This past summer, months before Angelina Jolie stunned the world by splitting from Brad Pitt, the Oscar-winning actress offered a rare update about the couple’s six children. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox have spent their young lives in a rarified, creative cocoon—jetting around the world; passing time on many a film set; making movie cameos; and learning from teachers of different backgrounds and religions. So it did not surprise anyone that the children’s extracurriculars were as impressive as their C.V.’s.“None of my kids want to be actors,” Jolie told an interviewer this June. “They are actually very interested in being musicians. I think they like the process of film from the outside. Mad is interested in editing. Pax loves music and deejaying.”And now Shiloh seems to be honing another film-adjacent hobby these days: photography.“Shiloh is very interested in photography,” an “insider” tells Us Weekly, before describing in suspicious detail how Jolie and her daughter stopped by an L.A. photography store on Sunday to inspect its merchandise.“Angelina asked to look at some of the vintage camera,” the source continues. “Angelina inspected the cameras from many different angles and was asking questions. Shiloh was listening intently and paying close attention.”The detailed report goes on: “Angelina told Shiloh she would love to get her the camera and asked her, ‘Are you satisfied?’ She told Shiloh it even had black and white, which was a nice added feature. Shiloh nodded her head but didn’t talk much. She really listened to Angelina and deferred to her on everything.”Shiloh is not the first Pitt-Jolie member to develop a fondness for photography. In 2008, Jolie told W magazine about supporting Brad Pitt’s habit, telling the magazine that she bought him a Littman 45 Single camera for Christmas. The magazine published personal photos Pitt took of his family.Jolie later said, “I love his photography. . .Some people have a hobby, and they find the quickest way to it and are very pleased with the outcome right away. But he’s someone who will really study the camera—he’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it. And he’s very critical of his own work. I’ll see a photograph and think it’s amazing, but he’ll see all the different reasons why it can be better, and he’ll work very, very hard to improve it.”The Pitt-Jolie children have hobbies far beyond the camera though. This past summer, Jolie detailed her children’s additional interests, explaining, “All the kids are learning different languages. . .I asked them what languages they wanted to learn and Shi is learning Khmai, which is a Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, Z is speaking French, Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language.”“I suppose that just means you don’t know who your children are until they show you who they are and they are just becoming whoever they want to be,” Jolie said.Last summer, Jolie confirmed that she and her eldest son, Maddox, are making a movie for Netflix together.

Our Kids Are Still Traumatized ... We Need a Specialist

Angelina Jolie is imploring Brad Pitt to help find a new professional to help them and their children deal with the "trauma" of what happened on their private jet 3 months ago.Angelina's attorney fired off an email to Brad's legal team on December 1, proposing they "participate in joint sessions with a trauma specialist so that they may learn how to best support and interact with their children."The request makes it clear -- Jolie thinks the kids are so bad off because of what they witnessed on the plane, and the therapy process they've been going through isn't getting the job done. As we've reported, both sides agreed in September to attend family therapy sessions as part of their temporary custody agreement.Another sign the situation is still dire -- in docs, Brad's attorney suggested their 2 eldest boys, Maddox and Pax, might not want to visit with their dad.One source tells us the boys walked out of one session in the past, and have refused to attend others. It's important to note ... DCFS closed out its investigation after concluding Brad did nothing that warranted official action. DCFS could have referred the case to dependency court if it felt the kids were in danger, or recommended criminal prosecution ... it did neither. It's unclear if he's responded to Angelina's request.

Staff at the Vietnamese orphanage where Angelina Jolie adopted her son Pax are holding out hope for another visit from the star, a report has claimed.Tam Binh Orphanage staff member Nguyen Kim Xuyen said that she 'never' hears from the Maleficent star but would love to make contact. The government-funded orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam's south, is reportedly in dire need of money to feed the children it cares for. When the 41-year-old adopted Pax in 2007 she allegedly told staff 'I'll be back'.Nguyen still believes that Jolie will pay them another visit one day.Everyone is looking forward to them returning to Tam Binh. We will meet again some day,' Nguyen reportedly said.It is not suggested that Jolie is under any obligation to visit again. Born Pham Quang Sang, Jolie renamed her son Pax Thien Jolie in 2007.When she picked up Pax in 2007, Jolie told Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper, according to a translation in the Associated Press: 'I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life.'I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother.'Everyone would agree that children need to have a family. I have the ability to help children fulfill that desire. Why should I say no?'Pax was three years old when he was adopted by Jolie after she applied to be his main carer through an agency in the US.Abandoned at birth by a drug addict mother, he was called Pham Quang Sang before being renamed by Jolie. Pax is Latin for peace and Thien is Vietnamese for heaven. At nearly four, he was the oldest child Jolie had adopted. She was already the adoptive mother to Maddox, from Cambodia, and Zahara from Ethiopia.Jolie and now-estranged husband Brad Pitt took Pax back to Vietnam for a visit in 2011.The then couple, who have three biological children and three adopted, have always said they want their children to remain in touch with their home countries. On Friday, Jolie publicly surfaced for the first time since she filed for divorce from Pitt.n a recorded video message for the International Criminal Court she spoke about the Dutch-based tribunal's launch of its policy on children.'Successful prosecution, whether at the ICC or elsewhere is part of the long and vital generational effort. That is the light in which I believe the court's new policy on children should be seen,' the Oscar winner said in a clip captured on Twitter.'I particularly welcome the commitment to include charges for crimes against children wherever the evidence permits as part of a more systematic approach. I congratulate the office of the chief prosecutor, and all those working on the policy.'The Special Envoy for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees also stated: 'Mankind owes to children. We know we aren't giving the best to children.'Jolie is requesting full custody of her and Pitt's six children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne & Knox, 8.Jolie's agent and lawyer have been contacted for comment.

No shared turkey this year. Brad Pitt won't be celebrating Thanksgiving with Angelina Jolie and their six kids, contrary to reports, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly."Angelina did not invite Brad to spend Thanksgiving with their kids," a source tells Us.As Us exclusively revealed, Pitt, 52, has only seen the pair's children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — three times since Jolie, 41, filed for divorce on September 19 after two years of marriage."He’s crushed," an insider told Us last week. "Brad has been deferential on what’s best for them and limits their stress." A Jolie source, however, claims that the kids didn't "warm up to him" during the monitored visits.Last year, in happier times, Pitt told Extra that he's the one that cooks during the holidays. "We've got Thanksgiving, man — I'm all over that turkey," he said at the time.As previously reported, Pitt and Jolie continue to share legal custody while the Maleficent actress has temporary physical custody. Since the split, she and the kids have been staying out of the spotlight in Malibu.Pitt, meanwhile, has been traveling around the world to promote his upcoming drama Allied. On Tuesday, one day after the film's London premiere, the FBI said that the actor won't face any charges over an alleged plane altercation with Maddox.
