'MALAFICENT' actress Angelina Jolie has said having a double mastectomy last year was "the right choice" for her family, and revealed she wants to tell her story to inspire women around the world. The 'Maleficent' actress underwent the preventative procedure in February 2013 after being told she had an 87 per cent chance of getting breast cancer, and she spoke out about her decision in order to help other women in similar positions. She told the Mail on Sunday newspaper's You magazine: "I didn't know how it would be received. But I felt that the important thing was that I wanted to speak to other women."I wanted to speak to other daughters of women like my mother [who died from ovarian cancer in 2007]. I wanted other women to be aware of something that they could take on and protect themselves from."I felt that I'd learnt something about my health, and I felt I'd made the right choice for my family and I simply wanted other women to know that there was that choice." Angelina is facing further surgery because she is genetically at risk of suffering from ovarian cancer, and she has been inspired by the support from women all over the world. She added: "It has been lovely and very moving; I've had so much support and kindness ... I'll get advice from all the wonderful people I've been talking to, to get through the next stage."

Will “Star” magazine ever get tired of claiming that celebrities are pregnant when they are obviously not? It appears not and this latest issue is proof. Angelina Jolie and her fiance Brad Pitt already have six children together and apparently they think that the high profile couple needs another child added into the mix.To celebrate ten years with Brad, the magazine thinks that it’s necessary to give them a fake baby. It’s a so-called “miracle” baby that the two reportedly conceived using IVF. Angie is quoted as saying that they feel so blessed and the magazine states that she has already gained a total of twelve pounds. In addition, the happy couple informed their brood of six that she was expecting child number seven this year. How lovely…if any of it were true.Surely there are some supermarket moms somewhere in the world that are buying this nonsense because the tabloids continue to print it. Next week, they will have a cover story on how someone in the spotlight is “pregnant and alone (or betrayed…or both). Do you want to take guesses on who they could be thinking of impregnating next week?

Angelina Jolie caused quite the frenzy after appearing on the red carpet—but it had nothing to do with peculiar Louboutin pumps or her Maleficent-themed dresses. While supporting her fiance Brad Pitt's new HBO drama The Normal Heart on May 12 in New York City, Jolie showed off her slim figure in a strapless black dress by Saint Laurent and simple black pumps. However, the splotches of white powder on the Maleficent star's face and decolletage distracted from the otherwise chic look, leaving Us to wonder, "Why would she go out like that?" The likely story is that Jolie, 38, was unaware that there was any makeup malfunction at all."What looks perfect in normal lighting can appear totally different when you have the harsh lights of flashing cameras on you," Mark celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg tells Us Weekly. "Many women think you can just touch up with any powder for a red carpet event, but all powders have different finishing textures." Jolie's Monday night makeup debacle wasn't her first offense. On May 9, white powder was also visible on her legs at a photo call in London.

The lady was a vamp! Now-demure Angelina Jolie is quite the vixen in long lost photoshoot taken when she was a budding 20-year-old actress

She is the mother of six children, a United Nations Special Envoy and Oscar winning actress. But now, a long lost photo shoot is serving as a timely reminder of Angelina Jolie's wilder days of youth.Taken back in 1995 when she was just 20-years-old and on the cusp of fame, the set of shots show Angelina vamping it up for the camera in feathered jacket and short black mini dress. In those days, the star was a little fuller in the face but still possessed enviably slender legs and a svelte physique.More tellingly, she displays the charisma and allure which helped catapult her to fame, pulling an array of faces, grabbing her cleavage and pouting provocatively at the camera. The photos were taken by Los Angeles photographer Marcel Indik in October 1995 shortly after the release of Angelina's film Hackers where she met first husband Jonny Lee MIller. 'I'll never forget, the way she posed, the way she moved in front of the lens, I knew she was special,' says Indik.'Her body language and facial expression were in tune. She was fearless, fun, no attitude, just there to create amazing, legendary images.'Some of the images, shot on slide film, were published in a 1997 magazine article - but the majority of the snaps have remained unreleased until now.Following the release of Hackers, Angelina married Trainspotting star Miller in March 1996, typing the knot in a white shirt with the groom's name written in blood on the back. But the couple separated with their divorce finalised in 1999.
Angelina, who is currently promoting her new film Maleficent - a Sleeping Beauty re-imagining - cuts a dramatically more demure figure on the cover of this month's Elle magazine. In an accompanying interview, she refers to her wild youth as misinterpreted, with famous antics including kissing her brother James Haven on the Oscars red carpet back in 2000 and carrying ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton’s blood around her neck.'In fact it wasn't a need to be destructive or rebellious - it’s that need to find a full voice, to push open the walls around you,' she tells the magazine. The daughter of actor Jon Voight and late actress and model Marcheline Bertrand added: 'As a young, curious person you want to be free. And as you start to feel that you are being corralled into a certain life, you kind of push against it.'It may come out very strange, it may be interpreted wrong, but you’re trying to find out who you are.As a child born into the world of Hollywood, Angelina learned early on to live life to the fullest.‘I realised that very young - that a life where you don’t live to your full potential, or you don’t experiment, or you’re afraid, or you hesitate, or there are things you know you should do but you just don’t get around to them, is a life that I’d be miserable living,' she revealed.'And the only way to feel that I’m on the right path is just to be true to myself, whatever that may be, and that tends to come with stepping out of something that’s maybe safe or traditional,’ she said.
