Angelina Jolie reportedly put down an $11,000 deposit for one of Ernest Hemingway's typewriters as a wedding present for Brad Pitt this summer.According to TMZ, the 39-year-old's agent initially got in touch with L.A. Police Commission President Steve Soboroff to purchase Tennessee Williams' typewriter. When the collector refused, the two-time Oscar winner decided to pay $250,000 for the 1926 Underwood Hemingway used to write For Whom the Bell Tolls. The American author - who committed suicide in 1961 - won both the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Nobel Prize in Literature during his influential, illustrious career. However, after sending a check from Angelina's company Chivan Productions, the Maleficent star suddenly changed her mind and got her deposit back. But the Oscar-winning producer - who turns 51 next month - seemed to have liked whatever Jolie gifted him as he called their wedding 'an amazing day.' The A-listers known as 'Brangelina' tied the knot on August 23 at their French estate, the Château Miraval, at the urging of their six children - Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, 9, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox & Vivienne, 6.'The children wrote vows and asked us to make promises to each other,' the thrice-married actress said in the December issue of Vanity Fair.'It was very sweet what they came up with. They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, "Sorry," if we do. So they said, "Do you?" And we said, "We do!"...It feels nice to be husband and wife.' In no time, the Hollywood power couple were back at work on the Malta set of their 1970s romance By the Sea, which Angelina wrote and is directing.'A few friends asked if we were crazy,' the three-time Golden Globe winner told the mag.'[A film about] a married couple going through some difficulties...and I’m directing him.' The 'intimate character-driven drama' focuses on a former dancer called Vanessa and her writer husband Roland traveling France together.'It's not a big movie, it's not an action movie,' the Kung Fu Panda actress told Extra in May.'It's the kind of movie we love but aren't often cast in. It's a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, try things.' By the Sea - due out next year - will also feature Brad's Inglourious Basterds co-star Mélanie Laurent.Jolie and Pitt haven't acted together since the 2005 assassin comedy Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which grossed $478 million at the box office. The Counselor star can currently be seen as 'Wardaddy' in WWII flick Fury alongside Shia LaBeouf, Scott Eastwood, and Michael Peña.And the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador's second major directorial effort, a biopic on WWII POW Louis Zamperini called Unbroken, hits US theatres December 25.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are so in love now, but if one of them decides to cheat on the other, there’s going to be high price to pay. The prenuptial agreement of the newlywed reportedly comes with an ironclad adultery clause.According to Star magazine, the Hollywood power couple signed a prenup before exchanging I Do’s at their French chateau in France on August 23. The pact was said to be “heavily encouraged by their lawyers” so that in case Brad became unfaithful, their assets remain intact.“If Brad gets too serious with another woman while they are married, [Angelina will] get primary custody if they split,” a source told the magazine, referring to the couple’s six children.Brad and Angie will also leave with the assets that they separately brought into their marriage as well if they break up. As for the assets that they have earned during their marriage, they would put them into a trust for their children, divided six equal ways of course.
None of the post-marriage earnings would also “go to Brad or Angie or a subsequent partner” as well before that’s “really seemed like the fairest way to go about it.”Brangelina also officially signed wills for their six kids, which would see the majority of their wealth go to Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and the twins Knox and Vivienne.Funds for the orphanages where they adopted their kids (Cambodia, Vietnam and Ethiopia), as well as for cancer research, have also been provided.A prenup agreement isn’t uncommon in Hollywood. Most couples in the industry have signed their own provisions, including adultery clauses. Brad and Angelina had a controversial start in their relationship when Angelina was accused of being the reason why Brad broke up with his first wife Jennifer Aniston in 2005.Both Brad and Angie denied that she got in the way, though the theory persisted for years. They reportedly have a joint estimated value of U$460 million [A$502 million].

The couple play these characters in drama By The Sea, a movie they are currently filming in Malta, and which the actress is also directing.George Farrugia who runs a jewellery shop on the neighbouring island of Gozo, told The Mirror: 'I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was a rare one.'Oh yes, it was very valuable.'However the huge value of the watch did not faze the experienced 57-year-old.He said: 'I wasn’t nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly.'Of course, a $3m watch is a mere drop in the ocean for the wealthy A-listers, with Brad being worth an estimated $240m and Angelina not far behind at $145m. The happy couple wed in a lavish ceremony last month, a long awaited wedding as they have been together for nine years since Brad decided to trade in ex-wife Jennifer Aniston for the 39-year-old Tomb Raider favourite. They have been trying to stay out the limelight while filming their latest money-spinning project, though they have taken their massive six child brood bowling in Gozo. With his matinee idol looks fading and facing increased competition from younger heartthrobs, Brad has made the wise decision to take it easy and enjoy more time with his family. He told GQ: 'I’ve been slowing down for a while and transitioning to other things.'

They met on the set of high octane flick Mr & Mrs Smith, where they played married secret assassins. And the lives of newlywed couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now imitating their art as they have taken up training in a form of military-style unarmed combat, together. The couple - who married in France last month - have been practising a form of Israeli self defence known as Krav Maga to help them prepare for their upcoming movie By The Sea. Brad, 50, has only recently adopted the discipline, which the couple now practise several days a week, while wife Angelina started learning self defence to train for her Tomb Raider role in 2001.A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'Angelina previously learnt Krav Maga when she was doing Tomb Raider and loved it.'The A-list acting couple, who have six children together, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, nine-year-old Zahara, eight-year-old Shiloh and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne are impressed with the fitness properties of the combat classes, which are thought to burn hundreds of calories each time. Fight Club actor Brad is believed to have lost more than 10 pounds after participating in the intense military-style exercise classes for just three weeks and is even letting his kids join in the fun.
'The whole family are learning the moves,' the source continued. 'Even the little ones are doing modified kids' moves but Brad has been doing it for 45 minutes a day and has dramatically lost weight and beefed up his muscles for the film.'Their new joint venture, By The Sea has been written and directed by Angelina, 39, and stars Brad, acting as the first time the couple have starred together on screen since they played husband and wife duo John and Jane Smith in 2005.And it is thought that their training in the discipline could spark copycat interest in similar unarmed military combat classes because last month their wedding spot, Correns, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur saw a 1000% increase in tourism.Brad and Angelina recently enjoyed their honeymoon with their children aboard a luxury yacht in Malta while filming began on the picture on the country's second largest island, Gozo. They were reported to have paid $200,000 to local residents and business owners off the coast of Malta to be left in peace during their stay.
