Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt made a "private pact" while filming By the Sea, their first film together in 10 years: "We were going to try to be as open and honest and emotive as possible and give to each other as much as we could," Jolie told The Telegraph, "and, succeed or fail, we would just lay it bare." The shoot, a working honeymoon in Malta, wasn't always smooth sailing, Jolie Pitt told the paper, in a candid discussion of the personal and professional work that went into the film. "There were days during filming last year when we were really worried and it was hard," she said. "But," she continued, "at the end we came out of it thinking, 'This was the best honeymoon,' because the film says, 'Whatever you go through, weather the storm and stick together.' " .Jolie Pitt, 40, said the couple thought By the Sea might be a similar filming experience as Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005 – "that kind of fun. " "But [we] realized very quickly that it wasn't," she said. "Then we joked that this is what happens after 10 years of marriage." Still, Jolie Pitt was clear that By the Sea, a drama about a marriage on the brink, which she wrote and directed, is not autobiographical."Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn't have made the film," she said."To be clear: we have fights and problems like any other couple. We have days when we drive each other absolutely mad and want space, but the problems in the movie aren't our specific problems," she said.Directing her husband, 51, for the first time posed its own challenges because Jolie Pitt said she knows the actor so well."These were very sensitive themes and I know Brad's triggers and what he can do and what he is thinking about, so I had to step away and just be very careful in how he was directed," Jolie Pitt said.She said she "tried to give him a safe space and tell him to trust me and I would do my best to protect him in the editing room if he would be as open and give me as much of himself and his emotions and his honesty – and he did." "I think he worked very hard," she said. "The strangest things were the scenes when we were fighting," she said, "and it was so weird trying to tell him to fight with me better." Pitt, for his part, told PEOPLE he has "no desire" to direct his wife: "I'd rather work for her."

For me, the big moment was when [we] signed the [joint adoption] papers for Maddox and Zahara,” Angie told the NYT. “That was a decision to parent together, to commit to being a part of each other’s lives for the rest of my life. So [marriage] wasn’t close in comparison. In a way, it was very casual.” She added, “The ceremony was in France, but we had to do things legally in California. One day I was in the edit room, and [Brad] was doing something and an assistant said, ‘You have to sign some papers.’ So we came back and between meetings we were told, ‘Here’s your license.’ Then someone said, ‘The judge is outside.’ We both said, ‘What do you mean, the judge is outside?’ Then the judge came in, this lovely guy, and at some point, Brad said, ‘Shouldn’t we be standing up?’ The judge said, ‘No.’ Then suddenly we realized we were married, in the most unceremonial way possible.” FYI: Angelina is wearing a Tom Ford gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Brad Pitt did NOT give Angelina Jolie a “divorce ultimatum,” despite a new tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can debunk the allegation. We’re told the report is 100 percent “untrue.” The new issue of Star hit newsstands on Wednesday with a cover alleging Jolie’s supposed “anorexia” is “tearing [the] family apart,” leading Pitt to make a “tough-love decision” and demand the actress “get help.” The accompanying story further claims Jolie and Pitt’s marriage is “on the brink” after a “year of fighting.” This is what the magazine came up with after years of false reporting about the couple.Star regurgitates its previous claims about a supposed argument between Pitt and Jolie from nearly a year ago, with a “source” calling it “perhaps the most bitter fight they’ve ever had.” The “source” goes on to allege, “They’ve continued to battle in some form or another over her health issues and weight loss ever since.” Now Jolie is said to be “in the grips of a grave health crisis related to her long-standing food issues.”A so-called “insider” proclaims Jolie to be thinner than ever before and weighing an “all-time low of 83 lbs,” and Star says “the situation has gotten so out of control” that Pitt “has resorted to drastic measures to get her into treatment. Its “insider” alleges, “He’s tried for months to help her, and Brad is at the end of his rope. He told her if she doesn’t check into rehab for her eating disorder, he’s leaving and taking the kids with him.” Star even goes as far as citing a “family and marriage therapist,” who has NEVER worked with Jolie and Pitt, as proof that she’s not “setting the best example for her children.” The doctor also talks about Jolie’s “anorexia” without ever having met her. The tabloid then dramatically ends it story with the supposed “insider” saying, “Brad told her he doesn’t want their kids exposed to this situation any longer, and he’s not going to stand by and watch while the mother of his children kills herself.”It’s all very alarming… Star’s story, that is. The outlet has a shameful history of making up claims about the couple, and using Jolie’s health and body to do so is the true “all-time low.” A source close to the stars tells Gossip Cop the report is “totally untrue,” not to mention despicable.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are opening up about their lives in a rare interview with legendary journalist Tom Brokaw, which aired on The Today Show on Monday morning (November 2).The 40-year-old actress and directer discussed how she used the same doctor to remove her ovaries who previously treated her late mother Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in 2007.“We had some of the same nurses, some of the same doctors,” Angelina said. “So, the doctor that did my ovary surgery was my mother’s doctor. And apparently my mother had said to her, ‘Promise me you will take Angie’s ovaries out.’ So when we kind of got together, we both had a big cry, and she said, ‘I promised your mother, and I gotta do this.’”During the interview, Brad praised his wife’s bravery and courage.“There was no vanity to my wife’s approach,” Brad said. “It was mature. ‘This is our life and we’re gonna make the best of it.’ There was a strength in that. It's even being rumored that the Unbroken director was pushing Pitt to let her bring home 3 new kids from the war torn country, but the Hollywood icon ultimately whittled her down to just one.Although it sounds more than just a little farfetched, Angelina Jolie is said to be throwing a monkey wrench in her marriage to Brad Pitt by suddenly seeming to develop feelings for their nanny, Lena Gould.While it's true that Jolie certainly hasn't been linked to a women in some time, Celeb Dirty Laundry insists that -- given her history -- rumors of Angie getting close to Lena can't be dismissed (via KpopStarz):"[Angie] acknowledged she had bonded with Lena in recent months, spending long nights talking and massaging each other's bodies."Angelina Jolie is openly bisexual, so it is not out of the realm of possibility for her to hook up with Lena Gould."

Angie has room in her heart for all the refugee children who are left orphaned, but only one is realistic."The child is being protected by security while waiting to reach U.S. soil."The expert that Radar Online spoke to explained that it's a good thing the child is being taken care of, because the adoption process could still take quite a while, despite Angie's A-list celebrity status:"It has been a very long process to adopt the Syrian orphan."The red tape has been almost impossible at times. It could take at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States."One or two more kids and Brad and Angie will be able to get their own reality TV show.
