Angelina Jolie hit the red carpet alongside French photographer JR, 38, her lookalike daughter Shiloh, 15, and son Pax, 17, for the premiere of the artist's new documentary Paper & Glue on Thursday. The Eternals star, 46, was a vision in all-black as she sashayed down the red carpet at LA's the Museum of Tolerance alongside two of the six children she shares with her ex Brad Pitt and the man of the moment JR. Having been joined by her kids at a number of her recent red carpet events, Angelina yet again made the event a family affair as she was joined by Shiloh and Pax alongside mysterious JR. Angelina paired her ribbed black turtleneck with a calf-skimming, biased-cut skirt that highlighted her trim frame and reached down to her knees. She stayed on theme with a pair of classic black pumps. The Academy Award winner had her lustrous brunette locks parted down the middle and resting across her shoulders, and she kept her makeup fairly low key. She completed her premiere look with small hoop earrings. Shiloh meanwhile was undergoing another style overhaul, having recent shed her trademark androgynous looks in favour of her stunning gowns and trendy, girlish ensembles. She wore a hoodie with ripped jeans and Converse trainers while scraping her blonde locks back and showing her remarkable likeness to her movie star mother. Pax showed off his winning smile while wearing a gray plaid shirt buttoned all the way to the top and charcoal jeans to complement it, as well as black sneakers. He laughed and giggled while he stood with his mother's arm draped over his shoulders in doting style. Angelina's friendship has been chronicled in recent months after he snapped her during a trip to France in August. Also showing off a casual ensemble was actress Sofia Boutella, who was draped in a grey overcoat with thick breast pockets that swallowed up her trim figure. The Climax actor had on a plunging black blouse under it that was decorated with white floral designs, and she layered up with a white blazer over it.She completed the look with cream-colored slacks that flared at the bottom and completely covered her footwear. Los Angeles Times described the movie as: 'In the film, he looks at five of his most iconic installations, relayed via casual anecdotes nested inside the process of creating other projects...'While JR is visiting a supermax prison near Tehachapi, Calif., and enlisting its inmates to participate in one of his projects, he describes an installation he created at the U.S.-Mexico border: A giant photograph of a toddler, Kikito, peering over the fence from the Mexican side...'It became a social media sensation, and when the scaffolding the photo was attached to needed to come down, JR threw a party with tacos and a band that erased the border for a moment.'The Algerian actress had her long raven locks layered across her coat at first, but she swept them back.JR, the guest of honor, set the tone for the relaxed evening with a cream-colored jacket over a black flee and an extra sweater. He contrasted the items with jeans and white sneakers, and he wore his identifiable trilby hat and dark round-frame sunglasses. JR — whose real name and identity have never been confirmed, despite him having made several public appearances in recent years — is best known as a street artist who prints monumental versions of black-and-white photographs and posts them onto public buildings. He later expanded into making documentary features about his work, though his most-acclaimed film was his 2017 documentary Faces Places, which he co-directed with the late French New Wave pioneer Agnès Varda.

Angelina Jolie is set to star in new Marvel movie The Eternals and she's hailed the film's 'strong' female leading cast. The actress, 46, is joined by her co-stars Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Lauren Ridloff, as well as fellow movie stars Jodie Comer, Halle Berry, Gal Gadot, Jennifer Hudson and Rita Moreno in ELLE's 2021 Women in Hollywood issue to celebrate 'resilient' women. The nine women are being honoured for their creative and cultural contributions, with each star gracing the cover for a series of stunning shots for the publication's November issue. Another shot sees her sporting a tailored suit and sipping on a cup of tea while held up in the air by ropes at the edge of a pool. In the issue, Jolie - who is an advocate for refugees - discusses her upcoming movie and praises The Eternal's director, Oscar-winner Chloé Zao for her choice of casting. 'A lot of times as an actress, you’re that individual strong woman, or you have one sister; you don’t often have this family where you really get to know women and see all the different strengths,' Jolie explained. Praising her co-stars, Jolie continued: 'Gemma’s grace and elegance and the way she walks through the world. Salma’s motherhood and power, and Lauren’s connection and intelligence. Everybody came as themselves. 'Maybe there’s something to that, that the characters weren’t as far off [from ourselves]. I think there’s a secret that we don’t know that our director knows, because if you look at her films, she casts a lot of real people as their roles and it shapes her films.'The Eternals, set for release in cinemas in November, follows a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who are secretly living on Earth. As well as starring Richard Madden, Kit Harington and Don Lee, the movie will see Jolie, Hayek, Chan and Ridloff appear as superheroes too, with Grown Ups star Hayek praising director Zao for breaking mainstream stereotypes on the big screen. She reveals in the issue that when she was first contacted about the movie, she thought it was going to play a 'grandmother' type role. 'I never thought I was going to be one of the Eternals. It doesn’t happen. It’s never happened to me like that before without a fight and like, ‘I can do this, please hire me!’ When she told me I was one of them, I was like, ‘Me, Mexican, Middle Eastern? Me, in my fifties? I’m going to be a superhero in a Marvel movie?’ Sometimes as a woman, as a woman of color and with the age, you feel so overlooked,' she said. Commending Zao for 'having balls', she championed the director for 'acknowledging' her within the industry. Ridloff, whose character Makkari is deaf like her and the first deaf superhero within the Marvel universe, reveals she jumped at the chance to 'show representation' on screen in a 'refreshing' way, while Chan praises Marvel for showing diversity on a global scale with its movies. As well as The Eternals cast, the Women in Hollywood issue also features Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, who gets a stellar review from her co-stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the accompanying interview for her portrayal of Marguerite in The Last Duel - a woman who accuses her husband's best friend of rape. Damon describes Comer as 'truly incredible', while noting her ability to better a filmmaker's writing with her take on a character, while Affleck gushes: 'I’m just proud to be a footnote in the Wikipedia page of her career.'She touches on how her 'confidence' has grown over the years within the film industry and the lessons she's learned as she poses for a series of playful snaps that see her kicking back in a bathtub in one shot and stepping out in front of a wind machine in a grand bedroom.
Also included in the issue is Justice League star Gadot who reflects on the mistreatment she endured on set of the 2017 release and her decision to speak out against it. Gadot accused director Joss Whedon, who has refused to comment on any allegations of mistreatment and abuse, of verbally abusing her on set and threatening her career. She questions whether she would have received the same treatment 'if I had been a man' and how she felt inclined to publicly address how she was treated in order to show people 'that it's not okay'. Berry, meanwhile, reflects on starting out her film career 'when Black women didn't really have a prominent place in the industry' and how her fight for her career has inspired the stories she wants to tell on the big screen. She is the only Black woman to have won the Academy Award for Best Actress to date. Hudson, who turns heads with her cover shot in a revealing leopard print swimsuit and colour block blazer, shares what it was like to land the iconic role of playing Aretha Franklin in the legendary singer's biopic and how Aretha had handpicked her to appear as her in the movie. While Moreno - the first Latina to win an Oscar (for Best Supporting Actress) - recalls her experience of being an activist throughout her movie career, as she calls out Hollywood for showing ageism towards older actors and actresses with typecasting. All nine women included in the stunning issue are praised for 'breaking barriers' and using their fame to actively campaign against important global issues and injustices. Jolie, who was appointed a 'Special Envoy' in 2012, works closely with the UN to support and campaign for the rights and protection of refugees, while her co-star Hayek is a prominent voice in the fight against domestic violence. Chan, meanwhile, launched the #StopESEAHate campaign here in the UK, earlier this year, following a rise in hate crimes against Asian communities. In May, she shared her concerns as she revealed on social media: 'Like many others, I worry for family members every time they leave the house or use public transport. My mum has worked for the NHS for most of her life - she and my dad have been followed and subjected to a number of verbal assaults since the beginning of the pandemic.'Whilst I’m relieved that these attacks didn’t become physical, unfortunately that is often not the case, such as the unprovoked attack on a 26 year old woman in Edinburgh last week which ended in her hospitalisation, the vicious beating of a university lecturer who was out jogging in Southampton and the physical assault of Singaporean student Jonathan Mok on Oxford Street, amongst many others. 'What’s even more concerning is that the recorded figures are likely an underestimation because many incidents go unreported, both to the police and in the media. There is an urgent need for increased awareness and support so I am proud to help launch this fund, which will provide grants to grassroots organisations supporting ESEA and broader communities.'

'I've always been careful': Angelina Jolie weighs in on Alec Baldwin's fatal shooting accident as she says she follows 'serious procedures' on films where she is the director

Angelina Jolie has revealed she is 'always careful' and follows gun procedure on set following Alec Baldwin's fatal shooting accident on the set of his film Rust. The actress, 46, weighed in on the tragic incident after the actor, 63, was given a loaded gun, which he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with, as well as injuring director Joel Souza.Angelina, who has worked with guns on set on many occassions both as an actor and director, said that 'certain procedures' have to be taken 'very seriously', when asked about the accident during a recent interview with The Times. The Eternals star, said: 'I can't imagine what these families are going through. At this moment, the grief and the tragedy of that accident is quite overwhelming. 'I've always been very careful because I've had to work with guns a lot. The way I've worked or checked when I'm directing, there are certain procedures. You have to take it very seriously.'Angelina's many action parts have seen her handling guns on countless occassions, including her roles in Tomb Raider, Mr & Mrs Smith and Salt. The A-lister previously revealed her pro-gun stance in 2008 when she admitted she kept a gun in the house during her marriage to Brad Pitt, 57. She said: 'Brad and I are not against having a gun in the house, and we do have one. And yes, I'd be able to use it if I had to… If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I have no problem shooting them.'The latest update in the Baldwin case is that lawyers representing the armorer who loaded his gun claimed the weapon was left unattended for two hours on set, before backtracking and saying it was only ten minutes.Jason Bowles, speaking on behalf of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, suggested the gun may have been tampered with before it fired the fatal shot during the filming of Rust. The .45 Long Colt was not supposed to contain live rounds and was one of three on a tray given to assistant director David Halls who then passed it on to Baldwin.Gutierrez-Reed, 24, who says she gave the actor gun training and told him to never point a firearm at someone, had loaded the gun on the prop cart with six dummy rounds which she took from a prop ammunition box labeled 'dummies', Bowles claims. These rounds do not contain any gunpowder and are used on film sets to mimic real bullets.Bowles claimed the guns were left unattended for two hours including the crew's lunch break during a TV interview on Wednesday. But later he backtracked after consulting Gutierrez-Reed, saying the guns had been locked in a safe during lunch and were only left unattended for five to 10 minutes, he told the New York Times. Bowles said his client had asked her colleagues to watch the gun cart when she was not there and she remembered seeing it left unattended at points throughout the day.
Gutierrez-Reed loaded the three firearms at 11am, including the .45 Long Colt, which were to be used during filming on the fateful day, fellow lawyer Robert Gorence said.He said: 'Was there a duty to safeguard them 24/7? The answer is no, because there were no live rounds.'The gun was declared 'cold' meaning it was safe to use and it remains unclear how a live round was used. Gutierrez-Reed said in a statement issued by her lawyers: 'Who put those in there and why is the central question. 'Hannah kept guns locked up, including throughout lunch on the day in question, and she instructed her department to watch the cart containing the guns when she was pulled away for her other duties or on a lunch break.'The statement goes on to say that 'Hannah did everything in her power to ensure a safe set. She inspected the rounds that she loaded into the firearms that day. She always inspected the rounds.'The statement adds that she inspected the rounds before handing the firearm to assistant director David Halls 'by spinning the cylinder and showing him all of the rounds and then handing him the firearm.''No one could have anticipated or thought that someone would introduce live rounds into this set,' Gutierrez Reed's statement said. The statement also noted that 'she did firearms training for the actors as well as Mr. Baldwin, she fought for more training days and she regularly emphasized to never point a firearm at a person.'It comes as Halyna's husband Matthew hired the firm Panish, Shea, Boyle and Ravipudi in Los Angeles and is set to file a wrongful death lawsuit.Sources told TMZ there will be multiple defendants in the suit and it will be filed on behalf of Matthew and their son Andros, nine, following her death on October 21. Gutierrez Reed's attorneys floated the theory that a 'disgruntled' crew member may have planted the live round on set as an act of revenge, during an interview with the Today show's Savannah Guthrie on Wednesday. In the wake of the fatal shooting that also wounded director Joel Souza, several crew members have come out claiming that they were overworked and denied hotel rooms in the vicinity of the New Mexico set. 'I believe that somebody who would do that, would want to sabotage the set, would want to prove a point, want to say they're disgruntled, they're unhappy,' Jason Bowles said. 'And we know that people had already walked off the set the day before... and the reason they are unhappy is they're working 12 to 14 hour days, they are not given hotel rooms in and around the area, so they had to drive back and forth an hour to Albuquerque, and they're unhappy.'
Gutierrez Reed has not been named a suspect, or charged with any crime in connection with Hutchins' killing, but she retained legal representation. 'There was a box of dummy rounds, and the box is labeled 'dummy,'' Bowles said. '[Gutierrez Reed] loaded rounds from that box into the handgun, only later to find out - she had no idea - that there was a live round.'The armorer then handed the vintage Colt pistol to assistant director David Halls, who, in turn, passed it on to Baldwin and announced 'cold gun,' indicating that the weapon was safe to use, according to authorities investigating the deadly October 21 shooting near Santa Fe, New Mexico. 'We're assuming somebody put the live round in that box,' Bowles told Guthrie. 'The person who put the live round in the box of dummy rounds had to have the purpose of sabotaging the set. There is no other reason you would do that: that you would mix that live round in with the dummy rounds.' Gorence said the box of dummy ammunition was in a prop truck, which was 'completely unattended at all times, giving someone access and opportunity.' Gutierrez Reed's lawyers defended her actions that day, saying that the loaded gun was not in her care for the entire duration of the filming because she was expected to perform two jobs on set: as an armorer and a props assistant. Bowels said that after lunch, Gutierrez Reed handed the gun she had loaded earlier to Halls and then went about performing her other duties as a props assistant. As she handed over the Colt, the lawyer said Gutierrez Reed spun the chamber to show Halls the rounds inside.'She did spin the cylinder for him,' Bowles said. 'She did show him each and every round in that chamber, which there were six.'He added: 'The problem is, when you look at a dummy round and you look at their appearance, they have the same projectile tip; some of these do not have a hole in the side. They mimic and look like a real round.'The armorer's legal team admitted that she did not inspect the gun to ascertain that the rounds inside the chamber were not live ammunition.Gorence explained that Gutierrez Reed was not inside the church set at the time of the shooting because it took place while cameras were being set up, and not during filming,'She wasn't there,' the lawyer stressed. The armorer's attorneys said they are cooperating with the investigation, and are hoping that the FBI would be able to determine who had planted the live round. The attorneys for Gutierrez Reed she is 'absolutely devastated.' 'She remains very emotional about everything that's happened,' Bowles said. 'Coming on the scene and everything that she saw, she is heartbroken and she is just devastated by what's happened.' Meanwhile, 'Rust' camera assistant Lane Luper, who quit on the eve of the shooting, told Good Morning America that there were only two safety meetings on set and said production did not take gun safety seriously.'I think with Rust, it was the perfect storm of the armorer, the assistant director, the culture that was on set, the rushing. It was everything,' he said.Luper claimed the crew were overworked and exhausted from commuting to and from the set, and he also cited poor gun safety, which he said resulted in two accidental weapon discharges and one accidental sound-effects explosion. Baldwin has been largely silent about what happened on the set of 'Rust,' but on Tuesday he shared a social media post from one crew member slamming her coworkers for painting a 'blatantly false' picture of the set as 'chaotic and unsafe'. Baldwin issued a public statement the day after Hutchins' death in which he indicated that he was cooperating with authorities and offered his condolences to her family. Halls released a statement to the New York Post on Monday, saying he hopes the tragedy prompts the film industry to 'reevaluate its values and practices' to ensure no one is harmed again. Concerns have been raised about Halls' safety record by colleagues on two previous productions. Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said last week there was 'some complacency' in how weapons were handled on the set. Investigators found around 500 rounds of ammunition — a mix of blanks, dummy rounds and suspected live rounds — even though the set's armorer, Gutierrez Reed, said real ammo should never have been present.

Angelina Jolie hilariously gave a very frosty response when asked about her friendship with The Weeknd. The actress, 46, was promoting her new film the Eternals with co-star Salma Hayek on E!'s Daily Pop when she averted a question about her relationship with The I Feel It Coming singer, whom she has been spotted hanging out with on several occasions.Interestingly, rather than using the moment as an opportunity to set the record straight on her friendship with the superstar, the actress avoided discussing their relationship whatsoever. Asked by host Justin Sylvester whether her children were more excited by her role in Eternals or by her friendship with The Weeknd, Angelina replied: 'They're very excited about this film... If that's what you're asking,' she said, glancing at her co-star Salma.'They're very excited about this film,' she repeated in a more muted tone.Angelina has been spotted dining out with The Weeknd several times this year, and though they have reportedly been telling people they are 'just friends', their pals believe there is more between them.Talking about the connection last month, a source told Us Weekly: 'Both Angie and Abel are telling people that they are just friends, but those who know them think something romantic is going on.' 'She's definitely warming toward Abel. He's been pouring on the charm and going out of his way to impress her.'The Weeknd isn't the only man Angelina has been linked to since splitting from her ex-husband Brad Pitt in 2016, with the actress also being spotted with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller in recent months.Friends of the actress say Jolie is excited about seeing new people for the first time since her 2016 split from Pitt, with one insider telling Us Weekly: 'Angelina is having so much fun right now, and she's making up for lost time.' 'There's no pressure or expectation at this point, just a lot of fun, and Angelina's really enjoying it,' they went on.'Her friends haven't seen her this up and energized in forever.'Angelina took her time getting back into the dating world, with the insider explaining: 'She wasn't interested in dating anyone for years after the divorce because she was so busy being a mom and staying on top of her career.'Though Jolie and Pitt broke up in 2016, they weren't legally declared single until 2019 and are still working on details of their divorce. She and Pitt share custody of Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 13. Son Maddox, 20, is a legal adult.Still, the star is taking things slow and keeping things casual for the time being, with the source dishing: 'She never put a time stamp or formal expectation on when that would change. It had to be organic, and that's exactly what ended up happening.'Jolie was seen out with ex husband Jonny Lee Miller in Beverly Hills earlier this month. The Oscar-winner and Miller, 48, were married from 1996 to 1999 after first meeting onset of their nineties thriller Hackers in 1995.The pair were recently linked in June this year, when Jolie was spotted arriving at Miller's apartment in NYC, while holding an expensive bottle of wine. Angelina Jolie has once again been spotted with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller. The former couple were pictured enjoying a dinner date together on Monday night at Eoc restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. The Maleficent star - who is still battling through her bitter divorce saga with ex Brad Pitt - was dressed in a chic black coat and heels as she exited in Miller's car before the pair drove off together. Jolie, 46, and Miller, 48, were married from 1996 to 1999 after first meeting onset of their nineties thriller Hackers in 1995. While she is sure to set tongues wagging about a possible reunion between the duo - she has also been repeatedly dining out with music superstar The Weeknd this year. The pair were recently linked in June this year, when Jolie was spotted arriving at Miller's apartment in NYC, while holding an expensive bottle of wine. She was seen leaving a few hours later. It was claimed at that time, that Miller had met and bonded with her songs Pax, 17, and Knox, 12.The Oscar-winning beauty shares custody of both kids with ex-husband Pitt, in addition to Maddox, 19, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and and Vivienne, 12.Last month, DailyMail.com exclusively revealed how Jolie was trying to sell her 50% stake in the vineyard that she shared with Pitt, held through her company, Nouvel. Her move to sell - which she did this month on October 6 - was branded 'vindictive and systematic obstruction' by the actor in bitter lawsuit. The estate - now valued at $164 million - is where the couple tied the knot in 2008.Angelina's move comes after the lawsuit obtained by DailyMail.com showed Miraval is owned by Quimicum, a company in which Pitt originally held a 60 per cent share through his company Mondo Bongo while Jolie held 40 per cent through Nouvel.Three years before he and Jolie split, Pitt transferred ten per cent of Mondo Bongo's shares to her company, Nouvel rendering them 50/50 stakeholders in Quimicum. The suit went on to allege that she was trying to sell her 50 per cent, circumvent Pitt's right of first refusal and profit from the 'incredible amount of work, time and money,' invested by Pitt and his business partners in growing the brand. The PDA pair kept lockets of each other's blood and bought grave plots before divorcing in 2003 after two years of wedded bliss.
The Come Away actress then fell for her Mr. & Mrs. Smith leading man Brad Pitt, who promptly divorced his wife Jennifer Aniston in 2005. 'Brangelina' went on to have a 12-year relationship - only two years of which they were married. A contentious court battle over their five underage children rages on.The bisexual beauty has also been rumored to have romanced Anton Schneider, Jenny Shimizu, Timothy Hutton, Misty Cooper, Colin Farrell, Val Kilmer, Taye Diggs, and Wyclef Jean. But according to the lawsuit, the ten per cent transfer is void as the shares were 'sold' for only 1 Euro and not a 'serious' amount as required by Luxembourg law.The Chateau and the 1,000-acre estate near Aix-en-Provence in which it sits was once the couple's getaway. It was there that the couple, who met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004 when Pitt was still married to Jennifer Anniston, decided to marry in an intimate ceremony in 2008.Jolie filed for divorce in August 2016 citing 'irreconcilable differences' and requesting primary custody of their six children. As of May, Pitt and Jolie share joint custody of their five underage children - Pax, 17; Zahara, 16; Shiloh, 15; as well as twins Vivienne and Knox, 13.However, Vietnamese-born Pax will become a legal adult when he turns 18 on November 29, and their eldest son Maddox is 20 and attending Yonsei University in Seoul. In April Angelina stated that she stepped back from directing to return to acting due to 'a change in her family situation'. After establishing herself as one of the most bankable box office stars in the early 2000s, she largely devoted the 2010s to directing, although she has now insisted that a continued pursuit of directing has become 'impossible'.The star made her directing debut in 2011's In the Land of Blood and Honey, followed by 2014's Unbroken, By the Sea in 2015 and First They Killed My Father in 2017.While she did not specifically detail what the 'change' was, Angelina has been engaged in a lengthy custody battle with ex-husband Brad. When asked about her shift towards acting in favor of directing, Angelina said the move was due to her family, but directing is still a passion for her.She candidly told Entertainment Weekly: 'I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that's not made it possible for me to direct for a few years.'I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That's really the truth of it.'
