Angelina Jolie is the first to admit Mother's Day makes her emotional."It does mean a lot to moms, so try not to forget it," she tells Extra while promoting her upcoming film Those Who Wish Me Dead.Jolie, 45, is mom to six children — Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12 — and she says they consistently hit it out of the park on the annual holiday."My kids have always been amazing at Mother's Day. The fun for me is that I don't plan anything, I don't do anything, and they all tend to work together to surprise me with something," she explains. "It is just the knowing that they are doing something together and thinking of something together, and that they want to and that they think it is important always makes me cry." "They always joke about how quickly it makes me cry," says Jolie. "They will laugh at how many times I cry in the day or how quickly I cry. … 'Oh, there she goes!' " In the March issue of British Vogue, Jolie said it's a "big deal" in her mind if her kids "accept me." She explained, "I mean, that's the thing for a lot of mothers, and for a lot of parents regardless. But I think even more so if you have adopted children. They have to choose you too. It's not the parents' family and they're in it. It's our family." Jolie also offered advice to other parents hoping to raise socially conscious humans."I know this may sound strange, but don't make it a duty for them to do good or have to give back," she said. "If we can help children feel that it's not about duty or service or charity, but the joy of an interconnected life with people you respect, then it feels very different."

Angelina Jolie was seen spending time with her children Zahara and Pax in West Hollywood on Thursday evening.The 45-year-old actress and two of her eldest adopted kids were seen taking a short stroll together after finishing up a shared sushi dinner at one of their usual hangouts.Jolie wore a flowing black dress that fell to the middle of her shins while spending time with two of her children.She paired her outfit choice with a matching set of sandals and carried a large coat with her in case the cool springtime weather grew any colder.Her gorgeous brunette hair fell onto her shoulders.Jolie, Zahara and Pax all wore facial coverings to keep themselves protected from COVID-19 while spending time in public.The actress shares a total of six children with her estranged husband Brad Pitt, from whom she began a highly-publicized relationship with after they costarred in the 2005 action comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith.She first adopted her son Maddox, aged 19, with her former husband, Billy Bob Thornton, in 2002, although she later raised him as a single mother for a period of time.The performer went on to welcome several other children into her home, including Zahara and Pax. Jolie and Pitt's final additions to their family, daughter Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox, were their only biological offspring. The actor's outing comes amid her ongoing custody battle with her estranged husband. The couple tied the knot in 2014 after several years of dating, before separating in 2016.The couple's split kicked off a still-ongoing custody battle concerning the welfare of their adopted and biological children.Earlier this year, Jolie filed legal paperwork alleging that the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood subjected her and the couple's kids to acts of domestic abuse during the span of their relationship.The actress agreed to provide testimony to back up her claims, and noted that several of her children would do the same.In March, the couple's eldest child, Maddox, appeared in court to give his opinion on the matter and did not paint his estranged father in a positive light.Shortly after the 19-year-old told the authorities about his perception of the actor's behavior, a source spoke to Us Weekly and noted that what was stated in court did not bode well for the performer's future. 'Maddox has already given testimony as [an] adult in the ongoing custody dispute and it wasn’t very flattering toward Brad,' they said.'He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support,' the source added.

In a recent People interview Angelina said Hannah 'carries a lot of guilt, and is quite broken. But on Monday the 45-year-old actress was seen spending quality time with daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 12, as they hit up a Forever21 in Hollywood. The Girl, Interrupted star looked chic in a beige trench coat over an all black ensemble as she strolled out of the store with her arms around her daughter. Angelina's stylish getup featured black dress pants and a pair of black sandals with a bow detail. She carried a nude bag with a gold chain around her shoulder and was suited up in a grey face mask.Vivienne looked casual in sneakers and black shorts with a white crew neck sweatshirt. She draped her arm lovingly around her mom's neck, while their security guard carried a bag of new threads.Angelina and Pitt have been at war over their kids for five years, Pitt striving for 50/50 custody with Jolie wanting full physical custody. They announced their split in 2016 and were legally divorced in 2019, but things are far from amicable between the pair as she continues to allege abuse. Court documents obtained by The Blast indicate that on March 12 Jolie said she and her children are willing to testify as 'proof and authority in support' of domestic violence. As kids Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, are minors, both Brad and Angelina would need to grant permission for them to testify but Maddox, Zahara and Pax are all over 18 so would be free to make statements. Additionally the children have all been interviewed by court-appointed therapists. Allegations of abuse first surfaced shortly after Jolie filed for divorce, and the LAPD looked into an incident involving the Fight Club actor and son Maddox on a private jet. He was never arrested or charged with any wrongdoing and there have been no police reports filed with regards to spousal abuse. A source told Page Six that Angelina's decision to offer testimony on the basis of abuse has been shattering to Pitt. 'Brad is heartbroken that Angelina has gone that route. There's a lot of emotion left after their marriage. He has taken responsibility for his actions and owned up to his past issues, he's stopped drinking.'The insider added 'His camp feels this leak was calculated to sway opinion ahead of the conclusion of their trial,' which is set for next month.
