           She's leaning into life in the Big Apple.And Angelina Jolie made herself right at home as she stopped by a local grocery store in New York on Thursday morning despite staying at a luxury hotel nearby with top of the line amenities.The 46-year-old actress looked ethereal in a white sundress as she perused the aisles in the market after reconnecting with her ex-husband, Johnny Lee Miller, following a few visits to his Brooklyn-area apartment. Angelina was feeling the change of seasons as she slipped on a summery white linen dress with a matching rope belt worn high atop her hips.She carried her favorite canvas and brown leather Louis Vuitton bag across her shoulder and wore tan mules with silver clasps.Despite the state of New York lifting face mask mandates and essentially reopening just days before, Jolie wore a grey facial covering to protect herself amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.Once inside the store, she appeared to put peanut butter, cereal, milk and beef jerky in her cart, possibly snacks for her visits to Johnny's Brooklyn digs.Jolie has been staying at the ultra luxurious Carlyle Hotel overlooking Central Park while visiting New York with her children, where room prices begin at $700, with suites ranging thousands of dollars per night.The Sun recently claimed that Miller has not only met Pax, 17, but also Jolie's youngest son Knox, 12. The Oscar-winning beauty shares custody of both kids with ex-husband Brad Pitt, in addition to Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and and Vivienne, 12.'On her first evening with Jonny, Angelina only took Knox along, and they got on like a house on fire,' a source told the outlet. 'Knox is a sweet kid and I imagine she decided he was the easiest one to begin introductions with.' And Pax was curious what Miller was like so he came the next evening. 'She went back the next afternoon with Pax, who was curious to meet this guy she's always spoken so fondly about,' said the insider. 'They only hung out for a short while at Jonny's apartment, but they seemed to get along well.'On Friday, The Girl Interrupted star spent about three hours inside — where the pair reportedly enjoyed dinner — and was then spotted exiting the premise at 10:30pm. They were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of their movie Hackers a year prior, but separated shortly after and officially divorced in 1999.Though Angelina is based in Los Angeles, California, she is said to be in NYC for a belated birthday trip where she was joined by all six of her children.Angelina was reportedly left 'bitterly disappointed' after a court awarded joint custody to her ex Brad Pitt with the star allegedly set to appeal the decision with a hearing due for July 9. The couple have recently been embroiled in a contentious custody battle over their six children.Angelina filed for divorce in 2016 citing 'irreconcilable differences' and it was finalized in 2019. The former pair have been in a lengthy custody battle with the actress wanting sole custody and Brad fighting for joint. In May, a court awarded joint custody to Brad which left her 'bitterly disappointed' according to Us Weekly .Angelina is set to appeal the decision 'to demonstrate clear, reversible, prejudicial legal error,' on behalf of the judge — who she tried to remove from the case entirely — and a hearing is set for July 9.
