'Skins' star Jack O'Connell has admitted he misses his friend Angelina Jolie who directed him in the war movie 'Unbroken. The 26-year-old actor was picked by the 44-year-old beauty to play the role of Louis Zamperini, an American athlete turned prisoner of war in World War II, and the two hit it off straight away, with the Hollywood actress even visiting a family of O'Connell's friend who died of liver cancer.Speaking to The Times newspaper, the 'Skins' actor said: "I miss her. She did a lot for me. She didn't owe that to anyone." Jack also said he learned a lot from his 'This Is England' co-star Stephen Graham. He said: "He goes away, walks like the character, talks like the character, and he turns up on the day and it looks effortless."He becomes the character, he doesn't act it. The hope is eventually I'll have a piece of work that says I can transform."I think they are the best kind of actors."Jack was rumoured to be played Alexander McQueen in a biopic but after a change of director it appears the young actor won't be starring as the fashion designer. However, he is soon to be starring alongside Sienna Miller in the West End revival of 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' and hopes to share the same bond he had with Angelina and Stephen. He said: "She's very pleasant to be around. We've got a good thing going on, I think."I just hope to Christ it lasts us for the whole run. It would be a nightmare if we ended up hating each other."His performance as Brick in the Tennessee Williams' play, which was adapted into a film starring Elizabeth Taylor in 1958, marks the third time he has performed on stage after starring in 'Scarborough' back in 2008 and 'The Nap' last year.

It’s been almost 14 years since there was a live-action version of Lara Croft on the big screen. That will all change in 2018 when the highly anticipated “Tomb Raider” reboot hits theaters and fans can properly stack it up against the originals.Alicia Vikander will take on the iconic character who originated in a series of video games that launched in 1996. However, non-gamers will recognize Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie as the last person to play Croft. Jolie starred in the 2001 “Tomb Raider” adaptation, as well as the 2003 sequel “The Cradle of Life.” Despite the large gap between the original and its reboot, Vikander is the first to acknowledge that she has some big shoes to fill.“I was surprised that my mum knew what ‘Tomb Raider’ was. That’s due to the fact that Angelina Jolie made Lara Croft such an icon,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “But this is a beautiful way of showing a very loved character from more angles.” The 28-year-old actress went on to describe how she feels the bar for female action characters has been raised since the release of “Wonder Woman.”“If ‘Wonder Woman’ made such an impact, which it deserves to, then we need to use ten times as much force to make some change. Because it needs to happen.”This isn’t the first time that the “Tomb Raider” franchise has received a reboot. In 2013, the games started from scratch with an origin story for the character, depicting her as a young adventurer in a gritty, survival story. A sequel was released in 2015 titled “Rise of the Tomb Raider.” According to the director, the film reboot has borrowed heavy inspiration from the new games.Speaking to GQ about the differences between the films, director Roar Uthaug drew the first comparison.“I’ve seen the films — they were a lot of fun and Angelina Jolie was a terrific Lara Croft. We are [making] a very different film, an origin story and I think fans will love Alicia in the role.” The new film is scheduled for a release in 2018.

To see ALL the Jolie-Pitt kids through through the years, click here. While the past year has definitely had its ups and downs for the whole Jolie-Pitt fam, the kids HAVE had their fair share of fun. Both Brad and Angie have made sure to spend quality time with Knox and Vivienne despite the tumultuous relationship they now have with each other. Back in January, Angelina took the twins on a shopping spree amidst her and Brad’s custody battle, and the threesome seemed to have a great day out and about together. Knox, Vivienne, and Angelina hit up the Malibu Country Mart mall, and during their outing, we couldn’t help noticing how much Knox looks like his famous dad! A few months later, in March, Angie took all the kids — including Knox and Vivienne — to Cambodia where they all got to attend the premiere of the actress’ film First They Killed My Father. On the family vacay, Angie was photographed enjoying a tuk tuk ride with her twins, and both children seemed to be having a good time. We can’t wait to see how Knox and Vivienne celebrate their special day this year, after all, last year they kept things pretty low-key. On their eighth b-day, Brad and Angie treated their youngsters to pancakes at The Griddle Café in West Hollywood.“Brad and Angelina made a big fuss over the two kids. Everyone was in a great, happy mood,” an eyewitness at the café EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com at the time. “They seemed happy, like a normal family… [Vivienne] was cute and excited that it was her special day.” Aw! And while their parents are no longer together THIS year, we have a feeling neither Brad nor Angie would miss their twins’ big day for the world! HBD, Vivienne and Knox!
