It's her first Mother's Day since starting a new life as a single mom.But Angelina Jolie certainly seems to be adjusting to her new world, spending a quiet Sunday strolling around Malibu with her children.The actress joined ten-year-old Shiloh, and eight-year-olds Vivienne and Knox as they took their dog for a walk around the streets near their luxury estate.Casually dressed for the day in the heat, Angelina wore an all black outfit of a dress and blazer, protecting herself from the sun with a khaki page boy hat. Not seen were her three oldest children - 12-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Pax and 15-year-old Maddox.Angelina has primary custody of her six children following her split from estranged husband Brad Pitt last year.And the children are sure to have made every effort to make the day a special one for their devoted mother.Indeed later in the day she was seen enjoying some one on one time with son Pax, with the two heading to TAO Asian Bistro in Los Angeles. A source told DailyMail.com: 'Angelina appeared in high-spirits and seemed amused by the restaurant's geisha-shaped chopstick rests which say, Stolen from TAO underneath.'But while the 41-year-old loves nothing more than her children's company, her happiness was sure to have been tempered by her grief for her own mother, Marcheline Bertrand.Angelina lost her mother to cancer in 2007, leaving her devastated.Meanwhile her estranged husband is busy promoting his new movie War Machine - and in so doing so is opening up about the split.Talking to AP, the actor explained: 'I've got no secrets. I've got nothing to hide. We're human and I find the human condition very interesting. If we're not talking about it, then we're not getting better.'The 53-year-old added that he and Angelina were: 'figuring out the new configuration of our family.''Kids are everything,' he said. 'Kids are your life. They're taking all the focus, as they should anyway.'Of his recovery following the split, Bra added: 'I'm not suicidal or something. There's still much beauty in the world and a lot of love. 'And a lot of love to be given. It's all right. It's just life.'

And Angelina Jolie spent part of her evening with one of her six children - her son Pax.The actress, 41, and her teenage son, 13, were spotted at the restaurant Beauty & Essex in Los Angeles on Sunday.Angelina looked chic and elegant in an LBD with lace sleeves as she stepped out beside her casually dressed son, Pax. The actress wore her brunette locks down in a sleek and straight style and kept her makeup to a minimum.She polished off her classy look with a pair of pointed black heels and dressed the look up with a pretty pair of earrings. The By The Sea actress carried a petite black quilted purse and added a pop of color with her bold red manicure.Her son, meanwhile, kept things casual in a black jacket, flannel shirt, and top.Pax has five other siblings: Maddox, 15, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.Jolie had adopted Maddox from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002, when he was less than a year old and she was married to Billy Bob Thornton.Her first divorce was finalized in 2003, and in mid-2005, she adopted Zahara from an orphanage in Addis Ababa. Angelina and Brad welcomed their first biological child, Shiloh, in 2006 and she adopted Pax from Vietnam in 2007.Brad has adopted Zahara, Pax, and Maddox. In 2008, Angelina gave birth to the couple's biological twins, Knox and Vivienne, in the south of France. Six years later, Angelina and Brad married, but after two years of matrimony and 12 as a couple, the pair made the shock decision to split last autumn.

How sweet! Angelina Jolie and son Pax Jolie-Pitt, 13, headed out to lunch for a sweet mother-son bonding afternoon in Los Angeles. The lunch date comes two weeks after his first visit with all his siblings to dad Brad Pitt’s home, and they looked like they were having a really nice time! Angelina Jolie, 41, spent some quality one-on-one time with her second eldest child, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 13, on April 30. The mother and son duo were spotted heading out to lunch in Los Angeles along the Pacific Coast Highway at a fancy restaurant overlooking the ocean. How nice! Pax looked totally cool in a camouflage utility jacket and a sleek asymmetrical haircut — long on one side, and shaved on the other. So awesome! Angelina stuck with her chic but casual style: all black, big sunglasses, and simple diamond stud earrings.Angelina’s been spending a ton of time with her six kids separately after filing for divorce from their father, Brad Pitt, 53, in September 2016. It’s all about showering them with attention and meeting their needs without doting on the five other kids at the same time. What a smart move! Just six days ago, Angelina took daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10, who’s very into the arts, shopping at a music store. They went home with a brand new ukulele for the young creative. Fun! She’s also gone shopping with daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 12, the family’s little fashionista.It’s good to see Angelina and Pax together, because their relationship has been a little rocky since her split with his dad. They could basically walk back and forth if they wanted to! Pax must be a little less angry with his mother, seeing as at one point he reportedly begged to live with Brad instead of with her. Both Pax and Shiloh allegedly told their mom that they’d rather be with her ex because they felt a better connection with dad, according to OK! magazine. The former couple have apparently come to a place where all the kids are happier. What a relief! Brad even had the kids over for dinner for the first time since Angelina filed for temporary full custody.
