With temperatures hitting highs of nearly 40C in Australia it’s no surprise that Angelina Jolie doesn’t like to be parted from her favourite straw hat.The star, who has been spotted on the set of her new movie Unbroken wearing the wide-brimmed hat several times, looked like she was struggling in the heat down under.Wearing a black vest and a black pair of skinny jeans the 38-year-old might want to think about adjusting her outfit to co-ordinate with her hat – and keep her cool.Hot hot hot! Angelina Jolie was out in the Australian heat wearing a straw hat. It's a scorcher: The star looked like she was struggling a little in the beating midday heat. The actress was spotted walking around the set of Unbroken – a movie she is directing while her fiancé Brad Pitt is shooting Fury in England. With an all-black outfit on she had her hair hanging loosely in large waves until she took the time to plait it to one side, keeping her cooler in the heat. The star wore aviator sunglasses as she strolled around the set where earlier in the week she had been spotted directing dozens of actors in a scene based around a train station.Unbroken is drama that covers the life of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II.Garrett Hedlund, Jack O'Connell and Alex Russell star in the epic drama and the Coen brothers worked on the script. The movie, which is expected to be released on Christmas day in 2014, has been shooting Down Under for the past two months.Earlier in the week not only did the director chuck her customary black attire in favour of more cheerful colours, but she also stopped to take selfies with young fans and even told the crowd, 'G'day everyone' as she smiled happily.Great fans: Earlier that week the star, in her new favourite hat, took selfies with her adoring fans. The set was at an old train station in Australia's Werris Creek, New South Wales; the actress was seen talking to her film's actors who were dressed in vintage dresses and suits. At one point the actress turned director - who last was behind the camera for In The Land Of Blood And Honey - turned to a sea of fans and said, 'Do you like all the 1920s stuff?' according to an onlooker.Maybe it was a visit from hunky long-term-partner Brad Pitt that boosted her spirits, as the pair were seen taking to a yacht on Sydney Harbour later that day.

Angelina Jolie “Tragic Collapse” On Movie Set – Crew Thinks She’s Dying?

The latest cover issue of the National Enquirer claims that Angelina Jolie had a ‘tragic collapse’ on the set of her movie, Unbroken, in Australia. As we know, Unbroken marks Angelina’s second directorial collaboration, but her rumored weight loss and exhaustive schedule are apparently getting to her.A source tells the Enquirer, “Exhausted from overwork and a punishing travel schedule, a rail-thin Angelina Jolie suffered a frightening collapse on her Australian film set! When Angelina dropped to the ground, some of the cast and crew weren’t sure what was going on. Then, they rushed to her side, believing she was seriously ill — or worse, dead! She was sickly pale and gasping for air. But Angie refused to be taken to the hospital. After she composed herself, she assured everyone she was fine and went right back to work.” There’s a lot of points to address in this story. First of all, there’s no doubt that Angelina’s a very, very skinny woman, maybe unhealthily so. The tabloids claim she’s 93 pounds, and while that’s a very exact figure to be estimated so wildly, it’s probably not far off from the truth. But Angelina’s been that skinny for a very long time, almost 6 years. That being said, she did go through some major medical procedures earlier this year, and staying at such a low weight while trying to wrangle six children and also direct a movie on a strict schedule isn’t conducive to anyone’s health. But even then, if Angelina did collapse on the movie set, we’d be hearing about it from outlets such as E! Online and CNN, not the National Enquirer. There are usually dozens and dozens of people on film sets, sometimes even hundreds, and there’s no way Angelina’s collapse would have been kept secret. Also, there’s no way that she would not have gone to the hospital, whether by her own willing or because she was forced to by the studio.

She's been hard at work directing her latest project Unbroken in Sydney, Australia. But on Friday, Angelina Jolie afforded herself a brief break as she received a surprise visit from son Pax on the set of the movie. The nine-year-old looked in good spirits as he strolled confidently onto the set to catch up with his.Pax wore a checked shirt and black shorts, grinning widely as he was greeted by cast and crew on the set of the film. And Angelina also appeared cheered up after seeing her son, sporting a wide smile as she was photographed on the set later in the day.The 38-year-old stuck to her usual colour palette of all black, wearing a loose-fitting black T-shirt, jeans and scuffed black boots, with a large hat to protect her pale complexion from the strong sun.She also carried a jacket which she was seen wearing later as the temperatures began to drop. But it wasn't only Pax's visit which cheered Angelina up.She was later seen grinning from ear-to-ear after being given a gift from one of the actors on the set.The present, which appeared to be some kind of medal, was presented to Angelina in a navy box, and the actress looked delighted with the gesture. After thanking the actor, dressed in army greens, Angelina gave him a big hug before continuing with her day of work - which saw her working on an earthquake sequence.
Unbroken is an adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 best-selling book that spent 108 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and 14 of those weeks at No. 1.It tells the story of the life of Zamperini, an Olympic athlete and war veteran who survived a plane crash during the war and floated on a raft for 47 days before being picked up by the Japanese and sent to a prisoner of war camp.Track prodigy Zamperini performed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics at age 19 and even though he didn't win a medal his excellence in the final lap of the 5,000 meter race impressed Adolf Hitler so much that the dictator insisted on meeting the runner personally.Angelina, 37, spoke previously about how the plight of Zamperini affected her.She said: 'It will be hard to make a film worthy of this great man. I am deeply honoured to have the chance and will do all I can to bring Louie’s inspiring story to life.'Everyone involved in the film shares this deep responsibility. Like all readers of Laura’s book and all people who love and admire Louie, I am a fan who has learned so much. He has made me a better person.'And Louis added: 'Angelina is a human dynamo, and I know she will tell this story in the right way. I’ve received so many letters and talked to so many people who say that Laura’s book has helped them when they were going through hard times.'I believe the movie will reach even more people with that message.'Angelina's directorial debut was 2011's In the Land of Blood and Honey, a love story set in the midst of the 1990s Bosnian war.As her directorial role for Unbroken was announced earlier this year, Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson and co-chairman Donna Langley said in a joint statement: 'In her life and in her work, Angelina has embraced stories and causes involving great struggle and triumph over tremendous odds and the basic human condition.'She has a real ability to illustrate the strength in human spirit which will be essential in telling Lou’s story of survival and great heroism.'Unbroken arrives in cinemas on January 16th 2015.
