HOLLYWOOD superstar Angelina Jolie will bring her cast and crew from her international feature film Unbroken to the Hunter Valley.Deputy Premier Andrew Stoner announced today that Jolie and her crew had arrived in Sydney to begin filming and will head to the Hunter Valley during the next couple of months. The announcement follows reports that the Mr and Mrs Smith star visited Maitland in August to scout locations for the World War II drama.Backed by major Hollywood studio Universal Pictures, Unbroken chronicles the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash only to be caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.Zamperini will be played by British actor Jack O’Connell of This is England fame.Mr Stoner said Unbroken would inject millions of dollars into the NSW economy and create more than 300 full-time equivalent jobs for NSW-based crew alone, and more for cast and extras.Filming locations will also include Fox Studios Sydney, Gold Coast Queensland and Werris Creek near Tamworth.
