Angelina Jolie stunned in an off-the shoulder grey sweater and flowing white skirt as she attended a signing for her new book on Tuesday. As she arrived to the event, the 46-year-old star was greeted by a sea of fans eager to mingle and take pictures with her at the Skylight bookstore in Los Angeles. While sporting a protective black face mask, the mom-of-six generously took selfies and signed autographs on her way in. It comes after Jolie enjoyed a dinner date on Monday with ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller after reconciliation rumours were first sparked in June when she was seen arriving at 48-year-old Miller's NYC apartment. Her novel, Know Your Rights and Claim Them - written with human rights lawyer Geraldine Van Bueren, one of the original drafters of the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child - aims to equip kids with the knowledge to safely challenge injustices.'So many children are in harm's way across the world and we're simply not doing enough,' Jolie told Reuters in an interview. She continued: 'These are their rights, decided years ago based on what would make them healthy, balanced, safe and stable adults.' 'These are their rights, decided years ago based on what would make them healthy, balanced, safe and stable adults.'Jolie, special envoy for UN refugee agency UNHCR, said she hoped the book would also remind governments of their commitment to the global treaty enshrining children's civil, social, political and economic rights.'We spent a lot of time blocking those rights, so this book is to help the kids have a tool book to say "these are your rights, these are things you need to question to see how far you, depending on your country and circumstance, are from accessing those rights, what are your obstacles, others that came before you and fought, ways you can fight."' The Salt actress added: 'So it's a handbook to fight back.'The mother-of-six said she put up the U.N convention in her home for her children, but was surprised to learn her own country, the United States, has not ratified it.'That infuriated me and made me start to question what does that mean?' said the ex of Brad Pitt.'So for each country, what is this idea of, you have the right to an education ... but then why is it so many children are out of school? Why is it the girls in Afghanistan are being harmed if they go?' she said.
The book addresses identity, justice, education and protection from harm, among other issues. It provides guidance on becoming an activist, being safe and a glossary of terms and organizations.'Through the book, you have to find your own path forward, because we are very concerned about the safety of children. We don't want children just running around screaming for their rights and putting themselves in danger,' Jolie said. The book is peppered with examples of powerful young voices from around the world, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, climate activist Greta Thunberg and 15-year-old Palestinian journalist Janna Jihad.'I was trying to ... show the world what Palestinian children face on a daily basis,' Jihad, who lives in the village of Nabi Salih, in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, told Jolie and other young activists in a video call, attended by Reuters, where they discussed their campaign work. 'It's really important to band together with other young people ... that's the way we will ever be able ... to make change,' added London-based Christina Adane, 17, who campaigns for a healthier food system. The book is out in Britain on Thursday and for pre-order in other countries, with the aim of worldwide publication.'We're going to find that some adults in some countries are going to block the book and the children will find it so I think that's how it's going to reach more children,' Jolie said.'The children will make each other aware of it and they might even be a part of translating it and getting it to each other.' (Reporting by Rollo Ross in Los Angeles and Marie-Louise Gumuchian in London; additional reporting by Sarah Mills; Writing by Marie-Louise Gumuchian; Editing by Alex Richardson). The actress can next be seen in the Marvel movie The Eternals with Salma Hayek. It comes after Jolie was once again spotted with her ex-husband Miller when the pair enjoyed dinner in Beverly Hills on Monday. The Maleficent star - who is still battling through her bitter divorce saga with ex Brad Pitt - was dressed in a chic black coat and heels as she exited in Miller's car before the pair drove off together.Jolie, 46, and Miller, 48, were married from 1996 to 1999 after first meeting onset of their nineties thriller Hackers in 1995. The pair were recently linked in June this year, when Jolie was spotted arriving at Miller's apartment in NYC, while holding an expensive bottle of wine. She was seen leaving a few hours later. It was claimed at that time, that Miller had met and bonded with her songs Pax, 17, and Knox, 12.The Oscar-winning beauty shares custody of both kids with ex-husband Pitt, in addition to Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and and Vivienne, 12.While she is sure to set tongues wagging about a possible reunion between the duo - she has also been repeatedly dining out with music superstar The Weeknd this year.

Angelina Jolie has once again been spotted with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller. The former couple were pictured enjoying a dinner date together on Monday night at Eoc restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. The Maleficent star - who is still battling through her bitter divorce saga with ex Brad Pitt - was dressed in a chic black coat and heels as she exited in Miller's car before the pair drove off together. Jolie, 46, and Miller, 48, were married from 1996 to 1999 after first meeting onset of their nineties thriller Hackers in 1995. While she is sure to set tongues wagging about a possible reunion between the duo - she has also been repeatedly dining out with music superstar The Weeknd this year. The pair were recently linked in June this year, when Jolie was spotted arriving at Miller's apartment in NYC, while holding an expensive bottle of wine. She was seen leaving a few hours later. It was claimed at that time, that Miller had met and bonded with her songs Pax, 17, and Knox, 12.The Oscar-winning beauty shares custody of both kids with ex-husband Pitt, in addition to Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and and Vivienne, 12.Last month, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed how Jolie was trying to sell her 50% stake in the vineyard that she shared with Pitt, held through her company, Nouvel. Her move to sell - which she did this month on October 6 - was branded 'vindictive and systematic obstruction' by the actor in bitter lawsuit. The estate - now valued at $164 million - is where the couple tied the knot in 2008.Angelina's move comes after the lawsuit obtained by DailyMail.com showed Miraval is owned by Quimicum, a company in which Pitt originally held a 60 per cent share through his company Mondo Bongo while Jolie held 40 per cent through Nouvel.Three years before he and Jolie split, Pitt transferred ten per cent of Mondo Bongo's shares to her company, Nouvel rendering them 50/50 stakeholders in Quimicum. The suit went on to allege that she was trying to sell her 50 per cent, circumvent Pitt's right of first refusal and profit from the 'incredible amount of work, time and money,' invested by Pitt and his business partners in growing the brand. The PDA pair kept lockets of each other's blood and bought grave plots before divorcing in 2003 after two years of wedded bliss.
The Come Away actress then fell for her Mr. & Mrs. Smith leading man Brad Pitt, who promptly divorced his wife Jennifer Aniston in 2005. 'Brangelina' went on to have a 12-year relationship - only two years of which they were married. A contentious court battle over their five underage children rages on.The bisexual beauty has also been rumored to have romanced Anton Schneider, Jenny Shimizu, Timothy Hutton, Misty Cooper, Colin Farrell, Val Kilmer, Taye Diggs, and Wyclef Jean. But according to the lawsuit, the ten per cent transfer is void as the shares were 'sold' for only 1 Euro and not a 'serious' amount as required by Luxembourg law.The Chateau and the 1,000-acre estate near Aix-en-Provence in which it sits was once the couple's getaway. It was there that the couple, who met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004 when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Anniston, decided to marry in an intimate ceremony in 2008.Jolie filed for divorce in August 2016 citing 'irreconcilable differences' and requesting primary custody of their six children. As of May, Pitt and Jolie share joint custody of their five underage children - Pax, 17; Zahara, 16; Shiloh, 15; as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 13.However, Vietnamese-born Pax will become a legal adult when he turns 18 on November 29, and their eldest son Maddox is 20 and attending Yonsei University in Seoul. In April Angelina stated that she stepped back from directing to return to acting due to 'a change in her family situation'. After establishing herself as one of the most bankable box office stars in the early 2000s, she largely devoted the 2010s to directing, although she has now insisted that a continued pursuit of directing has become 'impossible'.The star made her directing debut in 2011's In the Land of Blood and Honey, followed by 2014's Unbroken, By the Sea in 2015 and First They Killed My Father in 2017.While she did not specifically detail what the 'change' was, Angelina has been engaged in a lengthy custody battle with ex-husband Brad. When asked about her shift towards acting in favor of directing, Angelina said the move was due to her family, but directing is still a passion for her.She candidly told Entertainment Weekly: 'I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that's not made it possible for me to direct for a few years.'I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That's really the truth of it.'

Angelina Jolie has sold her 50% share of Château Miraval winery amid her bitter court battle with ex-husband and co-owner Brad Pitt, it was revealed of Tuesday. The Maleficent star, 46, sold the shares to wine group Tenute del Mondo - part of the Stoli Group, which counts Masseto and Ornellaia in its portfolio - in a move that was foreseen last month in her latest legal battle with the actor, 57.The estate - now valued at $164 million - is where the couple tied the knot in 2008.In September, Angelina's plans to sell the shares in the alcohol and property giant were branded 'vindictive' and guilty of 'systematic obstruction' in a lawsuit brought against her by Brad, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed. She was accused of trying to cut the actor out of a deal to offload her 50% stake in the vineyard, which is held through her company Nouvel. It was announced the group bought the share through its premium wine division, Tenute del Mondo, which also owns brands such as Masseto, Ornellaia, Luce, CastelGiocondo, Achaval Ferrer and Arínzano.Jon Pepper MW, managing director of Tenute del Mondo gushed over the acquisition, saying: 'With the addition of a Rose of this calibre we are well positioned to meet the exquisite demands of both customers and partners alike'.Global CEO of Stoli Group Damian McKinney spoke of Stoli's admiration of Miraval's 'exceptional' wines and brand and was thrilled to have a position alongside Brad Pitt as curators of its extraordinary vintages.'We are honoured to do our part to uphold the integrity and commitment, as well as invest the time and passion, evidenced in both the Chateau and the Miraval brand'.Angelina's move comes after the lawsuit obtained by DailyMail.com showed Miraval is owned by Quimicum, a company in which Pitt originally held a 60 per cent share through his company Mondo Bongo while Jolie held 40 per cent through Nouvel.Three years before he and Jolie split, Pitt transferred ten per cent of Mondo Bongo's shares to her company, Nouvel rendering them 50/50 stakeholders in Quimicum. The suit went on to allege that she was trying to sell her 50 per cent, circumvent Pitt's right of first refusal and profit from the 'incredible amount of work, time and money,' invested by Pitt and his business partners in growing the brand. & Mrs. Smith in 2004 when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Anniston, decided to marry in an intimate ceremony in 2008.Now, it's simply another asset over which to wrangle in a divorce that has burned through the courts for years. According to the lawsuit it is valued at over 140million Euros (approximately $164m).'It is worth mentioning that, for the last four years, Nouvel [Jolie's company] did not act in the best interest of Quimicum by systematically delaying the approval of the annual accounts and the renewal of the manager,' the suit states. It continues: 'We understand that behind this systematic obstruction, the real purpose of Nouvel and its shareholder [Jolie] is to sell its stake in Chateau Miraval SA in a way that would circumvent Mondo Bongo's right of first refusal (as provided in Quimicum's articles of approval), taking, as a result, a capital gain raised thanks to Mondo Bongo's investment and to which Nouvel did not contribute.'Commenting on the latest proceedings one source familiar with the couple's ongoing legal battles told DailyMail.com: 'Angelina's actions towards Brad are consistently vindictive.''It's another example of this person trying to circumvent the rules and avoid their obligations. Jolie filed for divorce in August 2016 citing 'irreconcilable differences' and requesting primary custody of their six children, Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and twins Vivienne and Nox, 12.

She's a renowned actress, filmmaker and activist..And Angelina Jolie was proud to have daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt and poet Amanda Gorman at her side during Variety's Power Of Women gala at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills on Thursday. The Maleficent star, 46, was radiant in coffee-colored pleated silk with a high collar as she wrapped her arms around her eldest daughter, 16, and Gorman, 23, one of the evening's honorees.Embracing classic elegance, she styled her brunette tresses in bouncy waves and played up her pout with a cherry red lip.Besides her Zahara wowed in a wide-legged white pants worn with a flowy blouse and leather belt in matching ivory.Amanda glowed in a hot pink Versace gown which swept down to the floor. Continuing the glamour, she rocked purple lipstick, dangling earrings along with jeweled pins in her hair. During the actual event, Angelina took to the stage to present Gorman with Variety's Power of Women honor. She praised the national youth poet laureate for captivating the country at the inauguration of President Joe Biden as she said: 'The young woman of grace, who stepped fearlessly to the podium on inauguration day. Not just the youngest but the strongest voice we could ask for in that moment. 'The Amanda we see today might seem as if she leapt into our times, fully formed, to summon our better angels. But there was an Amanda we didn’t see.'Jolie quoted some of Gorman's own words as she continued: 'A little girl with a speech impediment. In her own words, "a buck-toothed, kinky-haired, speech-garbled 7-year-old." 'Scribbling in her journal, on the school bus and park bench. wrestling with language, puzzling out meaning and rhyme, inventing her own dictionary. All those hours of thought and creation forged the unfaltering woman you see today.' She went on to praise the poet for her talent to hone her words in order to express them to the masses to 'bring people to the streets.'Jolie said: 'So as well as celebrating your extraordinary achievements, Amanda, we honor 7-year-old you, and every other girl who feels she is an outsider, alone, when she is simply coming into her own.'So many girls have their progress in life derailed — by poverty, by the disapproving word, the clenched fist, or the steel of the gun. How many Amanda’s are living in Afghanistan, hiding their journals, waiting to see if they will be allowed to go to school? As if anyone has the right to decide what a woman can or cannot do with her own mind and body.'The A-list star concluded with a message about free speech as she said: 'Those who have the power of free speech – the weapon of free speech – must combine to defend those who do not. We need voices like Amanda’s, those lights in the dark. May you burn fiercely, and light the way for others.' (...)
