It looks like Angelina Jolie has snubbed her father once again. Angelina Jolie and her father, Ray Donovan actor Jon Voight, have an estranged relationship that the public is fully aware of. Jolie first snubbed her father last year when she did not invite Jon Voight to her secret wedding to Brad Pitt. Later, we found out that Jon Voight did not even know about the wedding and that Angelina Jolie had kept it a secret from her own father. This year, Jon Voight was spotted on Father’s Day, which was Sunday, June 21, and he was, once again, all alone. Jon Voight was seen hanging around in Los Aneles, California going to lunch by himself, while Jolie completely ignored her father and was nowhere to be found.Last year, when Jon Voight found out that his daughter Angelina Jolie had not invited him to the wedding, he spoke with Good Morning Britain and revealed that despite their strained relationship, he had no hard feelings over the matter. He said, “You know what they are very happy. The kids must have had a wonderful time at the wedding, they all had their things to do and it must have been very beautiful so I’m very happy for them.” Angelina Jolie has always been painted as catty and difficult to work with, and we can only imagine how her father must feel being ignored by his own daughter. Despite whatever troubles they have faced in their past, Jon Voight has made it known that he does not harbor any negative feelings to Jolie, and has even defended her when she did not win an Oscar, which he felt she deserved. So where was Angelina Jolie on Father’s Day? Daily Mail UK reports that on Saturday, June 20, Angelina Jolie was speaking at a press conference in Mardin, Turkey to discuss the the wrongdoings going on at a Syrian refugee camp. Jolie, who serves as a United Nations High Commissioner for refugees, made it known that the treatment of these refugees was inhuman and that more needs to be done to “help the people flooding into Europe.”What do you think? Does Angelina Jolie get a pass since she was doing something good, or should she stil have made time for her father Jon Voight on Father’s Day?

Jon Voight Sends Message About President Obama And Israel: Is Angelina Jolie Next?

Jon Voight is not one to remain silent. Voight sent an exclusive video to Just Jared on Saturday night, showing his support of Israel while condemning President Obama.“I love Israel. I want to see Israel survive and not be overtaken by the mad men of this world,” Jon Voight said. Then, Mr. Voight continued with harsh words towards Obama.“President Obama does not love Israel. His whole agenda is to control Israel. In this way, he can be friends with all of Israel’s enemies. He doesn’t want Bibi Netanyahi to win this upcoming election. America has not been the same since his presidency. I beg all of you to understand the truth.” John Voight has been very outspoken about his support for Israel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Voight wrote a pretty harsh letter to Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, both who publicly condemned Israel. “My name is Jon Voight and I am more than angry, I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused. They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921, and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half.” Jon Voight then asked all those in Hollywood who signed the “poison letter” against Israel to examine their motives. Voight accused them of helping to stroke the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world. “You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America. Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera? You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good. Instead, you have defamed the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East: Israel. You should hang your heads in shame. You should all come forth with deep regrets for what you did, and ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel.” Though it has been rumored that Voight’s daughter Angelina Jolie agrees with her father, don’t expect the hotter-than-hot actress to make her support for Israel public. Doing so would cause a backlash that would hurt the most admired actress in Hollywood. Do you agree with Jon Voight about Israel? Tell us in the comments section.

Angelina Jolie wasn't nominated for an Academy Award this year and her father, Jon Voight, thinks she should have been. The actor raved about his daughter's World War II film Unbroken and told reporters at Clive Davis' Grammys party that she should have been one of the nominees for Best Director."I wish she had [been nominated], because I think she deserved it," Voight said, according to Vulture. "I think her direction is astounding, really astounding, and if she wasn’t my daughter, I’d still say, 'I want to work for that one.' She’s a great actor’s director — the pace of the film, the size of the film. Unbelievably difficult stuff that she accomplished."

Jon Voight: Angelina Jolie’s father accuses Penelope Cruz of 'inciting anti-Semitism' with Gaza 'genocide' letter

Jon Voight has accused Penelopé Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem of 'inciting anti-Semitism' after they signed an open letter condemning the Israeli government’s Palestinian 'genocide'.The couple, along with some of Spain’s biggest entertainment names, signed a group letter calling for a stronger response by the European Union to stop Israel's military operation – ‘Protective Edge’ – in the Gaza strip. It stated that Israel "humiliates, detains, and tramples on the rights of the Palestinian population in all of the West Bank every day, also causing many deaths" and destroying homes while "the international community does nothing".After receiving a barrage of criticism and being labelled an ‘anti-Semite’ for pledging their support, Cruz and Bardem issued a clarifying statement a day later, explaining that her "only wish and intention" in signing the group letter was to promote "peace in both Israel and Gaza".But Voight, the veteran actor and father of Angelina Jolie, is yet to have been appeased by their comments. The screen star, who is pro-Israel, decided to pen a strongly worded open letter of his own in response to the acting couple, published in full on Variety."My name is Jon Voight and I am more than angry," it begins. "I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused.“They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921, and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half. "The Arabs rejected the offer, and the Jews accepted, only to be attacked by five surrounding Arab countries committed to driving them into the sea."He goes on to claim that Israel, after years of being at war with the Palestinian people, gave them the Gaza strip as a gesture of peace."What was the response?" he writes. "The Palestinians elected Hamas, a terrorist organization, and they immediately began firing thousands of rockets into Israel."After years of trying to make peace, the wars they had to fight, being attacked by their enemies, and still being attacked, and finally after years of running into bomb shelters and having hundreds of civilians killed by suicide bombers, civilians being killed in their sleep, stabbed to pieces, finding enough is enough and finally retaliating, instead of my peers sticking up for the only democratic country in that region, they go and take out poison letters against them."
"You have forgotten how this war started. Did Hamas not kidnap and kill three young teenagers for the sake of killing, and celebrated after the killing? What a travesty of justice."He ends the piece by pleading for famous names in the entertainment industry to re-address their anti-IDF stances."I am asking all my peers who signed that poison letter against Israel to examine their motives. Can you take back the fire of anti-Semitism that is raging all over the world now?"You have been able to become famous and have all your monetary gains because you are in a democratic country: America. Do you think you would have been able to accomplish this in Iran, Syria, Lebanon, et cetera? "You had a great responsibility to use your celebrity for good. Instead, you have defamed the only democratic country of goodwill in the Middle East: Israel."You should hang your heads in shame," he concludes. "You should all come forth with deep regrets for what you did, and ask forgiveness from the suffering people in Israel."Cruz and Bardem are yet to respond to his letter.Voight isn’t the only famous person who has pledged their support for the IDF. Wonder Woman Gal Gadot stirred some controversy with this post, while Bill Maher shocked with this Twitter quip. Joan Rivers defended the Israeli government’s military offensive with this. Those who have declared their support for the Palestinian cause include Zayn Malik, Rihanna and Russell Brand.

Jon Voight: Angelina Jolie Should Play Michele Bachmann In a Movie

As the midterm elections draw nigh, so too does the end of of Michele Bachmann's career in the US House of Representatives, and minds shift to what the Minnesota Loon will do in her post-legislative career. Run for President? Go on Fox and get paid to talk out of her ass about Islam, like, as a job? Be the subject of a sweeping biopic? For those of you who aren't simultaneously delighted and horrified by Michele Bachmann so intensely that you have a Michele Bachmann Google news alert, some bad news: the Minnesota Congresswoman is not running for reelection. Only a racist snowman made of sparkling white sugar and bleached evil could possibly come close to replacing her, and she's not quite sure yet what her next move will be.Buried in a long Washington Post piece about Bachmann's professional future is this little nugget of pure dumb joy from famous Michele Bachmann fanboy and Angelina Jolie sire Jon Voight. Actor and close friend Jon Voight said he'd talk to his friends at Fox News on her behalf. As far as he's concerned, Bachmann is already a star. If there were ever to be a movie about her life, he said, his daughter Angelina Jolie would be great for the part. "Actually, that was not a wise thing for me to say, because her politics are not with Michele," he said later. "I only wish they would be." Hope isn't lost, Voight. Maybe if Ang and the gang fall into Nicholas Cage levels of debt and she has to start taking every part offered to her in order to pay off her fleet of child-sized platinum motorcycles, then this beautiful trainwreck of a film can be spirited into being. Until then we can only cherish every day left in Bachmann's career in Congress.

Angelina Jolie's dad, actor Jon Voight, told Us Weekly at The Wrap's First Annual Emmy Celebration on June 5 in Los Angeles that his granddaughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt's acting debut in Maleficent was "wonderful" and reminded him of when Jolie made her own debut alongside him back in 1982."Magnificent. She's wonderful," the Oscar-winning actor revealed of the 5-year-old's big screen debut as young Princess Aurora."It was a very lovely moment to see Angie with her on screen, and they were terrific together. It was just great," Voight gushed.Despite Jolie's fiance Brad Pitt getting attacked by red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk at the May 28 premiere in Hollywood, Voight went on to say it was a "great night.""It's the most wonderful thing when you see your little granddaughter, just like when I saw Angie on the screen, you know," he said in reference to when Jolie first made her acting debut at age 4 alongside him in 1982's Lookin' to Get Out.When asked if Vivienne and Jolie's debuts were similar, Voight said you can't compare them because "each one is themselves." He added, "But it was really a knockout to see her. I'm telling you. It was great.
