Angelina Jolie was supported by daughter Zahara while attending the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday. The Maria star, 49, looked in good spirits, after finalizing her bitter divorce from Brad Pitt, 61, as she smiled for the cameras at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The actress — who was recently seen for the first time since her and Pitt's eight-year divorce battle concluded — made a striking entrance in a floor-length black halter-neck gown. She accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels, including gold hoop and bezel set diamond drop earrings, and an oval diamond and ebony ring by Antonia Miletto. The beauty — who is set to walk away $80 million richer after the divorce — completed her look with pointed-toe black heels, and wore her long tresses in a straight style. Meanwhile Zahara, 19, who seemingly dropped her famous father's last name last year, looked chic in a sleeveless white lace gown. Earlier on Friday, the Maleficent actress — who recently stated that she hates 'liars' — flashed a cheerful smile as she made a grand arrival to the event for a screening of her critically acclaimed movie, Maria. Her appearance came just days after it was revealed both she and Brad finalized their 'horrendous' divorce — although the former couple's battle of their French vineyard is still ongoing.During the festivities, Angelina — who 'hopes Brad will stop attacking her' — was also honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress. The biographical drama, Maria — which was directed by Pablo Larrain — officially dropped on Netflix last month in December.Jolie has since garnered praise for her performance as the late opera singer, Maria Callas - and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama. Not present on Friday were Angelina's other five children. Jolie and Pitt, best known as 'Brangelina', share three biological children - Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16 - as well as their adopted children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, and Zahara. Since their parents' bitter split, Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne have all dropped Pitt from their last name. It has been reported that Maddox and Pax do not talk to their father - while it is believed that Knox and Vivienne still speak with the Fight Club star, though they have not been pictured with him in several years. Their bitter custody battle over their six children ended with Angelina retaining primary physical custody of their brood. Brad was granted visitation rights. The actor had originally sought a 50/50 arrangement relating to their six kids, but an insider told DailyMail.com in March this year that he was no longer contesting the matter.Court documents filed in 2018 showed that Brad has paid Angelina — who has a promising new project set for early 2025 — at least $9 million in child support.
The children have reportedly not had any contact with Brad's wider family either, including his parents - William, 84, and Jane Pitt, 83.'Brad Pitt's parents have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for around eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina,' an insider previously told DailyMail.com.Last week Jolie and Pitt reached a settlement in their divorce.Eight years after Angelina filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences', the former couple have finally come to an agreement on terms and both have signed off on it.A source told DailyMail.com that Brad — who met Angelina while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004 — is 'relieved that this weight is finally lifted from him. He is no longer bound in any way to his marriage with Angelina. She has really put him through the ringer and he is just glad this portion is done.'Angelina's attorney told DailyMail.com of the divorce: 'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt.'She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.'This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.' Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in September 2016 after just two years of marriage. It came just days after a journey on a private plane in which Angelina claimed Brad was abusive to her and their six children but authorities did not charge him after investigating. They were declared legally single in 2019 but have battled over custody and legal issues over their French estate and winery, Château Miraval, since the split.Brad has since got into a serious relationship with Ines de Ramon who he has been romantically linked to since 2022.Although they kept their relationship private, in recent months they have made several red carpet appearances together and Brad is said to be 'in love' with the 32-year-old beauty.'Brad is so grateful that he gets to leave all of this in the past as he starts a new year,' the insider tells DailyMail.com.'It is true that he wants to take his relationship with Ines to the next level but they are not in any rush to do so. She is thrilled for him and has been super supportive of him through all of this.'

Angelina Jolie was seen for the first time since finalizing her bitter divorce battle with ex Brad Pitt while attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday. The Maleficent actress, 49 - who walked away $80 million richer following her eight-year divorce from Pitt - flashed a cheerful smile as she made a grand arrival to the event for a screening of her critically acclaimed movie, Maria. Her appearance comes just days after it was revealed both she and Brad finalized their 'horrendous' divorce - although the former couple's battle of their French vineyard is still ongoing.Jolie put on a chic display wearing a cream-colored blazer that was buttoned at the front as well as a pair of matching trousers. She added a plain shirt underneath and slipped into a pair of nude-colored heels to complete the overall look.Angelina's long locks were parted to the side, and effortlessly flowed down straight past her shoulders. The star opted for minimal accessories to allow her outfit to be the main focal point, and added a pair mini earrings. While strolling outdoors, the Hollywood actress also sported a pair of black shades for a stylish flare. Jolie paused for a brief photo session on the red carpet and also sent a friendly wave towards fans that waited outside the venue. During the festivities, Angelina was also honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress. The biographical drama, Maria - which was directed by Pablo Larrain - officially dropped on Netflix last month in December.Jolie has since garnered praise for her performance as the late opera singer, Maria Callas - and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama. While the star has continued to pursue her passion for acting, Angelina recently opened up about one of her secret talents: flying planes.
During an interview with W Magazine published on Friday, she discussed how her son Maddox, 23, is also a pilot. Since a little child, he had an interest in planes - which had initially inspired the star to learn to fly. In December 2004, she got her piloting license and bought a Cirrus SR22-G2 single-engine plane. While talking to the outlet, Jolie admitted that she was not 'nervous' about her son flying planes. 'Maybe I just have a big family. I worry more that people aren't finding themselves and something they love,' she stated. 'I think that's more dangerous, to walk so tentatively through life that you don’t take a risk. You don't wake up with passion. I think that's scarier. I'd rather they be out there trying and failing than not pushing and being passionate.'Angelina shares Maddox, as well as Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, with ex Brad Pitt. Maddox was also recently seen working on set of his mother's new film, Stitches, in Paris last month in December. It came shortly after DailyMail.com reported that he is working as the third assistant director on the movie. He notably enrolled at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea - but has since been seen stepping his foot into the film industry. Jolie is no stranger to collaborating with her children on her own projects, and recently worked with Maddox and Pax on the biopic Maria. While previously speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in August, she further reflected on her kids having the chance to gain experience on set.'Mad and Pax were on this one. Doing AD [assistant directing] work. They've done that quite a few times, and I think that's good for them,' she stated.'Pax tends to do stills and he gets brought in, and [director] Pablo was wonderful and recognized that he was good at it.'
Late last month before New Year's Eve, it was revealed that Angelina and Brad had reached a divorce settlement following a lengthy, eight-year battle. The actress's lawyer told DailyMail.com that she is 'relieved this one part is over. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted.''More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.' Another insider shared that Jolie has 'been trying hard to be light after a dark time' and 'doesn't speak ill of him publicly or privately.''The kids have grown up seeing that some people have so much power and privilege that their voices don't matter. Their pain doesn't count.''They have wanted her to speak up for herself, to defend herself over these years but she reminds them to focus on changing laws over telling public stories,' the source continued. Other insiders also revealed to MailOnline the main reason Pitt wanted to reach a settlement and finalize his divorce from Angelina. Brad has since moved on with Ines de Ramon - whom he began dating back in 2022.'They are looking to get married in the next year and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead,' a source said on New Year's Eve. 'Apparently Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible.' 'Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet,' another source shared. 'Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines.'
The insider continued, 'He will hope that he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalized, but that looks like a long hard road.' On Angelina's side, she is 'hoping Brad Pitt will stop attacking her' after the 'horrendous' divorce battle. A source told People late last month, 'Angelina hopes the finalization of their divorce will enable him to move on, stop attacking her, and instead help heal their family.' 'Brad has successfully used his power and his privilege to cover up his conduct at his family’s expense, to punish Angelina for leaving, and even to attempt to paint her as the reason why his relationship is so challenging with the children.' Another insider also informed the outlet that, 'These last eight years have been such a horrendous time for her and her family.' But a separate source close to Brad shared, 'Jolie has engaged in one-sided attacks for the past eight years, including a never-ending distortion of facts.''And projecting their own behavior onto others, causing tremendous collateral damage to those in and around the family.'Following the divorce settlement, both Brad and Ines de Ramon had the chance to celebrate by enjoying a winter getaway to Carmel, California. A source told People that the actor 'loves it up there' and added that, 'It's very private for them.' Ines had reportedly 'influenced' Pitt to take the step to finalize the divorce from Angelina - following their split in 2016.

Angelina Jolie is set to walk away $80 million richer after dragging Brad Pitt 'through the ringer' in their eight-year divorce battle. The A-list stars, who met while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, finalized their divorce this week despite their bitter court battle over Chateau Miraval - the French chateau and vineyard they once jointly owned - still ongoing. A source told DailyMail.com that Brad, 61, is 'relieved that this weight is finally lifted from him. He is no longer bound in any way to his marriage with Angelina. She has really put him through the ringer and he is just glad this portion is done.' Brad - who makes $20 to $30 million per movie, has several multi-million business ventures and sponsorship deals, a vast real estate portfolio, and other lucrative investments - has a net worth of $400 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Angelina, 49, is still one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, earning between $20 million and $35 million per film, Cosmopolitan reported. She also launched her own arts and fashion collective, Atelier Jolie, last year, but little is known about the company's finances. The former spouses signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their 2014 marriage that stated in the event of a divorce, they agreed to keep the individual assets that they each had prior to their marriage and split their joint capital. However, it appears that the divorce itself has proved to be quite lucrative for the Maria actress. Two years after their split, in 2018, Brad loaned Angelina $8 million to buy the Los Angeles mansion that she currently lives in. At the time he had paid over $1.3 million in bills for her and their six kids - Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.A source has since told DailyMail.com: 'Jolie will be repaying the $8 million house loan by January 31.' In 2021, Angelina sold a Winston Churchill painting for $11.5 million at an auction for Christie's. The painting, titled Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque, was a gift to Angelina by Brad and is believed to be Churchill's only World War II-era landscape. The bulk of her post-divorce earnings came in 2021, when she sold 50 percent of the Château Miraval estate to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division the Stoli Group, for $64 million. 'They purchased Miraval with the intent of keeping it 100 percent in the family,' a source close to Brad said. 'They were going to hand this down for their children so that one day they could run the business, and it would provide all of them a lucrative and stable future.'DailyMail.com reached out to reps for Brad and Angelina.
Angelina's attorney told DailyMail.com of the divorce: 'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. 'She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.'This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.'Brad and Angelina did purchase a home together in the New Orleans French quarter in 2007 for $3.5 million, but according to velvetropers.com sold it after their divorce for $4.9 million. The couple also reportedly shared a superyacht, which they purchased for $323 million in 2014, the Mirror reported at the time. The name of the vessel was not released publicly and it is unclear if the pair ever sold it.Currently, PBrad does not have communication with any of the kids. Their bitter custody battle over their six children ended with Angelina retaining primary physical custody of their brood. Brad was granted visitation rights. The actor had originally sought a 50/50 arrangement relating to their six kids, but an insider told DailyMail.com in March this year that he was no longer contesting the matter.Court documents filed in 2018 showed that Brad has paid Angelina at least $9 million in child support. The children have reportedly not had any contact with Brad's wider family either, including his parents - William, 84, and Jane Pitt, 83. 'Brad Pitt's parents have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for around eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina,' an insider previously told DailyMail.com. The doting grandparents had been a very present fixture in the children's lives before Brad's marriage broke down, with the duo often pictured enjoying quality time with them.'Prior to the separation, they were a part of the kids' lives and they all spent a lot of time together,' the source continued. 'It is just heartbreaking to see that this is no longer the case.'Brad and Angelina's fairytale marriage came to an end in 2016. It was alleged that Brad - accompanied by all six kids - became physically abusive on a plane.
Angeina claimed in court filings that Brad's 'history of physical abuse' started 'well before' the plane incident. The Maleficent actress also said her ex tried to force her to sign a $8.5 million NDA to cover up his 'years of abuse.'Brad has always denied the claims of abuse and was cleared by law enforcement following an investigation.According to a source, 'Brad has come clean about what happened on the plane and he has worked hard on himself, getting sober and becoming a better man.' Brad has since got into a serious relationship with Ines de Ramon who he has been romantically linked to since 2022.Although they kept their relationship private, in recent months they have made several red carpet appearances together and Brad is said to be 'in love' with the 28-year-old beauty. 'Brad is so grateful that he gets to leave all of this in the past as he starts a new year,' the insider tells DailyMail.com.'It is true that he wants to take his relationship with Ines to the next level but they are not in any rush to do so. She is thrilled for him and has been super supportive of him through all of this.'Brad's high-profiled romantic life has always been the topic of fascination.Brad ended his marriage to Aniston, 55, in 2005 after meeting Angelina on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Three months after Aniston and Brad's separated, he was spotted on Kenya's Diani Beach with Angelina and her son Maddox. Aniston's only encounter with Angelina occurred in 2004 on the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Burbank, California, where she was filming her hit NBC sitcom Friends.'I pulled over and introduced myself. I said, "Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time!"' Aniston recalled in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2005. However, a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that Aniston has no interest in speaking about her ex-husband's new divorce update - both in public or in private.'Jen isn't looking to talk about Brad and Angelina's divorce publicly, nor is she looking to reach out to Brad and offer any congratulations.'The next time they see each other, they'll be cordial with each other, they have been in the recent past and that won't change.'Angelina is not a talking point between them and that will remain the same forever,' the insider revealed.

Angelina Jolie has talked about her worst pet peeve. Turns out it's not something small like bad manners or poor tipping; it's actually a crippling problem. 'My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar,' said the Maria actress - who finalized her divorce from Brad Pitt last week- to the Great Performances issue of W magazine. 'Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel,' added the mother to six. 'There's a big version of that—and I'm not trying to be heavy about it—but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren't completely who they are. I think a lot of people don't say what they mean.' The comment might be a barb to Pitt whom she fought with for eight years over their split. The fight was nasty as it involved their six children and a bundle of money; they are still battling it out over Chateau Miraval.Volume 1, Best Performances W magazine hits stands February 11, 2025. Angelina also shared that it was not really her dream to become a Hollywood actress. 'I did it in the beginning because it was my mother’s dream. My mom was my manager, and we were a team. I always wanted to buy her a house, and I started to pay the bills. When my mom passed, it was harder for me to be an actress because I realized how much of it was for her.' Next she is making an action movie called Maude v Maude with Halle Berry. Last week Jolie and Pitt reached a settlement in their divorce. Eight years after Angelina filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences', the former couple have finally come to an agreement on terms and both have signed off on it. Angelina's lawyer James Simon told PEOPLE: 'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. 'This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. 'Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.'
Although the split was acrimonious, a source close to Jolie added: 'She doesn't speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She's been trying hard to be light after a dark time.' It came just days after a journey on a private plane in which Angelina claimed Brad was abusive to her and their six children but authorities did not charge him after investigating. Angelina and Brad later released a joint statement declaring that they would keep all divorce proceedings private for the sake of their children. They said: 'The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. 'The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.' The former couple share children Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, now 16. They were declared legally single in 2019 but have battled over custody and legal issues over their French estate and winery, Château Miraval, since the split. They were declared legally single in 2019 but have battled over custody and legal issues over their French estate and winery, Château Miraval, since the split. Meanwhile, Jolie has a promising new project set for early 2025 that will keep her passport busy. The first film the Oscar-winning actress will make since finalizing her divorce from Pitt will be an action-packed female-driven movie. The 4 beauty - who is now shooting Stitches in Paris - will be starring in Maude v Maude. Her costar Halle Berry has called it as a 'mix of Mr And Mrs Smith and Mission Impossible with a comedy twist' and two women in the leading roles. Deadline added it was a 'Bond vs. Bourne' type of global action thriller with exotic locations. Berry told a Red Sea International Film Festival audience that she might return to Saudi Arabia to film the movie. There will also be several other locations that filmgoers are not used to seeing in a movie, added Berry. That means Jolie will be traveling a lot for the project. A shooting date has yet to be announced, but in September Halle told Yahoo that the film is her first project for 2025: 'Going into next year that is on our docket and I'm really excited.' Berry said earlier this year that she has already 'bonded' with Jolie over their 'divorces and exes'. The two have never worked together before. Halle has revealed that they actually spent some time together discussing their love lives. The 57-year-old actress - who was previously married to David Justice, Eric Benet and Olivier Martinez - told Variety: 'We've been talking a lot about divorces and exes. We bonded, let's say that.'Despite this, Halle acknowledged that their friendship actually got off to a 'rocky start'.
The Hollywood actress - whose co-star has also been married three times - shared: 'We had a rocky start and I think that is going to serve us well in our screen time together.'
But she also told Yahoo she admires Jolie: 'It's been a joy to work with [Angelina]. We seemed like two unlikely friends, but when we sat down with each other, we realized that we were each the thing we both needed that we didn't know we needed. You know, we have so many things in common and we realized that in our first meeting.' Other projects for Jolie in 2025: the films Every Note Played with Christoph Waltz and Maleficent 3, it has been claimed. She will also promote Without Blood which stars her pal Salma Hayek. It is not known when the film will get its theatrical release. The film premiered in the Special Presentations section at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2024. Angelina will also be working on her store Atelier Jolie in NYC with kids Zahara and Vivienne.
