       Basically, Angelina (as co-producer) and the producers wanted to mimic the original 'Sleeping Beauty' film as closely as possible. So, the looks of the characters had to match up with Disney's original. To that end, Anya would have made a great Aurora! But part of the problem may have been Taylor-Joy's, at the time, inexperience. As Buzzfeed related, 'Maleficent' was the actress's first real audition! Of the experience, Anya noted, "It was my first experience of rejection, like true rejection. And it was Disney which, for me, was like, 'Oh my god,' even though I look nothing like [Angelina Jolie]. I definitely cried for a very long time after that happened." TBH, Anya could probably pull off Aurora, but it might be more fun to see her in a more Maleficent-esque role...Of course, there's plenty more to come from Taylor-Joy now that 'The Queen's Gambit' is over. Who knows what direction she'll go next. She may even wind up a Disney princess in the end!

Since it’s been a year, we’re taking a look back on that story to see if we got it right. Aniston Disses Marvel, Actually Meant Jolie.In an interview with Variety, the Leprechaun star said she had no interest in being in the “big Marvel movies” which were “diminishing” the movie industry. The Globe took those comments and made said they were a pointed attack on Jolie. An insider said, “Jen's never cared about these action-packed fantasy movies before, but all of a sudden she's slamming them just when Angie begins filming her first Marvel movie.” It was some form of revenge because Aniston “hates Angie more than ever for stealing [Brad Pitt] and then splitting from him.”  Gossip Cop busted this story at the time because it really didn’t make much sense. Aniston was asked directly if she wanted to do a Marvel movie and answered accordingly. We still checked in with a spokesperson for Aniston who dismissed the report as nonsense. What’s Happened Since? The Office Space star hasn’t commented on Marvel movies since that initial interview. The Eternals are expected to come out in November 2021. Jolie’s partnership with Marvel has led to a slew of bogus rumors, so many that we’ve actually collected some of the random rivalries invented by the tabloids. It also claimed that Jolie had turned to witchcraft in an attempt to win her custody battle against Pitt. Just because Jolie played a witch in a movie does not mean she’s doing “voodoo rituals” in real life.Don’t worry, Aniston is not left out in the bogus stories department. The Globe recently said she was starving herself over Pitt. Back in January, this tabloid claimed Jolie was starving herself over Pitt. Everyone’s starving to death over Brad Pitt, apparently. There’s no truth to these stories, and just exemplify how little insight this tabloid has into these movie stars' lives.Aniston was simply responding to a question. It’s honestly more likely that Aniston wouldn’t know Jolie was working with Marvel, since there’s only been a few panels and no trailers to speak of. Globe forgot this story as soon as it published it, which further proves that it was completely false.

And she was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, so instead of talking about her pregnancy, which is her right to avoid, she gave us a good nugget about the time she took her mother to the Golden Globes and they were seated next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. By the way, at one point The Queen’s Gambit comes up and she hasn’t seen it yet which is interesting to me because she and Anya Taylor Joy could totally play sisters. Anyway, about Brange… It was Emma’s first time, she was nominated for Easy A. And even though it’s obviously a glamourous occasion and she was just beginning her ascent, there’s nothing like mom to ground you. Because moms, and I know you’re out there, and for those of us lucky enough to have one, they can be mortifying. Especially when they get tipsy. LOLOLOLOL. If you want to watch, it starts at around 7:15 of the video below. Although it’s not super gossipy, it’s just cute, and Emma is so cute and natural and it’s good to get some Emma Stone content because she hasn’t been up in our faces through this pandemic. Of course since Brange is mentioned, Emma’s anecdote is getting some play. Which is my segue to post these new photos of Angelina shopping for crafts ahead of Thanksgiving yesterday in LA with Vivienne. Just from their paparazzi shopping photos alone, I feel like they are BUSY with activities in that house. Is Angelina a crafty mom? Is she, like, making homemade Thanksgiving and holiday season decorations? Are she and the kids making their own ornaments for the Christmas tree? It’s not really the image we have of her.
