Angelina Jolie is back home with her family after doing some charitable work with the United Nations. The 46-year-old's first order of business when she was back in Los Angeles was heading out to grab a gourmet bite to eat with a few of her children at Baltaire in Brentwood. Jolie was seen Monday night heading into the hot spot with 17-year-old Pax and 16-year-old Zahara following her trip to Burkina Faso for World Refugee Day. Angelina looked stunning in a sophisticated white wrap dress that draped around her thin frame and nude pointy toe pumps with a midnight blue silk facemask. Her brunette hair was styled in a sleek blow out and left down to cascade around her shoulders. With her at the high-end eatery was son Pax in black pants, a grey printed button-up and some funky black and white Chuck Taylors. Daughter Zahara kept things classic but young in a long sleeve black bodycon mini dress and sneakers. The actress shares her six children - Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivian - with ex-husband Brad. The exes do not currently co-parent amicably and have been battling in court over custody for several years. Angelina just returned back to the states after working in her capacity as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy in Burkina Faso for World Refugee Day. Highlighting how the number of displaced people in the world has doubled in the past year, she said in the West African nation: 'There is nowhere I would rather be today than here, with refugees, the people I admire most in the world.' More than 1.2million people in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa have been forced to flee their homes since 2019, according to the United Nations. Speaking in Burkina Faso's Goudoubo refugee camp, in the central city of Kaya, Ms Jolie added that she had 'never been as worried' about displaced people as she is now. 'We have to wake up to the track we are on globally, with so many conflicts raging and the very real possibility that climate change will force tens if not hundreds of millions of people to have to leave their homes in the future, with no possibility of return,' she warned. Jolie's personal life has been in headlines quite a bit recently as she has been spending time with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller at his apartment in New York during a recent visit. Angelina and Jonny were married in 1996 after meeting on the set of their movie Hackers a year prior, but separated shortly after and officially divorced in 1999.The actress and Pax were spotted heading into Miller's Brooklyn home last week for a visit. And, a day prior Jolie spent hours with her former flame at home enjoying dinner and wine. The visits came after Angelina was reportedly left 'bitterly disappointed' after a court awarded joint custody to her ex Brad Pitt with the star allegedly set to appeal the decision with a hearing due for July 9.

Angelina Jolie yesterday visited refugees in Burkina Faso to highlight the problems faced by people who have to flee their homes. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Special Envoy, 46, donned a headscarf as she spoke in the West African nation to mark World Refugee Day. Highlighting how the number of displaced people in the world has doubled in the past year, she said: 'There is nowhere I would rather be today than here, with refugees, the people I admire most in the world.'More than 1.2million people in the Sahel region of West and Central Africa have been forced to flee their homes since 2019, according to the United Nations. The UN says funding for its response to the refugee crisis in the country is critically low and needs to be boosted by around 80 per cent. 'The way the international community tries to address conflict and insecurity is broken.'It is erratic, it is unequal, it is built on inherited privilege, it is subject to the whim of political leaders, and it is geared towards the interests of powerful countries,' she added. She then called for the international community to focus on finding solutions to reduce refugee numbers globally, saying: 'The truth is we are not doing half of what we could and should do to find solutions to enable refugees to return home - or to support host countries, like Burkina Faso.'Ms Jolie's speech comes after she collaborated with Amnesty International last year on a new book to help young people know their rights when protesting against injustice. The Tomb Raider star said she is keen to help 'empower' those who are trying to make a change in the world, whether that be by protesting on the streets or within their community, with the book Know Your Rights (And Claim Them). It was revealed on Wednesday that the book helps children up to the age of 18 to counter misinformation and let them know how to stop their rights from being violated.

Angelina Jolie claims three of her children with ex-husband Brad Pitt had hopes to testify against him in their ongoing custody case.Jolie, 46, and Pitt, 57, - who finalized their divorce in 2019 - are parents to six kids, five of them minors: Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12. Court documents did not state which of the children were reportedly willing to speak against their father. In a December 2020 court document reviewed by Us Weekly, Jolie's legal team said that 'three of the children have asked to testify' in the ongoing custody proceedings."The children whose custody is at issue are old enough to understand what is going on,' Jolie's lawyer said. 'The trial is necessarily going to impact them emotionally.'To make any of the children endure what may be a futile and void proceeding is beyond unjustified. It is cruel.'The legal team for the Maleficent actress had filed the docs in her efforts to disqualify Judge John Ouderkirk from ruling over the case. While Jolie and Pitt initially agreed to Judge Ouderkirk as a private judge to keep the details of the case sealed, she said last August that the judge is compromised because of 'ongoing business and professional relationships' he has with one of Pitt's lawyers; and that she will appeal a finalized decision made by Ouderkirk in the case.Ouderkirk was kept in the case in October, and in the December 2020 filing, Jolie's legal team said that Ouderkirk's presence at the helm of the case has made for a bad situation in which the children sought out to take the stand and speak their mind in the case.Jolie's legal team said in court docs filed earlier this year that the judge denied the actress 'a fair trial, improperly excluding her evidence relevant to the children's health, safety, and welfare, evidence critical to making her case.'An insider told the outlet that Maddox last month delivered testimony that 'wasn't very flattering toward Brad, and that 'he doesn't use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren't legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn't support.'Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 - citing the 'the health of the family' - in the wake of a conflict on a private flight from France to Los Angeles in which she accused Pitt of behaving abusively to son Maddox, who was 15 at the time. The Academy Award-winning actor faced no charges in connection with the incident amid probes from the FBI and social services.
