On February 4, 2013, Malala Yousafzai spoke to the world for the first time since she was targeted for her advocacy on behalf of girls’ education in October of last year. She announced the creation of the Malala Fund, which supports the right to education for children across the world.Vital Voices established the Fund on behalf of Malala and her family, working together with the United Nations Foundation and Girl Up, and within a community of supportive organizations and individuals.
