Angelina Jolie fans slam star's 'unflattering' Vogue Mexico cover: 'She looks really sad!'

         A number of Angelina Jolie fans were left unimpressed by her recent Vogue Mexico cover, claiming the actress looked 'sad' on it. The Gia star, 49, graced the cover of the magazine's December issue, where she spoke about releasing her 'private pain', as she alluded to her split from ex husband Brad Pitt, 60. Jolie split from her film star husband after a disputed incident on a plane in 2016. In her interview she discussed how she used her upcoming role as opera singer Maria Callas in a new biopic to deal with the pain.The cover —shot by photographer Dan Martensen — featured Jolie in a black Christian Dior dress, her somber expression and flowing brunette hair creating a melancholic image. Fans took online to slam the 'unflattering' cover, with one writing, 'She looks really sad here, like she got the worst possible news just before she walked on set.' 'These look like outtakes. It takes skill to make Angelina Jolie look this bad,' someone else on theFashionSpot forum added.  'Not good,' yet another person chimed in. 'That’s quite an unflattering shot of Angelina Jolie. Not her best angle. That being said, I like the coloring and the simplicity of it all.' Another commentator said the image looked 'so low budget.' However, others appreciated the rawness of the image. 'I love the idea of Angelina Jolie as a cover star. Her face at least wasn’t retouched in such a way magazines do!'  In her interview, Angelina spoke about her latest role, and explained how opera made her visit the 'deeper parts of myself' and life as she learned to 'access a new part of herself' to sing.'I had to take a deep breath and let it all out, and in between that, I also had to let out my real voice… which I also didn’t really have, because it’s where I carried my private pain, my gentleness, and a lot of things that I felt I didn’t own, that I didn’t feel safe letting out, it also involved owning something that I didn’t want to deal with,' she said. 'There’s something that happens in these beautiful pieces of music that you can’t sing unless you can access a certain part of yourself.'
        Angelina has said in court documents that Brad assaulted her and some of their six children and poured wine and beer on the family in a rage. He has always denied being violent towards her or the family.She explained: 'I hadn’t really understood how much we hold in our bodies, how much we carry throughout life and how all of that changes and affects our sound and our voice.'And I don’t just mean the audible part of our voice, but our true voice: the way we communicate with each other.'Angelia, who spent six months learning how to sing for the film, looked incredible as she posed for a series of sultry snaps for the accompanying photoshoot.Changing into second outfit, she opted for a sophisticated, plunging square neck dress and later added a brown fur coat.Maria - which has already generated Oscars buzz following the trailer's release - is slated for a limited theatrical release in the United States on November 27 - before dropping on Netflix on December 11.The movie follows the life of famed opera singer Maria Callas, with the first trailer being released last week.The film opens in the last days of the soprano's life and looks back on all the triumphs and tragedies along the way. Callas died of a heart attack at her Paris home on September 16, 1977. She was 53.It comes following news that Pitt is planning to have an intimate Thanksgiving celebration with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon amid his estrangement from his and Jolie's children.The actor is reportedly going to spend the holiday with de Ramon, 31, who he started dating in 2022.A source told People that the happy couple, who have been living together since February, 'will be spending Thanksgiving together and want to be cozy with their families.' 'They both love to cook and will be cooking together for everyone,' the insider revealed.
        Meanwhile, his six kids Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, will most likely be spending the day with their mother.Pitt and Jolie's acrimonious legal battle has also torn apart their relationship with his parents, who 'have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for around eight years.'A source told told DailyMail.com exclusively, this week, that prior to the former couple's separation, their grandparents 'were a part of the kids’ lives and they all spent a lot of time together.''It is one thing for the kids to not see their father, but for Jane and Bill to not have any contact with their precious grandkids is sad,' the insider stated. 'They are in their 80s and to think that they would never be able to spend time with the kids again is just unbelievable.'It has also been reported that Brad is considering starting a family with Ines, amidst his ongoing legal battles with ex-wife and his separation from their six children. He's reportedly '100% on board' with starting afresh with Ines and has even confided in friends that he believes she would be a 'wonderful mother.' according to a pal of the star.A friend of Pitt told DailyMail.com: 'It's devastating for Brad that he basically had no relationship with his kids, but Ines has been a real source of comfort and it's actually brought them closer together.'Having more kids in his life is not out of the question. Ines is young and Brad said he's 100% on board if she wants to have kids. He loves the idea of building a life with Ines and nothing is off the table.'Brad said Ines would be a wonderful mother. She's patient, easy going and has a great sense of humor.'
