              Charlize Theron seldom disappoints on the red carpet. Indeed, with such a statuesque figure, gowns just radiate on her—even when they are paired down and in black. Case in point: The jaw-dropping dress she wore at the 2020 Oscars red carpet. It shows that, often times, it is the simplest styles that make the most impact.The look was by Dior, which comes as no surprise considering how she is the face of the brand's J'Adore fragrance. And that's the best way we would describe the ensemble. J'adore the length! J'adore the asymmetry! J'adore the fitted bodice! J'adore the way one sleeves hangs with such elegance and sultriness! J'adore the strappy heals! And, last but certainly not least, J'adore the slit! The way the Bombshell star, who is up for Best Actress at this year's ceremony, casually just let out her leg, revealing the high slit was just, well, wow. It was a moment that we won't forget anytime soon. In fact, it was a moment that was reminiscent of one made by another statuesque actress at the Academy Awards. Who could forget Angelina Jolie leg-baring stint at the 2012 Oscars? We certainly didn't. And though both looks are made of different fabrics, and have different necklines, the prominent slits are eerily similar.
