Angelina Jolie has recently had to adjust to her oldest son Maddox being clear on the other side of the world.The Maleficent star recently dropped the 18-year-old off in South Korea for his freshman year of college.But the mom celebrated Labor Day with three of her other kids, taking them out to lunch in West Hollywood on Monday.Jolie, 44, stepped out after lunch at Fig & Olive with son Pax, 15, daughter Zahara, 14, and Shiloh, 13.The Tomb Raider star looked ethereal in a sheer white ankle-length dress with long billowy sleeves.It was belted with a rust brown leather belt, which gave the look a boho chic aesthetic.She completed the ensemble with a pair of silver-framed sunglasses and some white leather slip-on sandals with metal accents.The mother of six carried a large brown leather handbag over her shoulder as they left the restaurant.She seemed to be enjoying her children's company as they shared a laugh while walking to their car.Not present were Maddox or hers and ex-husband Brad Pitt's 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.She recently admitted that she still hasn't stopped ugly crying since dropping Maddox off at Yonsei University in Seoul last month.While promoting her upcoming superhero film at the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim last weekend, ET asked if she'd stopped crying yet.She admitted she hadn't with a laugh, adding: 'Oh my god, an embarrass your children ugly cry! 'I also, just at some point, had the big [sun]glasses and the amount of times I turned and waved. I do know it was the one moment in my life I think I turned around six times before the airport just... 'And he sweetly stayed and kept waving, knowing that I was going to keep turning around. You could feel he knew he couldn't leave.' She also revealed that her other children shared in her emotions: 'What was very beautiful is the way everybody said goodbye. When it was time to take him to the airport — some jumped into the car to take him.'When you know that your kids love each other and you see the way they all — without any kind of prompting or pushing — give each other notes, hug each other, take each other, support each other, then you feel like they’re going to be okay and they’re always going to have each other.' In a video shared to social media, she was fighting back tears when she dropped Maddox off at school.The Oscar-winning actress appeared emotional but proud as she agreed to be photographed with several students.

Angelina admitted she was 'really proud' of Maddox and 'excited about his choices' in life - but she couldn't promise she wouldn't be back on a plane to visit him within a few weeks.The star, who will return to our screens this autumn in Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, said her six children are showing no signs of following her into acting, and they all have very diverse interests.She has been enjoying training for her new movies, which include Marvel's The Eternal, by getting involved in her kids' extra curricular classes.'My son Knox does some weapons [classes] and Viv does karate, so I've been jumping into all their classes', she said.'I'm the mum that keeps showing up! Speaking to E! News, she explained: 'I'm like everybody and... especially these last few years haven't been the easiest, and I haven't felt very strong. 'There's something when you're not feeling very strong, where you push yourself', she bravely added.
However, the Tomb Raider actress insisted that the training she is doing for her role as Thena in the new Marvel movie The Eternals is helping her to push herself to be strong.She added: 'Sometimes you really feel low and you gotta pull it back up. Right now, for Thena, I'm having to do so much training and she's so positive, so healthy and she's so aggressive that I'm often like, "This is not gonna work." 'But, you gotta push yourself. And I'm so grateful that I have the opportunity to play these kind of characters, that pull out every bit of strength I have and that remind me that I can be strong.Angelina also revealed that her children have been getting involved in the training. She said: 'Some of them have been around in doing [training].'My son Knox does some weapon [training] and karate. I've been jumping into all of their classes. I'm the mom that keeps trying to show up. But it's been fun and really good.' Angelina has a pair of high-profile films on tap: Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which co-stars Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer; and The Eternals, the Marvel Universe ensemble that puts her in a cast including Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani and Kit Harington. She said of co-star Elle at the industry event, 'I love her, I feel very, very close to her,' according to Entertainment Tonight.She also revealed that she'd just learned that Game of Thrones star Kit was cast in the The Eternals, a day after Marvel Studios announced the actor had involvement in the project at the expo.'I still think we're seeing each other behind the scenes, like, "Did you hear?"' she said. The star told college students that she was 'trying not to cry' as she left him.The teen, who Angelina adopted from Cambodia in 2002 and her then partner Pitt legally adopted four years later, is very close to his mom, according to a Us Weekly source.However, the 55-year-old actor's relationship with Maddox has been strained since they reportedly got into a heated altercation three years ago on a private plane the family were traveling in.After marrying in 2014, Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016, shortly after the altercation. A judge only declared the actress 'legally single' in April 2019. Maddox reportedly doesn't think of the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star as his father.
