Angelina Jolie is not going to have a “showdown” with Jennifer Aniston, despite a new tabloid cover story falsely announcing a “reunion” for Aniston and ex-husband Brad Pitt. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report.Wednesday’s new cover of In Touch declares, “Angelina Takes On Jen” and “Explosive Showdown… After Brad Reunites With Jen.” Mind you, this is coming from the same outlet that wrongly said Jolie and Aniston were having a showdown in 2014 (see cover below). It’s also the same publication that inaccurately said just last month that Pitt and Aniston were both divorcing their respective spouses, setting the stage for a reconciliation.That, of course, hasn’t happened, but the new edition of the magazine claims Pitt reconnected with Aniston in the wake of her mother’s death, leading Jolie to “go nuclear.” A so-called “friend” is quoted as saying, “She accused him of talking with Jen behind her back. She was furious they’d reunited. She went ballistic and was in tears.”It’s said Jolie then “told Brad she is calling for a face-to-face sit-down with Jen once and for all to clear the air. The showdown has already begun. Angie’s gotten word to Jen through her handlers that she wants a sit-down in the coming weeks.” The supposed source goes on to claim, “Angie’s greatest fear is that in a classic case of what goes around comes around, Brad could someone how end up back in Jen’s arms.“She’s heard that Jen’s been having marriage with Justin Theroux,” continues the alleged tipster, “and Angie wants to make it clear that Brad is hers and hers alone.” As for Pitt, the “friend” tells the outlet, “Brad thought the Angelina-Jennifer war was long dead and buried. But he was clearly wrong.” No, it’s In Touch that’s wrong. The “war” between Aniston and Jolie only continues in the pages of the tabloids, which rather write about fantasy than report on reality. After all, the magazine spent the last two weeks insisting Aniston is happily pregnant with Theroux’s baby, a claim that’s nowhere mentioned in this new love triangle tale.That’s because the magazine seemingly just goes with any sensational angle it can find on a given week, accuracy and consistency be damned. And this new cover story is just as inaccurate as the previous allegation that Aniston is expecting. There is no Jolie-Aniston “showdown” in the works, just as there wasn’t in 2014. Angelina Jolie opened up about her decision to share details of her preventative cancer treatment.The mother-of-six who had a double mastectomy in 2013 and her ovaries removed in 2015, spoke about her health battle during a guest editor slot on BBC Radio 4 show Woman's Hour where she also discussed women's health and the plight of refugees.In 2013, the actress revealed in an opinion piece for the New York Times she had an 87 per cent risk of breast cancer and a 50 per cent risk of ovarian cancer because she carried the "faulty" gene, BRCA1.When asked why she went public about her cancer treatment, Angelina explained: "When you go through something and you learn about yourself and your body and anything medical you feel, it really wasn't a decision. It was just that I thought that I had gained information that I wish my mother had have known and I wish she had the option." Angelina, 41, also expressed her sadness that her late mother Marcheline Bertrand, who died in 2007 following an eight-year battle with ovarian cancer, didn't have the same option due to limited information, which robbed of her of "more time" with her family."I wish she had the surgery in fact and it might have given her more years with my family and I wanted to just speak with other women and talk about options," she expressed. "That is simply that, it is an option. I don't encourage every woman to make the decision I made but I think it is really important that we all share anything we learn." The Changeling star, who is a Special Envoy to the United Nations, later described her distress at discovering that Namibian hospitals had no ultrasound machines for pregnant women when she was carrying daughter Shiloh, now 10. Shiloh who was in breech, which means she was positioned in the womb with her buttocks or feet first, and if it were not for her personal wealth, the actress said she would not have survived."I needed a C-section and I knew I was in breech because I had had the money to have an ultrasound. But I found even the local hospital with many, many women and this was a good hospital did not have an ultrasound machine," she recalled."A woman like me in a camp with two babies in breech with twins probably wouldn't have survived and probably wouldn't have made it this far if I was a refugee."

Angelina Jolie is part of another power duo.A source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly that the actress, 40, has "struck up a close friendship" with a British House of Lords member, Baroness Arminka Helic.The insider explains that the Unbroken director, who moved to London with husband Brad Pitt and their six children in February, "is readying herself for what could be a full-time commitment with the British government." Adds the source, "Arminka helps Angelina make decisions about her next political move. Angie considers her a mentor." The political pals' relationship dates back to 2012, when Helic was an aide to British foreign secretary William Hague. The actress and Hague partnered on an anti–sexual violence initiative that year. In 2012, the UN High Commissioner Antonio Guterres appointed Miss Jolie as his Special Envoy.Then in 2014, after two years of campaigning, Miss Jolie and Mr Hague launched a new international protocol which they hope will 'shatter the culture of impunity' around sexual violence in war.Over 155 countries have endorsed the declaration of commitment to end sexual violence in conflict.Meanwhile Brad was able to throw himself into character as he filmed scenes for new World War II drama, Allied (previously referred to as Five Seconds Of Silence) in Southern England on Monday.Braving the rain, the 52-year-old actor put on a harrowing display as he crawled over to co-star Lizzy Caplin next to a fighter jet, who had previously been filmed carrying a gun across the airfield.Meanwhile, it was also revealed on Monday that Jolie will be returning for a second Maleficent movie. A tentative release date for Maleficent 2 has been set for May 2017.
