Celine Dion was reportedly left ‘devastated’ after Angelina Jolie turned down playing the iconic Candian singer in a biopic. We are too TBH, this could have been cinematic gold. Despite the pair being good friends, the Maleficent actress is said to have turned her down because she was too busy. A source told RadarOnline: ‘For years now, Celine’s big passion has been a musical movie adaptation of her life, career and marriage to Rene [Angelil]. She wants this to happen for both her kids and her fans, and was dead-set on Angie landing the part. ‘Celine considered Angie a good friend, and is devastated that she’s turning down the role.’ The Power Of Love, Celine’s biopic, was announced back in January. A $23 million (£17.6 million) film detailing the singer’s career, life and music is being put together by French studio Gaumont, according to Variety.Celine has given the project her approval and given the production the rights to her songs, with the movie set to include some of her greatest hits, including All By Myself and My Heart Will Go On. Okay, but is there going to be a singalong version or? It will follow Celine’s childhood in Quebec, along with her rise to fame and family life with her husband Rene Angelil, who was also her manager and passed away in 2016 following his battle with throat cancer.Despite Angie’s tragic decision, the 51-year-old is currently happier than ever. She told Elle magazine: ‘I am like a one-year-old! I’m not saying that I don’t care what people think of me, but I’ve reached a point in my life where I can let myself make my own decisions and choices….

Theron addresses reports that she and Jolie ‘can’t stand each other’.It makes for a good Hollywood story.It goes like this: An ongoing feud between Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie, two of the industry’s most beautiful, force-of-nature female stars, escalated after Theron started secretly dating Jolie’s ex-husband Brad Pitt over the Christmas holidays.The tabloids pushed the story, with The Sun claiming to have an eyewitness account of Theron, 43, and Pitt, 55, getting cozy at a special film screening at Chateau Marmont, the famous Hollywood gathering spot. “The new lovebirds were all over each over,” a source told The Sun.Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported that Theron and Jolie, also 43, can’t stand each other and have been “feuding for years” over film roles. It was expected that Theron allegedly dating Pitt — so soon after Pitt and Jolie reached an agreement in their nasty, high-profile custody battle — would aggravate tensions between the women.But alas, Theron has come forward to dash people’s wicked fantasies that she and Jolie have been engaged in some epic, behind-the-scenes conflict that would be today’s answer to Joan Crawford vs. Bette Davis.During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen asked Theron if the stories about her and Jolie were made up, HuffPost.com reported.“Oh, 100%,” said Theron, who was appearing on Cohen’s show with Seth Rogen, her co-star in the upcoming comedy film “Long Shot.” “I don’t know her very well,” the Academy Award winner added. “I know her from events. … We’re not friends or hang out. …”Theron then proceeded to shower Jolie with compliments. “She’s always so lovely,” Theron said. “She’s never been nothing but gracious and lovely and warm.”Meanwhile, in an interview last month with “Entertainment Tonight,” Theron proclaimed that she was single and “shockingly available.”In that statement, she dashed people’s hopes that she and Pitt were secretly dating and ready to join forces to become Hollywood’s new power couple.Theron’s last major relationship was with actor Sean Penn. New Line Cinema and Creative Wealth Media will co-finance the Angelina Jolie wilderness thriller “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” the company announced Thursday.New Line parent company, Warner Bros. Pictures, will handle worldwide marketing and distribution.The film, described as a female-driven neo-Western set against a wildfire in the Montana wilderness, begins principal photography this month. Taylor Sheridan, whose received an Oscar nomination for his “Hell or High Water” script, is directing from his own screenplay based on Michael Kortya’s bestselling novel, previously adapted by Charles Leavitt and Michael Koryta.In the novel, the story follows a 14-year-old boy who witnesses a brutal murder, is issued a false identity and hidden in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens while the killers are slaughtering anyone who gets in their way in a methodical quest to reach him.Jolie’s castmates include Nicholas Hoult, Jon Bernthal, and Tyler Perry. The film is being produced by Film Rites and Bron Studios. Sheridan is also producing with Garrett Basch, Steven Zaillian, and Bron Studios’ Aaron L. Gilbert and Kevin Turen. Jason Cloth of Creative Wealth Media, Kathryn Dean and Michael Friedman are executive producers.Warner Bros. and Bron Creative recently closed a $100 million co-financing deal for six movies, including Clint Eastwood’s “The Mule,” Rebel Wilson’s “Isn’t It Romantic” and the “Joker” origin film starring Joaquin Phoenix. Bron Creative is a joint venture between Bron Studios and Creative Wealth. Jolie was last seen in “By the Sea,” which she also directed. Are Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson really feuding? One of the tabloids claims there’s a major war brewing between the two actresses. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.According to the National Enquirer, the two stars have been at odds for years but “now things are getting outright volatile” between them. A supposed source says tension recently arose when Jolie pushed for her Maleficent sequel to get released this year instead of in 2020, “putting her in direct competition for ticket sales with Scarlett, who is gunning for her first Oscar with JoJo Rabbit.” The story is absurd from the start. JoJo Rabbit is expected to hit theaters sometime in late 2019, but the film doesn’t have a release date yet. There’s no indication it’s opening on the same weekend as Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which is being released on October 18.Additionally, it was Disney that decided to push up the release of the Maleficent sequel from May 2020 to October of this year. The studio made the decision because the film would have less competition in that frame. Jolie herself didn’t choose the new date, nor did she specifically target JoJo Rabbit, a World War II satire which doesn’t have a specific release date yet and which is aimed at a different audience than Maleficent 2. By the tabloid’s logic, Jolie is at war with every other actor and actress in Hollywood who has a project being released in the fall.
From there, the magazine further contends that Jolie “is also staking a claim to Scarlett’s turf by signing up for multiple Marvel movies.” Jolie has only signed on for one Marvel movie, The Eternals, and her involvement in the superhero movie isn’t an attack on Johansson in any way. Still, the suspicious tipster maintains there’s “a ton of bad blood” between the two actress, who are supposedly “at each other’s throats and trash-talking each other to anyone who’ll listen.” Despite the tabloid’s report being baseless and illogical, Gossip Cop still checked in with sources close to both actresses, and we’re assured there’s never been a feud between them. The gossip media seems to enjoy pitting Jolie against her peers. We previously called out the Enquirer’s sister outlet, RadarOnline, for falsely claiming Jolie was feuding with Penelope Cruz. Gossip Cop also busted the magazine’s other sister publication, OK!, for wrongly reporting that Jolie was feuding with Michelle Pfeiffer on the set of the Maleficent sequel. The actress’s showdown with Johansson is equally nonexistent.
