Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt legally dropped her father's surname in a Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday.Court documents reviewed by The Daily Mail revealed that the name change was finalized by Judge Virginia Keeny.A minute order in the case read, 'After review of the case file, the court rules as follows: There being no objections, the petition for change of name is granted.' 'The Decree is signed and filed. The Petitioner's name is changed from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie.'Zahara, 21, is the third of the children to legally have the surname Pitt removed, following Shiloh, 20, in 2024 and Maddox, 25, earlier this month. The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Jolie and Pitt for further comment on the story. A spokesperson for Pitt declined to comment.A source close to the actor told The Daily Mail, 'It's upsetting but it's just the latest example of the incredibly effective campaign of alienation against the father; it's sad and no one wins in this situation.' An insider linked to the Jolie camp told Page Six that Monday's hearing had been 'required by law and scheduled months ago by the L.A. court system.'The insider said of Pitt, 62: 'It's a new low to have his camp to spin a conspiracy theory, disavow responsibility for his conduct, and attack his own child.' 'Keep in mind, his daughter has had the grace not to discuss the details of his behavior in public.'Pitt and Jolie split in September of 2016 and finalized their divorce in December 2024. They are parents to six children: Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax, 22, Knox, 18, and Vivienne, 18.Zahara and Maddox had published statements in the Los Angeles Daily Journal in June and July stating their intents to remove Pitt from their surnames, which provided time for anyone in opposition to turn in written materials on the issue.Zahara did not use the name Pitt when she graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta this past May, going by the name Zahara Marley Jolie. She had gone by the same name in November of 2023 as she was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.Zahara's siblings have taken similar tacks amid the hostility between their parents: Maddox in May ceased using his surname, while Shiloh took a similar action in May of 2024 following her 18th birthday, both later making the name changes official in court.Vivienne also posted multiple statements to the newspaper dropping Pitt from her surname, with a hearing slated for November 2. She went by the name Vivienne Jolie while working with Jolie on the Broadway musical The Outsiders two years ago. Knox did not use the name Pitt during his graduation from the Fusion Academy in Los Angeles this past June.
Pitt and Jolie's high-profile relationship began when they worked on the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, leading to his 2005 divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, 57, after more than four years of marriage. The pair married in August 2014 during a secret ceremony in the South of France and welcomed three children together during their romance: Shiloh in 2006 and twins Vivienne and Knox in 2008.They also adopted two more, Zahara and Pax, and Pitt legally adopted the son that Angelina had adopted before they got together, Maddox.Jolie - whose films include Maleficent, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Girl, Interrupted - filed for divorce in 2016 after a volatile plane incident and abuse allegations, which Pitt has adamantly denied. He has also never been charged with a crime and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services cleared Pitt of physical abuse allegations. The A-listers went on to battle it out in a grueling eight-year divorce battle that was finalized in 2024.The family divide was again brought to the forefront when Pitt's mother, Jane Etta Pitt, died last year at the age of 84. Sources revealed at the time that she had been cut off from her grandchildren for about nine years and they did not get a chance to speak before her death.'The most gut-wrenching part is that Angelina kept the kids away from his parents, from their own grandparents,' one insider alleged to the Daily Mail last August.Pitt, the star of films including Fight Club, Moneyball and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, has been romantically-linked to jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since 2022. They had been seen this past weekend at the San Sebastián Film Festival in Spain.

Angelina Jolie has sold her Los Feliz mansion for $24.75 million as the actress's plans for her 'new life' have been revealed. The 51-year-old star, who recently made an eye-catching fashion statement while at JFK Airport, initially purchased the sprawling abode in 2017 for around the same price of $24.5 million following her split from Brad Pitt. The 11,000-square-foot home, which was previously owned by famed director Cecil B. DeMille, contains six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. The listing is held by Sotheby's International Realty as well as The Agency, and a contract is currently pending, per the Sotheby's website. Daily Mail has reached out to reps of Jolie for comment, but has yet to hear back. Jolie's house was snatched up after being on the market for five months, with the Hollywood star putting the residence on the market back in May for nearly $30 million. The home, which was built back in 1913, sits on two acres and offers scenic views of the surrounding Hollywood Hills as well as the Griffith Observatory. The interior contains a farmhouse style kitchen, a variety of living spaces and a library room. The home also has a tea house, a wine cellar, a fitness studio and a laundry room in the basement. Lush green grass fills the backyard and leads down to a large swimming pool which allows residents to cool down in warmer weather. A spacious pool house is nearby while the property itself is also surrounded by tall greenery and trees. Jolie's selling of the house comes as her next steps have been revealed with her children now moved out. A source claimed to TMZ that the Maleficent actress plans to leave Los Angeles and has yet to configure a new place to call home. The star will jump back into some work around the globe, including in Cambodia where she also owns a residence, per the insider. Back in 2024, Jolie had sparked speculation that she would eventually leave L.A. during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. 'I grew up in this town. I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they're 18, I'll be able to leave,' the actress told the outlet at the time. 'When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.'
Jolie added that after leaving California, she will 'spend a lot of time in Cambodia. I'll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.'Earlier this month, Jolie and Pitt's son Maddox was their latest child to drop the actor's last name.Maddox, 25, legally removed Pitt from his moniker, following in the footsteps of his younger sibling Shiloh, 20.Meanwhile, Zahara, 21, and fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox, 18, have informally stopped using their dad's surname, with plans to legalize the change.A Los Angeles judge granted the name change on Monday, officially making their son's name Maddox Chivan Jolie, per Page Six.'There are no objections, the petition for change of name is granted,' the court order reviewed by the outlet states. 'The Decree is signed and filed. The Petitioner’s name is changed from Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt to Maddox Chivan Jolie.'Maddox attended the Stanley Mosk Courthouse hearing remotely, alongside attorney Peter Levine.Earlier this year, Maddox and Zahara published legal notices in the Los Angeles Daily Journal declaring their intent to drop their father's last name.Zahara has a scheduled name change hearing on September 28.In July 2024, Shiloh's attorney made a statement about her decision to drop her 62-year-old dad's last name. She filed for the change on her birthday in May, and it was publicly announced with a legal notice in the Los Angeles Times.Regarding the publicity of the proceeding, Shiloh's lawyer, the aforementioned Levine, shared that she 'made an independent and significant decision following painful events.'He added that she was 'merely following legal process' when publishing the information. Jolie and Pitt split in 2016 following a 12-year relationship and two-year marriage, with their divorce finalized eight years later in December 2024.The contentious exes are in an ongoing legal battle stemming from a disagreement regarding their shared French winery, Château Miraval.Pitt claims Jolie sold her stake to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler behind his back, breaking an agreement that they would not sell without the other's knowledge. The actor has been in a relationship with jewelry designer Ines de Ramon since 2022.

Salma Hayek recalled how she and Angelina Jolie were 'passionately screaming at each other' on the set of their new movie, Without Blood. Jolie and Hayek, who worked as director and actress, respectively, on the film, recently opened up about their unfiltered conversations and the type of dynamic they have with each other. 'I haven't had that kind of connection in my life,' Jolie, 51, told People in an interview published on Saturday. Hayek, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday by stripping down for a nude swim, said they were often 'crying,' 'cracking up' and 'passionately screaming at each other' while filming together in the summer of 2022. She also said their conversations on set were 'delicious' and 'very organic.' 'I love her mind and I get her,' she said about working with Jolie and being directed by her. 'So I think when you know somebody gets you, you feel safe and you can be whoever you are in whatever circumstances,' she added.Jolie, who previously starred alongside Hayek in the 2021 Marvel movie Eternals, also highlighted their connection because of their 'similar' life experiences. 'I think it's so nice we met at this later stage in our life,' Jolie said. 'Because we've both been through so many similar things, experienced different things, and somehow have landed as older women in a very similar place,' she explained. 'Even though I'm much older than her, by the way,' Hayek quipped.'Not that much older,' Jolie responded, laughing. 'To appreciate the friendship and that bond and that understanding, I haven't had that kind of a connection in my life.'
Hayek also concurred, adding: 'It's hard to find that connection, and I think that's what part of the movie is also about, how difficult it is to communicate, to connect.' In their new film Without Blood, which was written, coproduced and directed by Jolie, Hayek stars as Nina, opposite Demián Bechir's character Tito. The war drama is based on Alessandro Baricco's same-name novel. The plot follows a woman named Nina who survived a war and seeks revenge decades after a tragic family massacre. 'Sometimes we would start passionately screaming at each other,' Hayek recalled about her interactions with her director while filming the movie. 'Then I start crying and she hugs me, then we're laughing nonstop,' she continued. 'And from the outside, I could see people say, "What's going on?"' Hayek also said she 'can say whatever' to Jolie. 'She's never offended because it's coming from me. And we're talking about issues, and then we start crying because we're moved, not because we made each other cry... And then we say something stupid and we start cracking up.' Without Blood first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2024 before receiving a theatrical release in Italy the following April. The film premiered in theaters across the United States on Friday.
