How Angelina Jolie Has Been Training for Marvel's Eternals

Marvel’s Eternals has a lot of fans curious since they are relatively obscure characters and were actually killed in the comics not too long ago, likely to make room for a relaunch. The movie will have a big cast, including Hollywood A-lister Angeline Jolie, who will be playing Thena. Since this is a Marvel movie, Jolie is getting in shape since she knows that there will be a need for her to get physical, even with stunt doubles.Funnily enough, talking with OK! Magazine (via Metro), Jolie revealed that she has attended some of her children’s physical activity classes to get in shape. No joke, the Maleficent star stated that she has gone to her son’s weapon classes and daughter’s karate lessons, even taking part in them. This is interesting, to say the least, though she has probably been going to the gym as well. “My son Knox does some weapons classes and Viv does karate so I’ve been jumping into all their classes. I’m the mum that keeps showing up. It’s been fun and going to the gym together is really good.” Some of us might find this cute, cringe-inducing, or simply misleading, but it seems that Jolie is excited to join the MCU. Admittedly, Thena is far from the most popular character in Marvel history but you can bet that Jolie will make her memorable, especially with a little CGI magic. Personally, I’m excited to see what she brings to the table. Jolie has always been a great actress, despite what the Maleficent movies have shown, and she adds a lot of presence to this relatively unknown Marvel movie. Then again, Marvel Studios is huge now and they can make any comic book movie now.Marvel’s Eternals will be coming out next year, on November 6, 2020.

With Disney‘s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hitting theaters on October 18, Walt Disney Studios has released a behind-the-scenes video of Angelina Jolie transforming into her character Maleficent. Edited in black and white, the short time-lapse clip features the actress surrounded by a team of makeup artists and hairstylists turning her into the evil queen. Here Is What Angelina Jolie Could Look Like As Thena From Marvel's Eternals

The costume designs for Marvel's Eternals have not yet surfaced. The cast members might not have tried any final looks on yet as the movie and its cast were only announced at San Diego Comic-Con in mid-July. However, thanks to a graphic artist, we can get an idea of what Angelina Jolie might look like as Thena in the upcoming Marvel Studios flick.Twitter user Carlos Gzz shared his own design of Jolie as the Marvel character, complete with her gold armor and all. The design looks a bit like Angela, a character more recently introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy books, but the gold plates were going to offer up a similar asthetic regardless.Check out Carlos Gzz's imagining of Jolie as Thena in the tweet below! Disney released a new poster for its latest movie Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil on Monday.The film's star Angelina Jolie looks ominous with a white face, black horns, and piercing green eyes. Other big names such as Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora and Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith also appeared on the poster alongside Jolie.Jolie looks different this time around from the 2014 original live-action film.She has her wings, which she did not have on during most of the first movie. And she is decorated in what appears to be claws or bird beaks, which appears on her forehead.Pfeiffer is regal in her stand alone poster. She has on a pearl crown with matching earrings and necklace in an opulent display of wealth.The blonde beauty, best known for Scarface and for playing Catwoman, has her hair twisted and worn up in a Swedish style.And she is clad in a gold and black gown with beige gloves.Then there is Fanning as Aurora in a blue lace dress with blue flowers in her braided and curled hair.She looks still innocent but also a bit worn her down from seeing much quarreling in her short lifetime. A light blue ribbon around her neck make her look like she's from another era.
The first trailer for the autumn movie was released on Tuesday. Jolie returns as the title character, with this sequel set several years after the events of the original film which was released in 2014. Fanning also returns as Aurora, a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty, with the trailer offering the first look at Pfeiffer's Ingrith. The trailer opens with a group of faeries flying around the huge castle, while Ingrith narrates, revealing she 'remembers the story of an evil witch,' as we get a look at Maleficent's horns.'And the princess she cursed to sleep forever,' Ingrith continues, as we get a new look at Fanning's Aurora, about to prick her finger on the spindle.Ingrith adds that the story, 'became legend,' while the prince proposed to Aurora, giving her a ring, as the faeries all fly away from the trees as Aurora and the prince embrace.Ingrith then goes on to say that, 'this is no fairy tale,' before Maleficent says, 'There are many others who prey on the innocent' as Maleficent is seen entering a grand hall, before she addresses Ingrith directly.'I'm sure your kind would agree,' Maleficent says, as a nervous King John (Robert Lindsay) looks on.'If I didn't know better, I would say you're making a threat,' Ingrith says, which Maleficent turns back on her.'Well do you?' Maleficent asks, as Ingrith turns angry and says, 'Do I what?' with Maleficent responding, 'Know better?'Maleficent is also seen spreading her black wings and firing a green energy blast at some soldiers, while Aurora stands up and demands, 'What have you done?' Maleficent doesn't answer though, flying away, while other brief shots show faeries flying throughout the land and Ingrith watching from atop her castle.The trailer ends with a slew of witches descending upon the castle, sending some running for cover.The final shot shows Maleficent landing and spreading her wings, showing off a new black body paint look as the battle begins. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters October 18, going up against Sony's Zombieland 2: Double Tap and Universal's The Hunt.

She is also seen going head-to-head with Michelle Pfeiffer's duplicitous Queen Ingrit.According to the press release, 'The years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. 'Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists. 'Aurora’s impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds.'When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.'The trailer opens with the sweet proposal from Prince Phillip, played by Harris Dickinson.The prince tells Aurora, 'Five years go I thought I lost you forever. There is no curse that could turn you away from me. Will you marry me?'
