They went from freaky to finished in just a few years and Billy Bob Thornton is opening up about why.The “Fargo” actor, who shared no shortage of zany public displays of affection with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, recently opened up to GQ about why they were unable to make the relationship work. The former couple met on the set of the 1999 film “Pushing Tin” and were married a year later. And while Thornton and Jolie both loved wearing each other’s blood in a vial around their necks, the rest of their interests didn’t really align — she was passionate about working with the United Nations while he was more comfortable staying in and watching sports.“I never felt like I was good enough for her,” Thornton told the magazine, noting the glitz of Hollywood life has never been something he’s particularly enjoyed.“...I’m real uncomfortable around rich and important people,” he said, adding he didn’t have much desire to change or fit into that type of world anyway. “I like who I am.” In the end, a romp or two in the car on the way to a red carpet event wasn’t enough to save the pair and they split in 2003, months after announcing they’d adopt a child from Cambodia.Jolie went on with the process and officially adopted Maddox, now 15, who was at the center of recent Brad Pitt abuse claims that were dismissed.Thornton is now married to his sixth wife and long-time partner Connie Angland — the pair share a 12-year-old daughter, Bella, and are both drawn to a quieter lifestyle.

Brad Pitt filed his response to Angelina Jolie’s divorce filing on Friday, November 4. The actor is seeking joint physical and legal custody of their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, and cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce, documents obtained by Us Weekly show.Jolie, who is seeking sole custody of their children, first filed for divorce from her estranged husband on September 19. In his filing, Pitt lists their date of separation as September 15.Pitt’s filing comes just days after Us confirmed that the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has extended their investigation into the actor for alleged child abuse. According to a legal source, “it’s normal [for the DCFS] to extend past the deadline to complete their work when an agreement exists between the parties.” As previously reported, Jolie was prompted to file for divorce from Pitt, after more than a decade together, after he got into an alleged altercation while aboard their private plane with their son Maddox. (A source close to Pitt previously told Us that “the abuse suggestions are inaccurate,” and that Pitt is taking the investigation very seriously and is cooperating with authorities.) After going weeks without seeing his dad, Us exclusively revealed that Maddox refused to attend Pitt’s first monitored visit with his kids. “He chose not to go and stayed with Angie,” a source told Us at the time. “It wasn’t full of joy and happiness.”That said, Jolie “is not trying to poison the kids against Brad,” another source previously told Us. “She wants them to have a relationship with him once their health and safety is assured.” Jolie currently has full custody of the kids after the exes signed off on a temporary, voluntary custody arrangement.Us Weekly has reached out to both Pitt and Jolie’s reps.

Photos taken of Jolie in the 90s have emerged and for any of you with a fair amount of cash, prints are going on sale.We already have pictures of Angelina Jolie looking ridiculously beautiful; you only need to Google search to scroll through interminable numbers of them for free. But if you’ve got nearly £2,000 and an unchallengeable appreciation of her IMDB catalogue, you may purchase these new photos. Two extremely rare pictures of the star are going on sale today at London’s Zebra One Gallery. The beautiful images were shot by Kate Garner in 1995 just as Jolie was just getting attention from Hollywood directors, way before early cult film Girl, Interrupted exploded in 1999. According to the photographer, Jolie was fiercely independent in her direction of the shoot, tying her own legs together in an S&M pose with no instruction.“Angelina explored different poses without much direction from me,” explains Garner. “Including tying her legs together for what would become one of the most unique shots of her to ever be taken. She wasn’t afraid to experiment and be creative, which made for some absolutely beautiful photos."The photos were commissioned by ELLE US in an LA studio during the year she starred in her first slightly bigger movies, Hackers and Without Evidence.“I liked Angelina a lot, although it was a very conservative shoot,” says Garner. "She was quiet and incredibly intense, but she was also very gentle and extremely creative. She exuded class throughout, and knew how to put her own mark on it. It is still one of my favourite shoots.”She looks seriously good, right? The gallery will be selling a limited run of 50 prints pricedx at £1,800.
