shooting their second film together, By The Sea, written and directed by the Oscar-winning actress. But Brad first made a quick stop to promote his WWII film alongside David Ayer, Logan Lerman and Jon Bernthal.Set in April 1945, FURY focuses on the Allies as they make their final push in the European Theatre. Battle-hardened army sergeant, Wardaddy (Brad Pitt), commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. It was actually on the set of a film, 2005's Mr & Mrs Smith, where Brad and Angelina fell in love.
Although the Fight Club star was married to Jennifer Aniston while shooting took place, the pair have always denied cheating allegations. However, they have both admitted to falling for each other while they played married assassins in the blockbuster. Speaking in 2008, Brad revealed the movie was among his favourites, explaining: 'Because you know... six kids. Because I fell in love.' In an interview with Australia's TV Week, the Oscar winning actress revealed she and her fiancé kept in touch the old fashioned way and mailed letters to each other while they filmed on opposite ends of the world. The correspondence occurred as they both worked on World War II themed films, with Angelina directing Unbroken - the biopic of Olympian turned war hero Louis Zamperini - in Australia and Brad starring as a soldier fighting the Nazis in Fury in London.'He was supportive from a distance and it was quite romantic in a way,' the 39-year-old said.'We decided to be of that time, when we could imagine he was in the European theater and I was in the Pacific theater, and we wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us, thinking of the people that were separated for months, if not years, at a time back then.'
Angelina and Brad, 50, won't have to send love letters during their next project as they will reunite onscreen to star in By The Sea.While details of the plotline are being kept under wraps, The Hollywood Reporter claims that the long-time lovers will play husband and wife in the flick, which is set to be released sometime in 2016.The movie, which is being written and directed by the Maleficent star, will be shot on location in Malta.Angelina previously revealed that their children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and twins Knox and Vivienne, five - were planning the wedding and joked that she and Brad may end up wearing camouflage in a paintball wedding extravaganza if their kids got their way.
