On a pre-order basis, Christian Louboutin is selling the magical shoes he designed with actress Angelina Jolie for her Maleficent promotional tour. When Angelina Jolie was promoting her Disney film Maleficent earlier this year, all eyes were firmly on her fabulous footwear. The patent, court-like shoes with mesh panels and a sculpted heel made to look like tendrils of smoke, were quickly claimed to be by that French shoe-maker of red-sole fame, Christian Louboutin. Jolie debuted a pair in black, then came white and gold versions as the promotional tour rolled on - each hand-made in Monsieur Louboutin's Paris atelier. And now the good news is that you don't have to be a cloak-wearing villain to own a pair.Christian Louboutin today revealed that the shoes, called Malangeli, were created in collaboration between the designer and the 39-year-old actress and will be sold on a made-to-order basis. The shoes were of course inspired by Jolie's character Maleficent in the film of the same name - a black-sporting fairy who calls herself the Mistress of All Evil. Thus, they feature nude mesh to create 'an illusion of magic' and 'the result is an exclusive shoe that's dark, dangerous and altogether seductive, on the red carpet and off', according to the brand.Available in the UK by calling Christian Louboutin's Mount Street store (020 7491 0033), the shoes retail at £950. Profits from sales will benefit SOS Children's Villages, the world's largest organisation dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children which has been supported by mother-of-six Jolie since 2003.Louboutin was clearly bewitched by his high profile collaborator: "It is exciting to work with someone who has such a strong aesthetic and character. Getting to know Angelina through a fun collaboration has been one of my greatest pleasures!!!"
