         Michelle Obama is now the most admired woman in the world, beating out former title holder Angelina Jolie.According to a new poll by YouGov, the former first lady also rose above Oprah Winfrey (who ranks second this year), Queen Elizabeth II (who ranks fourth) and Emma Watson (who ranks fifth).Jolie moved down two rankings, going from from first last year to third in 2019, while Winfrey moved up from third to second.Things have stayed the same in the men's top five ranking: Bill Gates in first, Barack Obama in second, Jackie Chan in third, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in fourth and businessman Jack Ma in fifth.More than 42,000 people from 41 countries were interviewed to determine the lists, the YouGov website states.

Daniel Craig’s James Bond topped the list of sexiest male characters with 22 percent of votes followed by comic book characters Chris Hemsworth’s hammer throwing Thor in second (18 percent) and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in third (17 percent).George Clooney as Danny Ocean – from the 2001 heist blockbuster Ocean’s Eleven came in fourth place with 17 percent.The new research by character-centric movie platform www.chili.com reveals how much a hot lead impacts on our movie experience, with 86 percent of Brits chosing to watch a film because they have the hots for the main character.According to the data a third of those polled admitted they would struggle to keep their cool if they met their on-screen crush in real life.And it seems fiction is even sexier than reality with the majority of Brits (52 percent) claiming they fancy sexy characters in films more than the actors who actually play them (48 percent).CHILI founder and CEO, Giorgio Tacchia said: “Our research shows characters make us fall in love with films – some of the biggest hits and most popular franchises are built on the connection film fans feel for the leading man or lady.“People don’t just watch characters, they feel for them, fall for them and even lust after them.               $254 million were earned by the top 10 highest-paid actresses in the world.Forbes has released one of its annual lists focusing on the exuberant amount of money involved in showbiz, this one, focusing on the highest-earning actresses.The outlet noticed that because of theater closures, 2020 has been an odd year for actors' paychecks, as stars often earn bonuses based on the commercial success of a movie.Female-led films like "Black Widow" and "Wonder Woman 1984" are expected to make several hundred million dollars, if not join the billion-dollar club once they debut in theaters.Because of the year's strange circumstances, eight of the top 10 earning actresses made the bulk of their cash from TV and streaming. Of course, endorsements and licensing deals pad some of the entries' earnings.At number one is Sofia Vergara ($43 million), who wrapped up "Modern Family" this year while earning $500,000 per episode. She now works as a judge on "America's Got Talent," which pays her at least $10 million per season, the outlet reports.Angelina Jolie ($35.5 million) sits at number two as one of the only entries earning the bulk of her money from traditional films, including her big check for Marvel's upcoming "The Eternals," which was set for release this fall before the pandemic shifted release schedules.At number three is Gal Gadot ($31.5 million), having earned $20 million for filming Netflix's "Red Notice." "Wonder Woman 1984" is currently set for a December release, as is "Death on the Nile" -- both could bring in more cash for the star after their release.Melissa McCarthy ($25 million) comes in at number four. At number seven, Nicole Kidman ($22 million) joined Streep in earning eight figures for "The Prom" and will earn about $1 million per episode for her upcoming HBO miniseries "The Undoing." "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo ($19 million) comes in at number eight. The star now earns about $550,000 per episode and nets $6 million per year in syndication profits.Elisabeth Moss ($16 million) of "Handmaid's Tale" fame comes in at number nine. The actress makes $1 million per episode and "Invisible Man" made much more than expected this year.Rounding out the list at number 10 is Viola Davis.        Hollywood has a newly minted queen.Scarlett Johansson has topped Forbes’ annual ranking of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses, surpassing Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston who came in at number two and three, respectively.Emma Stone claimed the spot in 2017 with a cool $26 million, but Johansson — who has a number of Marvel films under her belt — brought in a huge $40.5 million this year, Forbes reported.Marvel’s Avengers films are certainly a big reason for the actress’ earnings, with another film on the way which will feature Johansson’s Black Widow in 2019.Johansson released two movies in 2017, Rough Night and Ghost in the Shell, for which she earned backlash for portraying a Japanese character.This year, the actress has starred in Isle of Dogs and Avengers: Infinity War.The Avengers: Infinity War actress was followed closely by Jolie who came in at No. 2 with $28 million for the year.Behind Jolie is longtime fan favorite Aniston who earned $19.5 million, who made most of her earnings from lucrative deals with Emirates airlines, Smartwater and Aveeno, the magazine reported.Jennifer Lawrence comes in at No. 4, with Reese Witherspoon just behind her with $16.5 million from recent success in producing and starring in Big Little Lies.Others rounding out the list include Cate Blanchett ($12.5 million) and Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot ($10 million).
