Jolie brief the council as special envoy for the U.N. on refugee issues.Syria's ambassador said simply of her presence, "She's beautiful."Nearly four million Syrians have fled the conflict into neighboring countries, which warn they are dangerously overstretched."We cannot look at Syria, and the evil that has arisen from the ashes of indecision, and think this is not the lowest point in the world's inability to protect and defend the innocent," Jolie said."We are standing by in Syria," she said, adding that the council's powers lie unused because its members cannot agree on how to address the conflict.Jolie, who said she has made 11 visits to Syrian refugees in the region since the crisis began in 2011, called strongly for the political will to act.Russia, a top Syria ally and backed by China, has vetoed multiple council resolutions on Syria, including an effort last year to refer the situation there to the International Criminal Court.Jolie said the council must now "work as one," and she said she would like to see the foreign minister of each of the 15 council members come to the table to negotiate a political solution. She also urged council members to visit Syrian refugees and see the crisis for themselves. In addition, Jolie spoke briefly about the rising migrant crisis on the Mediterranean, where more than 1,300 migrants fleeing Syria and other places have drowned at sea over the past three weeks."It is sickening to see thousands of refugees drowning on the doorstep of the world's wealthiest continent," she said. "No one risks the lives of their children in this way except out of utter desperation."In January, Jolie appealed for urgent funding to assist millions of displaced Iraqis and Syrians living in dire conditions in northern Iraq.More than 3.8 million Syrians have fled to Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, according to the UNHCR, while another 7.6 million Syrians are displaced inside the country. At least 1.8 million Iraqis were also displaced last year by violence triggered by the Sunni militant onslaught.

Keeping an eye on your children can be a tough job any day of the week - but when you have six, staying relaxed is an almost impossible task.Angelina Jolie certainly seemed to be feeling the pressure as she took her children to visit their faith on set in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Monday. The 39-year-old looked a little stressed on the set of Brad Pitt's new film The Big Shot as she took a phone call. Despite the older children - Maddox ,13, Pax, 11, and Zahara, 10 - not appearing to be with her on this trip, juggling her younger three and her phone call appeared to be stressing the star out. While Shiloh, 8, stayed close, her six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne were tearing around on set somewhere. Angelina looked very serious as spoke on her phone furrowing her brow and frowning while pacing back and forth on the back lot. However, while she did not appear to be in a good mood, she did look good. For her set visit, the Tomb Raider star looked casual but still chic in a pair of black jeans with a nude colour tank and a black cardigan. The actress accessorised her look with a pair of ballet flats, a big black handbag and aviator sunglasses.Despite starting the day feeling the pressure a bit, fast forward a few hours and Angelina was much happier. After watching her husband do his thing on the set of the financial crisis-based film, Angie made a quick change and got the children together to fly out of New Orleans.Besides the fact she was wearing a different outfit - consisting of a black top and giant scarf - the star could not look more different. The 39-year-old beamed as she headed to the private jet, which was set to whisk her, her husband and their children away for a little mini break. The smiling star was flanked by her twins with Brad following behind. The actress' set visit comes after reports that she and Brad wanted to expand their already large family.A business associate of the couple told the UK's The Express that Angelina and Brad want to adopt a little Syrian girl.'She has been moved to tears on several occasions over the plight of youngsters orphaned in the Syrian conflict,' the source told The Express.'Now she has sorted out her health issues, she and Brad believe the time is right to adopt another orphan from there, most likely a daughter.'However, before Brangelina fans get too excited, Brad's rep has denied the couple plan to adopt again.

It’s been close to seven years since Wanted smashed into cinemas in such gloriously over-the-top fashion that it instantly developed a fervent fan-base. Talk of a sequel has come and gone with every subsequent film that its rich ensemble and creative team have been involved in, and the subject of Wanted 2 has once again risen during a discussing with director Timur Bekmambetov - who insists that he’d love for it to happen and wants his original stars to return.During his chat with Collider, Bekmambetov admitted that he’s already been hard at work on Wanted 2. In fact, he’s already outlined the story for the film, got a team on-board to bring it to fruition, and he even teased that he wants to work with all of the original cast members from the original; even the ones who died in the film. Said the director, I would be so happy to work with James [McAvoy], Konstantin [Khabensky], and Angelina [Jolie] again. This film has influenced my film career in the USA a lot. It means a great deal to me.There’s just one problem with Bekmambetov wanting to bring back Angelina Jolie’s character for Wanted 2: Fox died courtesy of her own curving bullet to save the life of James McAvoy’s Wesley at the end of the first Wanted.
Still, that slight hiccup can be solved with a simple explanation. The biggest problem regarding Wanted 2 is that everyone involved is waiting for Universal to figure out when the best possible start-date for it might be. Or as Bekmambetov but it, For my part, I already have the concept of the new story. I have all the screenwriters and co-producers on board. I’ve seen that some websites have even posted the posters of Wanted 2.However despite this hype and hysteria for the follow-up, Bekmambetov teased that Universal are dragging their feet as they look for the best possible date to squeeze it out. Apparently the studio is still contemplating possible pre-production start dates. It’s understandable why Universal is currently deciding when to put Wanted 2 into production. The original was a relentless rollercoaster of uniquely bombastic action that was punctuated with fine performances and stylish direction, plus it also grossed an impressive $341 million from its $75 million budget. But the adaptation of Mark Millar and J.G. Jones’ impressive comic-book series has since been joined on the big-screen by a plethora of other franchises from the medium, and now that the likes of Marvel, Warner Bros., and Fox have taken up all of the good dates for the next five years, it’s hard to know when Wanted 2 can both hit multiplexes and be successful at the same time.Fingers crossed the powers that be can figure out the answer to that conundrum soon, because another Wanted film would be the perfect anecdote to the cavalcade of superheroes that currently populate the cinematic schedules.
