Angelina Jolie's reclusive godmother Jacqueline Bisset, 79, breaks cover amid family drama over Brad Pitt's son Pax

Angelina Jolie's reclusive godmother - a Hollywood legend - has broken cover for the first time in over a year as the actress deals with family crisis. Jacqueline Bisset, 79, confirmed that she and Jolie, 49, are still on good terms as she spoke briefly while on a trip to a pet shop in Los Angeles this week. But British-born Bisset, who was close friends with Jolie’s late mother Marcheline Bertrand, stayed tight lipped when asked if she had any contact with the star's children. Bisset made a name for herself in Hollywood decades ago with starring roles in Murder on the Orient Express and Bullitt. She grew close to Jolie's family after starring with her father Jon Voight in thriller The End of the Game in 1971, and over the years has gushed over her A-list goddaughter. 'I find her rather extraordinary,' she said at the Los Angeles premiere of Jolie's movie Original Sin in 2001. 'Her whole aura is breathtaking, and it's amazing how much she's changed in different stages [of life]. She's evolved so much.' When asked this week whether she is still close with Angelina, she replied simply: 'Yes, everything's good.' Jacqueline, who turns 80 in September, wore a large smile on her shopping trip for pet items, stopping briefly to answer questions. She donned a comfortable blue shirt, jeans, sandals and stylish sunglasses for the jaunt in Los Angeles. But Bisset stayed silent when questioned over Jolie's children, who have made headlines in their own right in recent years following the breakdown of her marriage to Pitt. The couple's son Pax suffered a terrifying accident a week ago after crashing his electric dirt bike into the back of a car stopped at a red light. Witnesses at the scene said Pax immediately complained about pain in his head and hip after the crash, and was rushed to hospital as paramedics feared he suffered bleeding on his brain. A source close to Angelia Jolie told Dailymail.com she's 'by his side in hospital' where he remains in a stable condition.' The full extent of his injuries are not yet clear. But despite their lack of contact, a source told DailyMail.com: 'Brad is distraught and worried over Pax's accident, but he is unable to reach him. Pax has been been estranged from Pitt since an alleged domestic violence incident with on a private jet with ex-wife Angelina in 2016. In an Instagram post from 2020, he called his Pitt a 'world class a***hole' and an 'awful human being'. 'You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want,' he added. 'But the truth will come to light someday.' At the time, sources said Pitt found it 'depressing to see this dragged up.' And following Pax's accident, sources said the divide between Pitt and his adopted son left him heartbroken. 'It is very upsetting to Brad whenever he hears of one of the kids being hurt and he feels completely powerless because there is nothing that he can do at all.' 'A father's inclination would be to go to the hospital, or to call him. He's tried so many times but the kids won't take his calls. His hands are tied.' n'Brad doesn't think that Pax should be driving a scooter without a helmet to begin with - he should have been in a car,' the insider said, in a subtle swipe at Angelina. Jolie adopted Pax from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2007 when he was three. He had been dumped as a newborn by his heroin-addicted biological mother.
