Brooklynn Prince will star in the film written by Mike White ('School of Rock'), adapting the Newbery Medal-winning book by Katherine Applegate and illustrated by Patricia Castelao.Brooklynn Prince, the breakout lead of acclaimed indie drama The Florida Project, may have just nabbed her first big studio feature.Prince is in talks to join Angelina Jolie in The One and Only Ivan, Disney's adaptation of the Newbery Medal-winning book written by Katherine Applegate and illustrated by Patricia Castelao.Thea Sharrock, director of the tearjerker Me Before You, is helming Ivan, which has a script by Mike White and is intended to be a live-action hybrid. Prince and Jolie will make up part of the voice cast for the movie.Published by HarperCollins in 2011, the book centers on a silverback gorilla named Ivan who lives in a cage in a shopping mall along with an elephant named Stella and a stray dog called Bob. Ivan does not remember life before the mall, but when a baby elephant named Ruby enters and Ivan finds himself taking care of her, he begins to rediscover his previous life and concocts a plan to take the baby elephant away from their abusive owner.Prince will voice Ruby, opposite Jolie’s Stella.Casting searches are underway to play the human characters.Brigham Taylor (The Jungle Book) has boarded the project as a producer, joining Allison Shearmur — who was one of the producers on Disney’s live-action take on Cinderella as well as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story — and Jolie.The Florida Project, which is slowly being unspooled by A24, has been generating major buzz this awards season.Prince recently signed with UTA, and is also repped by Thirty Three Management and Hansen Jacobson.

Amal Clooney did not “reject” a “peace offering” from Angelina Jolie, nor did the Oscar winner extend an “olive branch” to the human rights lawyer. These are false claims being spread online by two sister outlets. And now Gossip Cop can expose them both.On its website, Star is announcing, “Dissed! Amal Clooney Rejects Angelina Jolie’s Peace Offering.” In the article, the tabloid declares, “Amal Clooney does not want to be friends with Angelina Jolie. George Clooney’s wife has snubbed mother-of-six Jolie after she reached-out to her.” According to the gossip magazine, the actress “tried to mend their friendship,” but Clooney was “not interested.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Angie went out of her way to try and mend fences, reasoning there’s a lot of water under the bridge and life’s too short for petty grudges. But Amal was bemused at the suggestions she would want to socialize with a woman she barely knows – let alone has any respect for! She turned her down flat!” For a similarly-written story, RadarOnline is blaring, “Cold Shoulder: No Thanks! Amal Clooney Snubs Angelina Jolie’s Olive Branch For Friendship.” The post is penned almost the exact same way, with the subtlest of word changes. For instance, instead of just “George Clooney’s wife,” as Star says, this piece uses the phrase, “George’s Clooney’s British lawyer wife.” But line by line, the claims are the same. Like its print counterpart, the webloid goes on to assert, “This snub infuriated Jolie who thought that her approach would be warmly welcomed at a time when she admitted that her divorce from Brad Pitt has been very difficult.” And both outlets quote the “insider” as claiming, “She’s got no idea why Amal and George for that matter have an issue with her. Angie wanted them to be friends since they have so much in common and Brad’s not standing in the way anymore. But now she accepts it’s not going to happen.” Absurdly, RadarOnline ends its version by saying, “To make matters worse the Clooneys were recently photographed with Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso in Italy recently,” as if the actors promoting a movie with their spouses should have any bearing on Jolie. More importantly, though, is that both publications are peddling the same allegations because they were seemingly made up by the same company, in which the staffs of its individual outlets apparently share resources, including manufactured claims. Though the tabloids have spent years trying to push a Jolie-Clooney feud narrative simply because the women aren’t close friends, there’s no truth to these two new stories about the movie star extending a “peace offering” and “olive branch,” only to be “rejected” and “snubbed” by the attorney. A rep for the Clooneys even confirms to Gossip Cop that the articles have no merit and are fictional.

Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we’ve exclusively learned the truth.According to In Touch, Robbie received the cold shoulder when she approached the fellow actress at the awards gala earlier this month. A so-called “source” tells the magazine that the Suicide Squad star attempted to introduce herself to Jolie, who allegedly responded, “I know who you are” and then “turned her back.” The outlet’s dubious insider further contends Robbie “looked shocked ” that her “friendliness wasn’t reciprocated by Angelina.” The questionable source goes on to theorize that the supposed snub is related to Robbie’s cameo appearance in Brad Pitt’s 2015 movie The Big Short. “Rumors swirled about Brad crushing on Margot and that Angelina had tried to stop Brad from casting Margot in the film. It was clear from Angelina’s reaction to Margot that she still holds a grudge.” However, Gossip Cop already debunked this phony narrative last year after HollywoodLife used it to baselessly accuse Robbie of causing Pitt and Jolie’s divorce. Regardless of this entire article being based on a false premise, Gossip Cop still checked in with sources connected to the event, none of whom heard anything about Jolie brushing off the actress. It also seems odd that In Touch was the only media outlet to witness this supposed snub considering that the high-profile gala was attended by many members of the press. All of the reputable publications that covered the event, such as Vanity Fair, observed both Robbie and Jolie behind the scenes and made no mention of any conflict between the two. It should be noted, In Touch is the same unreliable outlet that Gossip Cop busted last week for wrongly reporting Jolie is secretly getting married to a wealthy British philanthropist. Clearly, the frequently discredited tabloid isn’t the best source for accurate news about the actress.

One of the webloids is attempting to create a feud between Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz, but the alleged drama is completely made-up. The bogus article claims Cruz is upset about the fellow actress working with her husband Javier Bardem in the upcoming Bride of Frankenstein remake, but the story is inaccurate on several levels. Gossip Cop can exclusively clear up the situation.Bardem is on board to star as Frankenstein’s monster in the second film in Universal’s “Dark Universe” franchise, which began with this summer’s The Mummy. The studio wants Jolie for the role of the monster’s bride, but she’s yet to sign on to the project. In fact, recent reports indicated the actress isn’t even in negotiations with Universal just yet. But that didn’t stop RadarOnline from concocting a story saying Cruz is unhappy about her husband’s “working relationship” with Jolie on film’s “set.” A supposed “insider” tells the site, “Penelope has never been a fan of Angelina’s, partly because of her reputation as a man-eater but also because she considers her a sanctimonious, self-obsessed bore. The idea of her working with Javier gives Penelope the creeps, big time.” The outlet then quotes a so-called “on-set mole” as saying, “There’s an expectation Angie will walk onto this set as queen bee, throwing her ego around and expecting the likes of Javier to act as her underling… He may be okay letting her walk all over him, but Penelope isn’t.” Once again, not only has shooting on the film yet to begin, but Jolie hasn’t even accepted the role yet. The webloid would know this had it bothered to do a minimal amount of research. Although the majority of the site’s story is provably untrue, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation to see if Cruz is put off by the idea of Jolie working with her husband, and we’re exclusively assured that scenario is “false” as well.Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk a phony story regarding Jolie’s involvement in the Bride of Frankenstein remake. We recently busted RadarOnline’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting Kristen Stewart was replacing Jolie in the title role. That article was entirely untrue and the same goes for this latest one.
