Angelina Jolie Casts Son Maddox, 14, In ‘First They Killed My Father’: Their First Film Together

There might just be another movie star in the Jolie-Pitt family! According to a new report, Angelina Jolie has cast her 14-year-old son, Maddox, in her next directorial project, ‘First They Killed My Father.’ Find out more about the mother-son collaboration here! Now that Angelina Jolie, 40, has finished By the Sea — her second film with hubby Brad Pitt, 51 — she’s ready to bring more family into her work life! For her next project, she’s directing a Netflix biography called First They Killed My Father, and she has allegedly cast her son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 14, in a role. This is not only Maddox’s opportunity to prove he has picked up the same acting chops as his famous parents, but also his chance to show the world who he really is! Angelina’s project is an amazing choice for Maddox’s breakout role, as the movie is based in Cambodia, where Maddox was born. The film is a bit of a darker one, centered around the deadly reign of ruler Khmer Rough in the 1970s, but a source told OK! magazine that Maddox is just excited to be in a movie!“[Maddox] has been desperate to get into acting,” the insider told the outlet. “This is a dream come true for him. He’s read the book the film’s based on and speaks the language. It’s a perfect fit.”
Although First They Killed My Father would be the first major role for Maddox, he has already had a little experience working alongside his parents — Maddox actually had a nonspeaking role as a zombie in Brad’s sci-fi flick World War Z! This also isn’t the first time Angelina has worked with one of their children, either. Brangelina’s daughter Vivenne, 7, played 5-year-old Aurora in Maleficent in 2014. It seems like Brad and Angelina’s incredible careers are rubbing off on their kids, and we certainly don’t mind!No further details about the movie have been revealed, but if Maddox really is starring in Angelina’s film, we can’t wait to see them work together. While Shiloh/John Jolie-Pitt has yet to comment on his/her own gender identity, we will be using gender neutral “their/they" pronouns out of respect.Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may be two of Hollywood’s most accepting parents.According to a new report by Radar Online, the parents-of-six have consulted with a transgender expert to address their nine-year-old child Shiloh’s reported gender dysmorphia.Angelina, Shiloh and her sister Zahara. “Brad and Angelina were only coming from a place of love and only wanting the best for Shiloh,” a source explains. “They want Shiloh to feel loved and secure.” In 2008, the Oscar-nominated actor, 51, told Oprah Winfrey that Shiloh preferred to go by the name John — a decision they supported.And now the parents want to make sure Shiloh isn’t just a “tomboy” and wasn't influenced into wearing suits — rather than dresses — by older brothers, Maddox, 14, and Pax, 11.“Brad was told Shiloh would have gravitated towards dressing as a boy, and being called John, even if [their] siblings were all girls,” the source explains.“It’s just the way Shiloh is.” While Angelina, 40, and Brad have both been “very accepting” of their child, the source is quick to note they are still a child — and neither Shiloh, nor either of their parents, have concretely labeled them as “transgender.” “Shiloh could be a tomboy and as a teenager could become the most girly girl,” the source says. “There are no concrete answers. Angelina Jolie Pitt took her children on a cultural excursion to London's West End theater district on Saturday for a performance of beloved fantasy musical Wicked.Spotted exiting the Apollo Theatre after "one short day in the Emerald City," the Maleficent actress had at least four of her six children in tow – Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 8, and twins, Knox and Vivienne, both 7.One fellow theatergoer tweeted that the actress's husband, Pitt, was also in attendance. However, he was not spotted leaving the theater with the rest of the group."Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt with their kids 6 rows in front of us at the theatre seeing Wicked!" the user wrote.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's 7-year-old son, Knox, got his dad all to himself on Sunday, Aug. 30, when the two hit up the MotoGP World Championship in Northampton, England, sans Jolie and the rest of the couple's brood, including Knox's twin, Vivienne.The father-son duo enjoyed some quality one-on-one bonding time while taking in the action at the British Grand Prix. They were photographed watching the race together amid the crowd, and even posing with some of the racers.The By the Sea actor, 51, kept it casual in a black shirt and a gray newsboy cap, while his look-alike, youngest son sported a blue windbreaker and green safety headphones to protect his little ears.Pitt was at the event to promote his upcoming documentary Hitting the Apex, about the fastest racers in the world. He produced and narrates the film, which opens in the UK on Sept. 2."First of all, I want to say it's great to be here at Silverstone. Pitt and his family have been spending an increasing amount of time across the pond in recent months. "Angie wants to slowly immerse herself in E.U. politics," a source told Us of the Maleficent actress and mom of six, who devotes much of her time to philanthropy and is also a Special Envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.The A-list couple even had tea with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, in late June. According to a bombshell new report from The National Enquirer, one of the issues that is tearing Brad and Angie apart is their 10 year old adopted daughter Zahara. Angelina is a basket case, and making everyone in the Jolie-Pitt house’s lives a living hell because she is scared that Zahara’s birth mother could take the child back, and Zahara wants to go!Angelia Jolie’s adoption of Zahara when she was just six months old has always been surrounded by scandal and controversy. Zahara was malnourished and on her death bed when Angie brought her back to the US, and nursed her back to health. It was originally reported that Zahara’s 18 year old mother died from AIDS, so she was an orphan. However, after the adoption had been finalized Zahara’s mother Mentewab Dawit came forward and revealed that she had not died, and her family gave her daughter away to be adopted because she ran away from home and they could no longer care for her.There has always been doubts about the validity of Zahara’s adoption after it was revealed that her birth mother was actually alive – and now that Zahara is older, she keeps telling Angelina that she wants to go home to Ethiopia to live with her “real mother.” That’s not unusual for adopted children, but it is concerning for Angelina since Zahara’s mother is very much alive – and it is unclear whether her adoption is even legitimate.
Brad and Angelina can’t seem to see eye to eye on how to raise their six children. An inside source dished to National Enquirer, “The kids flipped out when Vivienne landed a role in her mother’s film “Malificent.” Yet another bone of contention is that Shiloh has been tagging along with her mother on humanitarian work around the globe. Brad believes that Angie may be putting Shiloh in danger by taking her to refugee camps. Add this to Zahara’s desire to return to Ethiopia and it could set off the fight to end all fights.” It really is no surprise that Brad and Angelina are caving under the pressure of raising their six very different kids.
