Angelina Jolie: It Took Me Time to Find a Real Man

Even Angelina Jolie had to wait a while to find her Mr. Right!"At 20, we're all looking for Prince Charming, the big handsome hunk, only we're generally disappointed because of his instability," the actress tells France's Dandy magazine. "At 40, you know what you want: a real man."Jolie, 39, found her "real man" in Brad Pitt, 51, and opened up about their family-centric wedding at their French estate."It wasn't a wedding in grand style, but we were all very at ease, very cool," she tells the mag. "It was absolutely adorable to see how excited [our children] were by the idea, and how much they were all involved.""For example, we told Knox and Shiloh they'd carry the rings without specifying they'd have a cushion to carry them," she continues. "On the day, they arrived with two matched cushions on their own. I imagine they'd seen it in a movie. In short, they were so cute!"Jolie's recent focus has been on her work behind the camera – directing Unbroken and furthering her humanitarian efforts, including recently launching the Centre on Women, Peace and Security at the London School of Economics."It's somewhat personal," she tells Dandy of why she's been appearing in front of the camera less frequently. "When my mother died, I realized how much my being an actress was linked to her desire to be an actress herself, and especially what satisfaction it brought her when she saw me onscreen. Once she was gone, I didn't feel the same attraction for it."
Jolie, who lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 2007, says she now gets more satisfaction from letting other people have the spotlight."What I really like is to be behind the camera, to put others into the light," she explains. "Being in the spotlight's shine doesn't interest me. I prefer to have my head almost underwater ... than be dainty in front of the cameras."The mother of six also opened up about her favorite indulgence – "all the rosés of Provence, [France].""Drinking a glass of wine with friends, people we love – there's nothing better to take away bad toxins," she says.Jolie and Pitt created their own wine – the Miraval Rosé – produced from grapes grown at the vineyards at their estate, Château Miraval in Correns, France."Growing vines, harvesting, barreling them is an interesting experience," Jolie tells the magazine. "I learned a lot these last years. I've realized that making wine isn't something that's improvised. It takes hard work."
Will She Let Her Kids Get Tattoos? Jolie proudly flaunts several tattoos – including the map coordinates of the birthplaces of all her children and Pitt – so she doesn't think she can prevent her own children from getting inked someday."I don't see how I'll be able to stop them later on," she says in the interview. "They only need to look at me to know that I've very few arguments to dissuade them. Brad, he's much firmer on the question: It's 'nyet'!"

Marriage is tough, even when you're betrothed to one of the best-looking men on the planet. That's according to Angelina Jolie, who says her newlywed life with Brad Pitt is "hard work."In an interview with Australian Women's Weekly, the actress and director says she's "very happy to be married," and still gets a kick out of calling Pitt her husband. (After years together, the pair got married this summer.)But despite a picture-perfect family, says she and Pitt are constantly paddling like crazy to make things work. "[We] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected," she said. And it's especially tough when you have two high-powered careers in the mix. "Maintaining a marriage and raising kids is hard work," she said. "You have to really make sure that your work doesn't get in the way. That you don't do something that is going to put too much strain on your family." So there you have it: Even with all the money, talent, and good genes in the world, that whole work-life balance thing is hard to master. Ben Affleck gets it.

Angelina Jolie Reveals That She and Brad Pitt Secretly Married Before Their Wedding in France

This past August, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt married in an intimate ceremony in the south of France, attended by only close family members. The wedding was, by all accounts, a low-key event at the family’s vineyard property Château Miraval that was planned by the couple’s six children. Pax made the cake. Zahara and Vivienne were flower girls. Shiloh and Knox were ring bearers. Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the aisle. The kids helped write the marital vows. The children’s drawings even adorned Jolie’s Versace wedding gown. And now, in a new interview, Jolie confesses that she had actually married Pitt before the summer wedding. But they legally had to. “Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California,” Jolie tells Italian magazine Io Donna. “As Americans, we couldn't marry legally in France.” Jolie insinuates that the couple’s first wedding was just as relaxed as the Château Miraval follow-up. “One day I said to Brad, ‘Let's meet up at 4:30 P.M.?’ I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents.” So . . . maybe not the most romantic of wedding descriptions.Previously, Jolie described how she feels following the couple’s wedding (or two). “It does feel different,” Jolie told Vanity Fair in the magazine’s December cover story, of her evolving relationship with Brad Pitt. “It feels nice to be husband and wife.” She also divulged some details about the vows their children wrote for them. “They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do. So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’ ”

Hollywood meets the Holy See! Tinseltown royalty Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are taking a very special trip to Rome this month, not to eat pasta and tour the Colosseum, but to meet the Pope, an insider reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly. The A-listers will fly to Italy in early January "for a VIP meet-and-greet at the Vatican with Pope Francis," the source says of the stars, who consider themselves nonreligious. Pitt, 51, grew up Baptist but later distanced himself from his faith, telling The Hollywood Reporter in 2012, "I don't have a great relationship with religion. I oscillate between agnosticism and atheism." That said, a friend tells Us that both the actor and his wife "admire the Pope" and "like the Pope's message." (Pope Francis is thought to be more tolerant than his predecessors; speaking about homosexuality in 2013, he famously said, "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who am I to judge?") The jet-setting stars have been busy in recent days with individual projects — Pitt was at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan. 3, while Jolie was spotted in Las Vegas — but arrangements for their visit are under way.

The latest cover issue of In Touch Weekly has a bombshell breakup story for its headline. IF the story happened to be true then Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could be headed for a breakup and divorce. Of course rumors of the demise of Brangelina’s relationship have been premature in the past and these might be no different. The paparazzi seems to have lucked out on pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie fighting, and of course, they have fashioned a headline suitable enough to fit the photos. The End! Brad Walks Out! What Caused The Split! Will He Return To Jennifer Aniston! Ok, I’m Making Some Of This Up! But You Get The Picture!Angelina Jolie is carrying what looks suspiciously like a cigarette butt in one of the photos, and that actually is a big surprise. Whether that’s weed, tobacco, or something else she’s smoking, it’s surprising at all to see that she still has one unhealthy habit remaining from her wilder, younger, crazier days. However, a ‘source’ claims that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie definitely, definitely had a serious fight. This same source tells In Touch Weekly, “They kept talking over each other and putting their hands up in anger. They were upset but getting nowhere. Angie looked like she was on the verge of tears.”
Well, that would explain the smoking. And all married couples [or for that matter, couples who have been together this long] fight, including celebrity couples such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. They’ve been together for ages, have six children together, and are obviously going to have some difficulties crop up now and again. That doesn’t mean that they’re BREAKING UP, even though the pictures certainly tell a nice story, huh?In Touch’s sources also claim that Brad and Angelina were distant from each other during the Australian premiere of Unbroken, but according to film insiders that were present at the premiere, that didn’t seem to be the case. What do you guys think? Would Brad Pitt ever actually ‘leave’ Angelina Jolie? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
